Went here after traveling though the Grand Teton nat'l park. We called and they told us no wait - 5 minutes later we arrived to a 15 minute wait. The hostess was rude when we asked about it then we walked into bar to wait and there were many tables available. Don't think it was staffing related as they ended up filling up all the tables. We had the trout which was good, the elk Bolognese and the chili. They were all just "ok". The service was also just ok - either attitude was "eh" or they had too many tables. Seemed to be attitude to me. Lots of kids so good place for kids. In short, there a lot of better choices in town and I recommend trying somewhere else. read more

We went here the day before yesterday and chose this particular restaurant because of the reviews. Boy, what a let down. Not sure if the service or quality has gone down dramatically since the prior reviews where written? The location is central and spacious. The hostess though, needs to go! Surly attitude and condescending tone. She seems annoyed that her job involved going up and down the stairs to see which tables were available. I think this could be solved if the upstairs severs could just call her downstairs and let her know which tables were available?? Or perhaps some sort of buzzer system? We were seated upstairs near the kitchen and asked to be moved to a table outside and were told "oh that table has a reservation." Lies. Their recorded phone line says they don't take reservations. We asked to be moved to at least the next table over and the attitude from the servers and hostess was that it was a huge inconvenience to them. The table was cleared but there were French fries all over the floor under the table that were left there for us to step on to sit down. The food was mediocre at best. The trout dip seemed like canned trout was poured into cream cheese and some pickles were cut up on top. The lavash bread were pita crackers, not lavash. The fish and chips came out cold. Snake River Brewing gets pretty decent reviews, but it just wasn't hitting for us. When we pulled up, there's a large, outdoor space with a bunch of seating, green space, etc. - it looks super fun actually! It was raining and cold the day we were there so we sat inside which was fine by us. Cozied up at a table right next to the fireplace and that's where their 3 stars are coming from. Fire was great, however, there were a bunch of flies near our table and upon further inspection, all around the fireplace, windows, etc. was dirty; spiderwebs, dust & dirt. I know this is a brewery therefore you'll have the smell of beer throughout, but the smell was like stale beer that had been sitting for a while - just not appealing. The food: Apparently they're known for their chili and it's won awards - it's a beef/bison chili - it was good, but not great. The chili on its own that is - with all of the toppings, this helped elevate the flavors a bit. Overall, I'd rate the chili a 7. The beer: I opted for their sour - again, good but not anything to write home about. Would give that a 6.5. The service: Was average - I'd give it a 7. The COVID: Staff wears masks and gloves - hand sanitizer can be found throughout, so they're doing what they should be doing in that respect. An 8. The overall: A good place to grab a couple of beers and hang with friends - they also have plenty of TV's if you want to catch a game. Veni vidi vici This past 4th of July weekend, we visited downtown Jackson and was looking to grab some local craft beer and food. A quick search revealed Snake River Brewery a few blocks away.... Sigh. We did not want to drive. Reviews decent, but you know how that is.... What the heck, off we went. Walking in at lunch on a Saturday, we were greeted and promptly shown to our seats up by the bar. Holy moly, great menu options. The bartender was no help, she just said "yeah, it is all good.....". Thanks...... Why, yes please, can I order one of everything? We ended up ordering Wood Fired Nachos, BBQ Pig and Peach Pizza, Bison and Beef Chili. A ton of food came out with our bartender just laughing at the shocked look on our faces. Pig and Peach, peach? Really? Well, I am here to tell you A+++++++. The combo just works, each flavor compliments each other......Everything was perfect, amazing presentation and amazing flavor. I destroyed my meal in record time. Washing the meal down, I enjoyed a perfect pour of Earned It IPA - actually had three, but who is counting..... This is the straight poop. Breweries fall in three categories. 1. Great food, crappy beer, crappy venue 2. Great beer, crappy food, crappy venue 3. Drove into Jackson before our visit to Grand Teton National Park. We called to order take out but no one picked up, so we walked up to the host canopy setup and they told us to go inside to order. We wanted to try their beer but takeout beer minimum is a 6 pack. We are going camping so wouldn't be able to keep the beer cold. Our takeout was hot and I was impressed considering my other takeout experiences during the pandemic. We waited 35 mins (we were told 20 mins) for our food which was quite long but after tasting the food and its temperature, it made up for it a little. Buffalo Cauliflower - it was very crispy but some of the pieces still had batter inside so it was gooey. If it was thoroughly fried through, this would have been so good! Wyoming Bison & Beef Chili - worth trying! It was very good, I couldn't really taste the bison because of all the seasoning in the chili. Baked Mac - a very unique baked Mac but the flavors surprisingly worked. The diced pickles, ham, cheese sauce, and cauliflower combination creates a lighter Mac. Cool atmosphere with a large outdoor area. The staff was friendly but our waitress was very quiet and our interactions were pretty awkward. The beer list is large but and the beer we chose was average but we enjoyed it. We both had the Walnut & Gorgonzola