We're in town on vacation and went here yesterday for lunch. Everything was delicious! We had the huckleberry cider 5/5 stars, pepperoni pizza 5/5, steak tacos 5/5, Roper sandwich 5/5 after we added horseradish sauce, and the bison beef chili 5/5. The glacier pie for dessert was also 5/5! The waitress was very nice. There was a bit of a wait after we sat down, but she did a great job. We met the manager and he was lovely. The burger had no seasoning and was unfortunately extremely well done, to the point it just crumbled apart when eating it. The fish while fried well, also seemed to lack any seasoning. I highly recommend the smoked trout dip! It is the main reason I come here. My partner always orders the spicy peanut noodles which she enjoys. She always asks them to cook the sprouts and vegetables otherwise they come out cold on top. I usually get a burger, but I opted for the chili today because the menu said it was a three time winner in the Jackson Hole Chili Cook-off- I was not a fan. I could only taste chili powder and nothing else. I like to maybe more flavor- garlic and spice in addition to the chili powder etc. I added sour cream to try and cut through the bitter taste, but it didn't help much. After an hour of waiting, we realized that our server hadn't refilled our waters, hadn't been back to our table a single time to check on us, and our hummus and food had not been dropped off - whilst, every table around us got their orders (tables that had ordered the same items, after us). After an hour of this, I finally got up to ask the order if we could expect our food soon, he rushed into the kitchen to check on our order, came back with a "free" $5 beer. No apology. No explanation. No reasoning for why every other table in the establishment had been served before us even though we had ordered something as simple as hummus. The answer? We were the only colors people in this place. Please be cautious of coming here as the service was god awful and extremely disappointing - we have never experienced something like this ever. A fun brewery with a great beer, selection and top-notch food. There was a sour beer there that I really loved, and my boyfriend got a flight that was fun trying beers from. I ordered the elk bolognese and it was delicious. It was big enough to have leftovers too - ended up making the best elk bolognese grilled cheese the next day. They had a spacious grassy area that was self serve, and that's where no waited for their patio seating. It overwhelmed all flavor of anything else. The normal burger was fine, but very disappointing that their additions made it much, much worse. Drinks: The beer menu was extensive and the two beers we tried were good. We even bought some extra to take home. Best part of our meal. Service: We were seated immediately. Our waitress was generally attentive, but she seemed quite overwhelmed. It looked like she was responsible for the entire upstairs, which was way too many parties for her. Good effort by her, but way too much on her plate. Value: The bbq burger was $22 and the normal burger was $18. Both seemed overpriced for what you got, especially the bbq burger. Beers were close to $10 each. Not bad, but cheaper to just buy it by the can downstairs. Atmosphere: We sat in the upstairs area, which is reserved for dining as opposed to the downstairs bar area. Both areas were dead when we walked in around 2pm, but the upstairs filled up with families towards the end of our meal. I thought there would be a much bigger presence. Another great spot for some casual dining in downtown Jackson. This brewpub has a great menu from breakfast to dinner as well as their regular selection of beers. They do offer some seasonal and specialty beers to match some of their bar food items. The place can get busy , but there's plenty of seating both inside and in their courtyard. Recommend trying a flight of their beers to sample...but if you like IPA, you'll like the "Earned It. And the Jenny Lake Lager is also a good one to try. read more

We flew into Jackson Hole late afternoon on a Tuesday. We were tired and hungry. Luckily this awesome brewery was a block from our hotel. Their Happy Hour is 1/2 off drafts daily from 4-6. Their craft beers are DELISH!!! My favorite is Jenny Lake. The brewery has an industrial feel with indoor/outdoor seating. A nice lawn area that offers live music (on weekends). We sat at the bar and had excellent service!! We ordered the Smoked Trout Spread that comes with flatbread. It was over the top delicious!!! Fast forward to Friday of same week. We tried several other places to eat around JH and nothing compared to the craft beer, food, and service we had at Snake River.....so back we went!! This time it was Friday evening and the vibe was dynamic!!! Lots of folks on the lawn enjoying the band. Cute pups everywhere. Even with the bigger crowd we had no problem getting seats and excellent service!! Shout