Today was my first time trying Snappy Salads and it was a great experience. Upon entering staff was extremely nice and held door open for me. I went after the lunch rush and the place was clean and they were prepped. I ordered a full salad and added my own choices. It was delicious and fresh. I did not realize how large the sizes are. Very generous amount. Enough for two or three meals. I did not expect to pay $17 for a full salad and a drink, but I was not paying attention to prices so my bad. My mother and I visited the Plano Snappy Salads recently for lunch. The place was busy, but the line moved fast and there was plenty of seating, both inside and out. I opted for the build-your-own Half-Snap (the half was huge!). My mother went with the Santa Fe Chicken Wrap. My salad was a-ma-zing (partly due to the freshness and partly because it was made up of all of my favorite ingredients). My mom loved the wrap and said that will be her "go-to" for future visits. After reading some of the reviews, we were prepared for gouging prices and unhelpful, incapable staff. However, our experience was very much the opposite. Prices: We found the prices on par with most restaurants. $7/$8 for a DIY salad with your choice of greens (including spinach) and 8 fresh toppings is not outrageous. And after seeing the quantity and tasting the quality, the price was a deal. These are entree salads, NOT side salads. People who find this expensive must not eat out often. Staff: While we were standing in line, a manager greeted us and asked if we had any questions about the menu. After he left us, he proceeded to walk around and pick up empty bowls, etc, from the tables. I am always impressed when a manager gets his/her hands "dirty." We had an equally pleasant experience with the employees behind the counter. They were helpful and knowledgeable, and everyone was working, doing their part. I ordered online for pick up and it was ready and the staff was very friendly. I wasn't sure what type of dressing my Steakhouse Salad came with but now I know it was a cheese dressing and it was very good. I could had probably had a steak and baked potato all the way plus a salad elsewhere and it would had been more guiltless this is not a healthy salad choice and the steak is very spicy! If you're looking for a mystery salad despite ordering one in their menu, this is the place for you! They consistently mess up the salad-whether it's leaving out an ingredient or putting a completely different dressing on it-it's a mystery. I have a new place to get fresh salad in Dallas! They have specialty salads, wraps and soups, but my favorite is the Create Your Own salad. You pick your type of lettuce and then add up to eight items, (tomatos, cucumbers, peppers, etc.) then pick from multiple homemade dressings, then add a protein if you like for an additional charge. The staff is friendly and helpfull. The only negative was the restroom, it has a strange odor which may have been coming from the floor drain as the restroom appeared clean. read more

So Good, Even Guys like our Salads! I'm a Guy and I usually dont like salads. The types of salads that I usually get are more protein oriented than brightly colored leafy greens. However, this past weekend, my wife coaxed me into trying Snappy Salad and touted that it was something I would enjoy. For me, a staple salad at a "good" salad joint is their Cobb Salad. Its usually pretty consistent and what makes me return is if they added some flair to make it memorable. I ordered a half order Cobb and I would say it was pretty standard. Grilled Chicken, hard boiled egg pieces, bacon, cherry tomatos, gorgonzola cheese, and HALF an avocado(that is a lot of avocado for a half order salad). Dressing was adequate in both taste and amount used. My wife ordered the grilled avocado salad. Apparently, grilling avocado makes is taste even better. She loves avocado! (she got half an avocado too!) As I saw the 2 salads get packaged I thought, hmm....I might enjoy this place. If the salads tasted as good as they looked, I could come back. And then I got to the cash register....dun dun DUN!!!!!! $21.XX please. I looked back at the price board to make sure the prices were correct. I reluctantly paid and took my salads. - Cobb salad was pretty normal - generous with ingredients (avocado) - too much $$$ for half order I did see a Yellow tail tuna salad that looked delicious but didnt catch the price. I love snappy salads, which is why I drive the extra 7 miles all the way to the Richardson location instead of this one even though it's right by my house because for some reason this location has been skimping on the ingredients. I've been eating at snappy for 3 years, I've gone to almost all the locations in the dfw because I travel around so much. It's always this location that makes my wrap way way small every time. The last time I came in, I showed the manager my tiny wrap and he stared at me with a blank face, no words. I guess he didn't care. It made me really sad, I hope the management gets fixed. I was hoping this place was like Salata since it is so close to me. Unfortunately, it's far from it. The ingredients lack luster and flavor. Portion size for what you pay is not worth it. I'm a very picky salad eater. This place is fresh, faster than a typical sit-down restaurant, and has a huge selection. My husband and I tend to avoid rush hours, as sitting room is limited during busy times of the day, but every time is always a pleasant experience. I've never had a salad I didn't enjoy, and the soups are good, too! Pricing is a bit high, but for the quality of ingredients and location, I'm pretty much a regular. Today I visited this location for the first time. I've been to the Preston/Forest and NorthPark Center locations, but my best experience was here. Service: I went with a friend who had never been before, and Chris saw us and other customers looking at the menu for an extended period of time. Without any prompt, he came from behind the counter to introduce himself to us (asked for our names, too), ask how our days were going, and help us with any questions on the menu. He then happily helped us create our salads. The person who tossed our salads and checked us out was also extremely friendly. When we finished eating but remained seated, Chris asked us how our meal was and took our bowls for us. He opened the door for us when we left, telling my friend "you don't have to touch a thing, ma'am!" before wishing us a happy afternoon. The excellent service alone is what prompted me to create a Yelp! account and write a review. It was truly exceptional. I will note, though, that I went around 1:30, after the lunch rush. Other reviews indicate the service may not be as stellar during peak business times. Food: Every experience I've had has included fresh ingredients and a wonderful selection. My salad tasted wonderful. Environment: The atmosphere of the restaurant is nice. Soft lighting across the room with appealing colors and materials contributed to the pleasant experience. It's worth noting, though, that the first chair I picked was wobbly (probably missing a foot) and the table was not clean. Price: It was a bit expensive ($20 for both of us, even though my friend got a vegetarian salad and water), but I suppose you get what you pay for. This is one of the best salad places I know! The staff is beyond nice and clearly works hard to make sure that the product is as healthy as possible. It is a salad bar so during lunch time the line can become long with everyone ordering a custom salad. They have many dressing that's are created in house and taste amazing. Came in with my sister today and as usual, the salad was amazing, but we had a concern. There was a new team member named Kenny who was such a delight! He was very helpful and had a great attitude! He was eager to get it right and you could tell he was really trying. Natalie, another team member, was a different story altogether. She seemed as though she was bothered and didn't want to help us. When Kenny asked for guidance- which is to be expected when he's brand new and the store is busy like it was- Natalie rolled her eyes, groaned, made faces, and overall, made us and Kenny feel bad. My sister and I made it a point to get Kenny's name and tell him he was doing a GREAT job and he was appreciated-because you could see that Natalie really discouraged him with her almost bully-like behavior.