Salad to start and then we each tried a different pizza. We definitely could have shared a pizza but we enjoyed the leftovers later. The salad was very tasty and a large portion for just a half salad. This place was really a 3-4 star place but can't actually think of a legit reason to give it a 3 star purely because I as meh about it. I ordered the fish and chips and while they looked delicious in person the breading was crispy but lacked flavor or even seasoning. The beer though was pretty decent. I ordered the IPA and while not particularly something I would go out of my way to have again it was a solid IPA! It was crazy packed the night I went and was a bit squished between two other seats at the middle bar. Had they just taken one of those seats out I'm sure everyone would have been more comfortable. The ambience was cool though and they have a fire pit and tiki torches in front with a great view of the slopes! I understand it was packed and I can be very patient but my patience was tested twice when I couldn't get anyone to come take my order or let me pay out. A little outside of the main Jackson square but totally worth visiting while in town. This place is huge!! Plenty of room for social distancing inside on all levels and outside on the patio. We sat at the bar and were just stopping in for an appetizer and to try the beer. We first sat down and were amazed how the bar had an ice strip for your beer to sit on while you sat and enjoyed it to keep it cool. HOW GENIUS?!?! Why have we never seen this before and why isn't it more of a frequent thing. It literally made our beer cold to the last sip. The service was good when we first got there but as soon as we got our drinks that's when it started to go bad. Our table overlooked the tanks of beer that was being made which was cool however, while watching the lady stir the beer in the tanks, she continuously touched the paddle that she was using to the ground (metal disgusting stairs) and then would put it back in to stir. The waitress barely checked on us and my son's drink was empty almost the whole time until my husband went up and asked a different waitress for a refill, my burger was missing things that the menu stated would be on there and when I asked the waitress acted clueless. A canned cider not even from the brewery was 10.00 for 1 can - absolute ripoff. The food was ok but once we got it the waitress stood in the area next to the bar upstairs and talked to other staff the entire time we were eating without checking on us or anyone else. It wasn't too loud in the restaurant but we had a child with us and they sat us upstairs by the bar when there were multiple other seats available. Ordered beers and the nachos. While I don't expect a a brewery to have amazing food, I would expect the nachos to be pretty easy to get half way right. The ratios were all off. There were 4 jalapeño pieces, a small cup of salsa, hardly any refried beans, a 4th of the entire dish was sour cream, a small plop of guacamole, and then a normal amount of chips. I don't know if it was the first time this person made nachos but I didn't really feel like talking to the waiter because I wasn't sure he even worked there. He was wearing board shorts. Now I understand a casual work environment but I don't really think Board shorts when standing over customers is at all acceptable. It would be if we were near an ocean...or even a lake, but haven't seen anything like that in Jackson. I didn't even mention him coming to take our order while I was clearly talking on the phone. Delicious pizza, tasty beer - what more could you want? Service is a bit slow and the upstairs is a little crowded, but overall a very pleasant out of town experience. I enjoyed the BBQ pig and peach pizza, my husband had the California pizza, and my son had the elk bolognese. We all enjoyed our dishes - but my personal favorite was the BBQ pig and peach pizza, which was a surprised because I am not usually wild about bbq sauce on pizza...but this was a great pick and the jalapeño gave it a nice kick. Super cool place after the slopes. Great been, food and service. We had a gentleman name Florin and he was awesome he had a strong accent and was very helpful with selecting items from the menu. My friend wanted a cheeseburger and he said "we'll make you one" (they didn't show one on the menu.). The burger was great and the fries were served hot and delicious, tasted as though they had been freshly cut. Food was excellent we started with the pretzel and cheese and it was amazing served hot and with the cheese warm and melted. I ordered the Bison and Beef Chili and it was unbelievable, so delicious. The dip was tasty with big chunks of fish - it came with a generous quantity of dip, but not enough chips. I got the pig & fig pizza on the gluten free cauliflower crust (3/5). The crust was a little burnt and dry - I was hoping for a more interesting combination of flavors given the pulled pork, dried figs, goat cheese, and jalapeño. Since we were in the the grass area I placed my food order and drinks inside at the bar with Grigory D. We had the Putt Putt beer and Powder 8 Porter and the wings. Don't fall for this tourist trap. While it seems like on a busy night one can get seated quickly, they do have lots of seating. The speed of food and service is slow however so don't come here if you're already hungry. We were seating in 20 minutes like they said on a busy tourist summer night. But the wait for our food after putting in the order was over an hour. Their menu isn't that big so there's not a lot of things the kitchen has to make. The food was pretty average, nothing special, nothing that couldn't be pumped out at a decent pace. I know pizzas coming from pizza ovens are suppose to have some charring but one pizza came out extremely burnt. When we did manage to find our server, she did get it remade. So that's a good point.
