I noticed this business has very manufactured 5 star reviews. Fake asf to put it bluntly. Onto a real review .. Service: The girls taking our order were awesome! I enjoyed how everyone working was happy to be there. Food: We ordered the 4 meat 4 side situation for $69.99. Selected two orders of ribs, links, and after finding out there weren't any burnt ends we opted for rib tips. Sides were Mac and cheese, greens, potato salad, and baked beans. Yes to the ribs but that's absolutely it. The ribs were AWESOME. Those two stars belong to them. Other meats: We got ONE link with that combo so keep that in mind. It was crisp on the outside but incredibly mushy on the inside. Pass. Rib tips were a hell no. Dry asf. Even with sauce. They weren't even the tips of the rib in my opinion but ehh. Trust me. Skip em. The potato salad was crazy lol red potatoes & mayo ONLY. nahhh I have never even seen potato salad of the sort. Crunchy baked beans. REALLY :/ there was no opportunity to soak the beans completely till tender? Eeeeeyuvkkkk NO. Now we knew we needed to not even taste the greens when they had pickled onions on them lol but we did. Zero flavor. Just greens. No meat essence. No seasoning. Just .. pickled onions. So ummm yeah. Unh unh smh Mac & Cheese. It was Mac & Cheese. Bland. But Mac & Cheese. "My people" don't order anything but ribs lol the rest.. it was not made for us lol Them ribs thooo YES YES YES! Extra tip. mix the sauce
Went around 8:30 pm on a Saturday night. We were the only customers. They were out of about 5 options, including the ribs, brisket, cornbread, forgot what else. Smoked wings were very dry. Hush puppies lacked flavor. Kale Caesar salad was the best of what we got. Burnt ends were second.
My husband mentioned getting some barbecue randomly this week, and I thought, "Why not?" I hadn't had any in a long time! When we left the house with the kids, we actually didn't have a specific BBQ place in mind. After a quick search on Yelp, we decided on SMKD. Neither of us had been there and the ratings looked good! The restaurant itself is clean and inviting. My two-year-old loved the little animal pictures and art, although she had no idea we were going to be eating those animals. Oops. Service was fast and friendly! Food was delicious. We got the 4 meat, 4 sides combo (called "Some of This, Some of That" on the menu) and it was perfect for two adults and two kids (ages 2 and 5). For meats, we ordered the brisket, pastrami, pulled pork, and chicken. For the sides, we got Mac n cheese, baked beans, Brussel sprouts, and hush puppies. We also ordered the cornbread. My favorites were the brisket, pulled pork, and Brussel sprouts (they were balsamic glazed and so good!). I actually wasn't a huge fan of the baked beans even though that's usually one of my favorite sides; it leaned more salty seasoned rather than brown sugary, so that's probably why. You may like it more if that's your preference. I also enjoyed the cornbread with the honey butter! Some quick notes. You can order either at the counter or at the little digital kiosk at the front. Once your food is ready, they'll bring it out to you. The silverware is all at a self-serve station next to the drink machine. A roll of paper towels is at each table for you to use in lieu of napkins. Food plates are these spacious, metal rectangular platters with parchment paper. A few sauce selections and condiments are at each table. To-go boxes are at the bottom of the self-serve station. Enjoy!!