out to Luke who juggled a million things at once with true professionalism!! Hidden gem in the back side of town. Earlier this week we found their beer sold at a convenience store in Island Park. Little did we know we'd end up eating at their brewery! We were seated upstairs and everyone was enjoying Sunday football. The tables are crammed next to each other, so you might be getting cozy with your neighbors. Our server was friendly but distracted. It was hard getting his attention to order, to get a straw! And another beer and even to pay! I think I tried five times to get his attention. To be fair it's noisy and he had 5-7 tables, but it was frustrating nonetheless. Food was delicious! I had the trout and it had so much flavor. The pork belly mixed in with the vegetables was amazing and worth the $30. Stephen had the bowl of the bison-beef chili. It came with a generous cornbread. I'm not sure what went so wrong! We read the reviews before going here and we were so hopeful! Apparently Tuesday at lunch time isn't a vibe. $300+ tab. Took forever to even have a waiter come to the table, never even got a refill on water for the table. They were out of almost every soda option except Diet Pepsi. Had to ask multiple times for any other drink to be refilled except the ones that added more money to the tab. Brisket burgers were DRY. Regular burgers were DRY. Wrong appetizer was delivered to the table. Some of the games upstairs ate the kids money, and nobody could give change for the games that did actually work. So disappointing. We went here thinking it was going to be a great experience, even scoped out some merch that we were going to grab on our way out. Only thing we saved money on was the merch we opted not to buy. The beer is def better than the food. I've tried many dishes over the years. Never had an "amazing" food experience. I guess the beer is more important. Recently, ordered the Beef Short Ribs. "Braised short ribs, rosemary cream polenta, mesquite fried onions & red wine au jus". "Mesquite" fried onions? Does that mean smoky flavored? Not tasting it. I got it to-go, so I understand the presentation is not perfect. I expect Short Ribs to be "fall off the bone" tender. Not even close. I got 4 slices of a sinewy, chewy dry short rib on a bed of polenta with barely any sauce, and a small pile of deep fried onions. Basically one short rib. Stick in your teeth chewy. $29. Our two families were looking for a dog friendly patio to eat dinner at and hopefully watch the soccer game. The reviews for Snake River Brewing seemed to offer both so we left our campground and came. I don't know if it was our outdoor attire, the fact we had kids, the fact we had our dog, or the fact we were a large party but there was a generally unwelcoming vibe from the jump. I was hoping I was misreading things, but as our meal went on, more of our party noticed it as well. It was also very evident that other tables were not having the same experience as we were. Other tables were getting smiles and friendly banter. We were getting straight transactional. Even when we asked for recommendations for food, it was less than enthusiastically given. Our party was two families (one with five and one with seven) and were mild by large party sake. Our kids are 10-16 so it wasn't like we had needy messy loud kids. They only had water and never even asked for refills. Our tables had waters, two bar drinks and two sodas. After a while, we asked the waiter to refill the sodas. He brought the news ones and then dropped off water pitchers at each table. Had he done this to begin with, it wouldn't have felt so much like "fill them your damn selves". The fact he didn't even say anything when he dropped them off was a some added "don't ask me again". We realized that our group wasn't going to be able to stay and watch the game. Our girls were pretty bummed. The bar and TVs were upstairs and the kids and dog were a no go up there. There was a really fun courtyard with chairs, cornhole, and other yard games but we figured we'd just find another place to go. Food wise, we got some bison burgers and big hole burgers and they were okay. Burgers had no sauces so the buns were dry (ketchup on the tables), asked for medium well and they were well done. The best review of the food came from the kids mac and cheese; sizable portion, good taste. Also, if you're looking for a beer or wine flight, they don't have them and despite what we saw online, happy hour only includes $1 off beers, no happy hour food deals. Every now and again while traveling you stumble across a place that's reasonably priced, great atmosphere, phenomenal service, and quite literally the best dinner. That's not even taking into account their beer. We only had two different samplings of their pizza and the trout dip as an appetizer - but if we were back in the area (live ~20 hours away across the US) this would be the place to come back to.
