Doordashed a few of their specialty tacos. I got the gobernador, shrimp & marlin tacos. The flavor is there; the crispy taco shells are a great compliment. First time trying marlin, was very well marinated and flavorful. The texture reminds me of a firm fish like tuna or mahi-mahi. I only wish they gave more radish to pair with than one slice each taco because the tacos were pretty heavy and the refreshing crisp of the radish helps balance them out considering there's no onions or cilantro in these tacos. I've been coming to Culichi Town for a couple of years now, and from the very first visit, I fell in love with everything -- the food, the service, and the fun atmosphere. My family and I have made it part of our routine, coming here at least twice a week because it always felt like one of our favorite places to eat together. That's why it really saddened us to see the restaurant's recent B rating from the health department. Out of curiosity and concern, we looked into the inspection results and noticed that cleanliness in the kitchen has gone down quite a bit. Still, because we're loyal customers, we decided to give it another try. Unfortunately, this last visit made us understand why the score dropped. Our cups had food residue, and we noticed other signs that things aren't being cleaned as they should. It was disappointing, especially knowing how much we've loved this place over the years. I truly hope the owner and management take this seriously and bring back the same care and attention to detail that made this restaurant so special in the first place. Stop by for a birthday dinner and in the beginning everything was fine we got empanadas as an appetizer and those were really good but when it came to our actual plates they weren't up to quality my mom got a sushi roll and you can tell the tempura was too hard from being a hit over fried at high temperature. The issue was having to wait over an hour for our food to come out and then when it did they only brought out the cold plates, then we had to wait another 20ish minutes for the hot plates to come out and it was only when we said something that they brought them out right away. The ambiance was good though definitely a place to go to drink but not eat. Overall horrible experience and wouldn't come back. To top it off we got charged for drinks that weren't ours!! They do not accommodate to strollers, as they are not at all allowed inside, since their servers can "trip over it". Instead, they offer a bulky car seat holder. Also, they are Carless when picking up plates. They dropped someone else's lemon in my water and didn't say anything! They didn't provide napkins unless asked for, and they are slow at picking up extra plates or glassware from the table. Food was ok. Drinks are 6.50 each. There's a 3% convenience fee but if you ask, they don't know how to answer what it's for. Parking was not the best for me but honestly, this place made up for it. You can feel the Mexican pride the moment you walk in. The live Banda is a blast, and it really sets the mood for a good time. The food is solid, gives you a taste of home. Although I will admit I wish the portions were bigger because prices here are not that cheap. With the soda and ice, 3 sips and you'll need a refill. We asked for refills twice and to our SURPRISE, the soda refills were $5 each plus a 2% "convenience fee". I was not aware that we would be charged for each refill. I wish their cups weren't as small and we wouldn't need as many refills. To start off, I want to state that I've gone through some extremely bad scenarios in different establishments throughout the years but this is the FIRST time I've taken the time and energy out of my day to express my dissatisfaction and anger . I was carrying my 1 year old waiting for a high chair. Well 30 minutes of me standing in the middle of the restaurant went by and the chair never arrived. I asked a few different staff members for help , finally someone came out from behind the bar to say they didn't have an extra high chair. I carried on with the evening as we were celebrating a birthday . Finally after an hr the waiter came by and asked for our drink order . While carrying my 1 year old all I wanted was some sparkling water so that's what I ordered. While this was happening , a family who was using a high chair left the establishment so the waiter brought over the chair without cleaning it. I placed my daughter in the chair just to find out the chair didn't have any security straps or belts!!!! My daughter was extremely close to falling off this chair. We ordered 4 kid meals that came with nuggets, fries ,apple slices and a drink. Well the nuggets were rock hard and so were the fries. The apples for all 4 meals were ROTTEN!!!!!!!! I asked the waiter to swap them out and he brought out another 4 packs of guesss what? Same rotten apples . We ordered blended drinks, they brought out the wrong items after an hr wait. The establishment uses very cheaply made paper straws that deluded into the drinks. While waiting for help I decided to just walk up the the bar and ask for extra straws . This is when I noticed 2 staff members refilling a bottle of clase azul tequila (premium liquor) with a non labeled tequila bottle . Bad went to worse .... Food came with no utensils. Beers with the cap still on etc . I approached the manager and told him about my daughter's apples all I wanted was a fresh pack. He looked at me with disbelief and called me a liar infront of his staff members . I paid the bill of over 1300 dollars . When I arrived at home we noticed the charged multiple items 3 times .