This was my first time at SMKD BBQ, and I can already tell you it will NOT be my last. I was seriously impressed with this spot. A little backstory: years ago, I spent a month in Dallas and had Texas BBQ, and ever since then I've been chasing those flavors. I've tried some of the most well-known BBQ spots in Vegas, and nothing ever quite hit the same. I was honestly starting to lose hope. Then I tried SMKD. The FLAVOR. Everything we ordered was so good. My palate was very happy, and I left genuinely wanting to come back and work my way through the rest of the menu. We ordered two orders of wings, a two-meat plate with brisket and ribs, three sides, two sodas, and two desserts -- and everything was under $100. For the amount of food we got and the quality, I really appreciated how affordable it was. For sides, we had the collard greens, creamy corn, and mac & cheese, and I would order all three again. The wings were another standout for me. We got ours sauced, and I loved the flavor AND the crispness. They weren't soggy at all, which is so important with sauced wings. You can get them dry spice, smoked, or sauced, and I would absolutely order the wings again. The brisket and ribs had me sold from the first bite. The meat was juicy, flavorful, and seasoned so well. And I HAVE to talk about their sauces. They're house-made, absolutely delicious, and complemented the meats perfectly without overpowering them. They had just enough of a little spicy kick too. I was going back and forth between them because I genuinely couldn't decide which one I liked more. Then dessert. The banana cream pie in a cup was a 10/10 for me. The flavor was completely on point -- I just need them to make it in a bigger cup because I could have kept going. The Snickers bar is also a MUST-try. The portions are great for sharing too. We were full halfway through our meal and still had plenty to take home, which I happily ate as leftovers. And just so you understand how much I enjoyed this place: I live in Centennial. SMKD is about a 31-minute drive for me WITHOUT traffic, and I will willingly make that drive again. That alone should tell you something. I also have to mention the service. Everyone was genuinely warm and friendly, and we received great service from beginning to end. You can tell the people here care about what they're doing, and that makes the experience even better. Great service can be hard to come by in Vegas lately, so I really appreciate it when I find it. SMKD is coming up on one year in Henderson, and I genuinely don't think this place gets enough credit yet. Please go try them. I enjoyed it THAT much, and I want more people to know about this spot.
We were excited to try SMKD since they took over the previous bbq spot we used to go to. We were eagerly greeted by the staff. It's still a casual space where you order at the register and grab an available table and they bring your food to you. We ordered the two meat plate with brisket and pulled pork and for sides we selected the baked beans and potato salad. We also ordered a kids meal with a cheeseburger and fries and the French dip sandwich with creamed corn and an additional side of Brussels sprouts with bacon and balsamic. We also ordered the burnt ends which was extremely fatty. Unfortunately, none of the entrees we ordered were good except for the cheeseburger. Everything lacked flavor. The sides were all bland and the sauces were all too sweet. They have good specials like a burger and beer or a sandwich, fries, and drink. The service is top notch here and it pains me to not write a glowing review for this restaurant but based on the food, it just wasn't good bbq. There are too many bbq restaurants in Vegas to compete with. I would come back for a burger.
Best fatty brisket in town! There aren't many places in Vegas that do BBQ well, but Smkd definitely has my approval! We checked this place out when it first opened, and Hubby and I fell in love. The staff is also super nice and attentive, which is always a plus. Today we tried the El Cubano sandwich, and let me tell you--the toast on that panini was PERFECTION! Here's the rundown: Fatty brisket: So good. Easily one of my favorites! El Cubano: That crispy, toasted panini bread though... chef's kiss. Smash burger: Juicy and packed with flavor, although I'm not sure I'd technically call it a smash burger. Ribs & burnt ends: Delicious! Brussels sprouts: INCREDIBLE. Definitely our favorite side! Mac & cheese + baked beans: Great flavor and both hit the spot. Corn: Meh... this one wasn't really for me. Greens: Good! Pickles: Love them! Dr. Brown's Cel-Ray soda: Surprisingly really enjoyed this! Overall, Smkd is definitely one of our go-to BBQ spots in Vegas. The brisket alone is worth the visit!
Had lunch at SMMD BBQ by Chef Alex Reznik. Some of you may recognize him from Top Chef or from when he beat Bobby Flay. This is what we had: Burnt Ends Mojo Chicken - citrus garlic glaze St. Louis Ribs Brisket My Mommy's Kugel Not Boxed Mac n Cheesy Collard Greens Nana's Creamed Corn Ube Marbled Cornbread I Made a Snickers Bar Bro Fried Apple Pie Everything was great, but the standouts for me were the brisket, collard greens, and fried apple pie. This isn't some fancy pretentious restaurant masquerading as a BBQ joint. I think the best way to describe SMKD BBQ is a legit BBQ joint with elevated sides and desserts.
Found this new BBQ spot and it was SO good!! The customer service was amazing, and the restaurant was very clean. We got 1 lb of brisket with side of mac & cheese, Brussels sprouts, and beans. The brisket was super tender and flavorful, but the BRUSSELS SPROUTS my husband could not stop talking about how bomb they were lol. The mac & cheese and beans were really good too. Everything tasted fresh and the portions were solid. Definitely a new BBQ spot for us, we'll 1000000% be back!
The smashburger was solid, patty was thick and juicy, super tender. And a good size, the fries were crispy and fluffy, the seasoning had something special that gave a unique flavor. The bbq sauce was very good! I recommend trying. Service was very friendly and ambience in the restaurant was nice. Loved the sit in areas, and was very clean.
I've been eying SMKD BBQ for a while. My church is near by but I'm always out of there too early for lunch. Had come to this spot once before when it was a different brand. I like SMKD better having now tried it too. I stopped in for lunch today. I was in the area visiting another business a few doors down. I knew this was a good opportunity to try SMKD. Besides, the smell of the smoker out front is too powerful to ignore. So I walked in, looked at the hand written chalk board menu which seemed incomplete, the turned to the self serve kiosk. I found a more complete menu there. I looked through it but ultimately ordered a brisket sandwich with a side of beans. My receipt was printed at the counter where I was also given a drink cup for the drink I orderded. My food would be brought out to me several minutes later. As the kitchen staff were prepping my tray, the lady working the front grabbed a fork for me and said I was going to need it. She wasn't kidding. This sandwich was S T A C K E D The brisket was thick sliced and piled high. Pre-sauced and topped with pickles and pickled onions. All on a sesame seed bun. My eyes were as wide as my mouth would have to be to pythkn this thing down. I made such a mess. My hands and face were sticky and painted with sauce. It was awesome. My only complaint was the level of fat cap left on the meat. Its a double edge sword really. On one side, the fat provides flavor and moisture to the meat. On the other side, I'm not a fan of a gelatinous blob of fat. Just not by thing. So I pulled off the bigger blobs and went about my business. It wasn't so much fat to ruin the sandwich. It was still excellent. I just had to do a little trimming. Now for the beans. Good flavor. Good chunks of meat mixed in. I am going to assume these are fresh beans and not canned as they were still a bit firm. Not mushy. Not hard. Just a bit of an al dente chew to them. A little bit of mother sauce and spicy sauce brought them up that extra notch. Good stuff. Yes, I much prefer SMKD over the last spot that was here. Good service. Good food. And the perfect representation of a saying I had as a kid - When its good its messy. And when its messy its good.
Our first time. Great food. Got the fires, pork candy and the burnt ends. Loved the white mama sauce. Can't wait to come back.

This review is based on a first-time visit on 5/6/26. I arrived for lunch at 1:30 with a party of 6 and asked if I could stake out some space for us at one of their large communal tables. We all placed our orders once everyone arrived, and proceeded to chow down. I was really happy to see that the menu had a section for "Green Stuff" and proceeded to order the Kale Caesar with Brisket (I can't go to a BBQ place without getting their brisket), along with an order of their Marble Cornbread. The Kale Caesar had a lovely dressing - bright and perfect for the kale. The brisket was a teeny bit dry, but had a lovely smoky flavor, which rounded out the salad nicely. The order cornbread was generous... so much so that I had to ask if that was one or two orders. It was buttery and dessert-adjacent without being overly sweet. Yum! Others in my party raved about their food too. The chicken in particular got a nice shout out, and we all left full and happy, AND with leftovers in to-go boxes. Loved SMKD, would definitely eat here again!

I must say the food is top tier and the service was amazing, from the brisket to the cream corn, and the salmon is my all top favorites very delicious. The Pit Master Mr. Wendell and the front staff Mrs. Wendy are amazing very helpful and very friendly definitely a bbq win! read more

Had a fantastic experience at SMKQ in Henderson. I took several of my work colleagues out for lunch, and the staff made the evening really special for us. The food was excellent that it was BBQ that wasn't overly heavy and fatty, compared to other places. It felt very clean and good quality. Service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed. It's always nice to find a place that delivers both great food and genuine hospitality. We'll definitely be back. Having been to SMKD for the ribs a couple of weeks ago, couldn't wait to get back and have some more. It wasn't in the cards for me this night. 5:30 on a Wednesday night and they were sold out of the first run and it would be 30 minutes for the next batch to be ready. We decided to try the pastrami on rye instead ($18). Not your typical pastrami on rye. First, it comes on two large slices of marbled rye (delish!!!). Second, it comes with a portion of slaw under the pastrami - more like a Rachel (or Reuben) minus the cheese. Comes with a pickle on the side. As a side we got the "My Mommy's Kugel" and an extra side of sweet potato hush puppies ($9). The kugel was very different than the kugel my mother used to make. But it was excellent! The restaurant is in a strip mall on Eastern. Parking is easy. And the restaurant is easy to find - follow your nose - the smoker is out front and has the wonderful smoked ribs aroma welcoming you to the front door. We will have to come back to get our fix of the smoked ribs another time. read more
Brisket was fatty, it reminded me a little of pork belly. Staff was friendly but service was a little disorganized. They made up for it by throwing in a banana pudding which was pretty tasty. Indoor and outdoor seating is available at the restaurant read more

This is a order at the counter smokehouse style restaurant with tons of amazing barbecue selections to choose from and a wide selection of sides as well. I thought it was really nice that you were able to get fountain drinks and alcoholic beverages like cocktails or beers with your order you order at the counter of the girl that took my order was super sweet and friendly and knowledgeable a lot about the menu and able to help me choose the perfect dish, I went with the St. Louis style ribs, ( sooooo good!) slaw, and hush puppies, especially liked the sauce that the hush puppies were dipped in sweet tangy vinegar deliciousness! The atmosphere was lively, and they have plenty of outdoor seating as well, I will definitely be back! read more
The smoke flavor!!! Wow!!! I had the brisket, at first I was kinda sad about how much fat was on it, then they brought out the lean option! They are amazing! The mac n cheese was fantastic and I am a major mac and cheese snob. The cold slaw was not my jam, it had an asian flair and a very tiny kick. So it was not bad at all. Just not my thing. They have fountain coke products. Free refills. The location is nice, a little far from summerlin ( my normal stomping ground) but it was worth the drive. The place is clean, cute, nice bathrooms, tvs galore, outdoor seating, booths and tables. Prices are good for bbq and they have plenty of options. They offer millitary discount! Loved my experience! The staff were super attentive and welcoming. The food was delicious. I ordered the burnt ends and the potato salad. The salad was seasoned perfectly, the potatoes were cooked perfectly, not too hard, not too soft. I also ordered the sweet potato hush puppies which were delicious, not too dense, it's served with a side of chile honey sauce, delicious. They have a great location, the ambience is clean, they have TVs I forgot to ask if they show sports or the fights. Their smoker right by the entrance makes the place smells amazing! Definitely come with an appetite, good portions. They also serve alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. I ordered a Revision IPA for my drink choice. Overall would highly recommend it. read more

Great BBQ place on Eastern Ave .past Horizon Ridge...in the Eastern Hills shopping plaza. I was greeted by Gene - and ordered at front desk area. I got the brisket with fries & ranch and their beets & carrots side...that was sooo good! I sat in their patio area, while I was there Heather came by and asked how everything was...staff here is very attentive. Highly recommend this place - and the brisket was excellent too. read more

I was so impressed with this place and not only do they have great food, but their customer service is above and beyond. From the moment I walked in, all the staff was incredible. I loved that they had plant based options and the BBQ cauliflower was beyond great! I recommend this place to everyone for their great food and service! SMKD BBQ is a 10/10 -- no notes. We ordered ribs, salmon, pastrami, chicken, mac & cheese, beans, creamed corn, potato salad, and the ube cornbread, and everything was flavorful and cooked perfectly. The meats were tender and smoky, the mac & cheese was creamy and rich, and the sides were seasoned just right. The ube cornbread really stood out -- soft, slightly sweet, and something unique that sets them apart. Definitely one of the best BBQ meals I've had lately. Wife and I stopped in for Father's Day dinner around 5 PM. The line to place your order was back to the entrance. After waiting in line 10-15 minutes my wife ordered a pastrami on rye sandwich with a side of sweet potato hush puppies and I opted for the 2-meat combo (sausage and pulled pork) with potato salad and "dirty, dirty" beans. The food was worth the wait!! The two waitresses kept everyone happy out front. This isn't a real big place but they put out great BBQ. Both the kitchen crew and waitresses deserve 5-stars!! read more

From outside you can smell the delicious smoke. This place did not disappoint. I found out the owners owns Hayworth as well. Friendly and fast. Got the restaurant week deal, $30 for smoked wings, ribs, corn and banana pudding. This is my new favorite bbq place now. Everything is so good, I'm going to have to try their whole menu. read more
What an experience! Gene and Wendy took great care of my friends and I for my birthday lunch. We tried the ribs, brisket, mac and cheese, collard greens, black eyed peas, corn bread, and potato salad! The ribs were perfectly tender while still having some integrity to them, and the brisket was good! Our favorite sides were the potato salad and collard greens, which were both well seasoned. The corn bread had ube incorporated into it which was a pleasant addition. For dessert we tried the ube banana pudding which is a must try after your meal! Overall, this place and the service were amazing, we will definitely be back sooner than later! read more

Imagine my surprises I'm walking in to this establishment and I'm reading the sides that are available and I see KUGEL. So you know I have to order it. I also ordered brisket and requested at lean and they delivered on that promise. I'm not sure exactly what I was expecting on the KUGEL but it was delicious. Also, they carry Dr. Brown's. The news that SMKD BBQ had opened up in Henderson was very welcomed in my house. Simply put, you had me at BBQ. I love low and slow, smoked meats and deeply appreciate it in all of its regional styles and protein forms. Taking over the old Bell's BBQ space, I had tried SMKD during its soft open and on Veterans Day and had come away impressed with their brisket, pulled pork, and sides. So, it was a no-brainer to take the wife out there for lunch on a Friday to sample some of their other offerings. We ordered a 1/2 rack of dry-rubbed St. Louis Ribs, Smoked Sausage, 1/2 lb. of Brisket (50/50 lean/fatty), Pig Candy, Burnt Ends, Chippy & Dip, Sweet Potato Hushpuppies, and the Red Beets & Carrots. In my modest experience, most non-chain BBQ joints (Famous Dave's, Dickey's, etc. definitely need not apply) are capable of offering up at least one smoked meat of their preferred regional style in a serviceable, if not, quite satisfying manner. That said, most BBQ restaurants, chain or not, don't offer apps and/or sides that are both interesting and delicious, which bring something a bit more special to the experience. SMKD's apps and sides were exceptional. The Pig Candy, a sweet & spicy glazed, thick-cut bacon, was a treat more likely to be found at a high-end Vegas steakhouse! In truth, for me, it shares the medal stand with High Steaks for the Best "Chef'd Up" bacon in town. The Chippy & Dip, a tray of house-made, thick-cut, potato chips accompanied with a creamy smoked onion dip, was sublime. Our crispy chips came out to the table still warm clearly indicating that they were freshly fried but without a hint of oiliness. The delicious dip possessed a subtle, yet still noticeable, smokiness that was in perfect balance with creamy onion. The Sweet Potato Hush Puppies were perfectly fried deliciousness. However, the biggest surprise of the meal was the Red Beets & Carrots, which were perfectly roasted and seasoned, brightly colored, and possessing wonderful natural sweetness and texture. If you aren't a fan of root vegetables, this dish will change minds. As for the headliners of our meal, the dry-rubbed ribs were smoked to perfection as the moist meat pulled easily and completely off of the bone. Our brisket was also perfectly smoked, showing off its smoke ring, moist to the point where the line was blurry between the lean and fatty cuts. It was all very satisfying. The Smoked Sausage was flavorful, possessed a nice spice, and the casing had a nice snap. The biggest surprise was that it was a chicken sausage. Mind blown. While still good, the only "near miss" for me were the Burnt Ends. They were meaty, tender, smoky, and flavorful, but I would've preferred a bit more bark or char on them for textural chew and sweetness. If I had to attempt to classify SMKD's BBQ, I would guess that it falls closest to Memphis-style given their molasses-based sauces and the spice-profile of the dry rub on their pork ribs. Good BBQ doesn't need sauces. That said, SMKD's sauces especially the Blueberry Habanero (?) are not to be missed. SMKD offered a solid lineup of smoked meats comparable in scope to other BBQ joints in the valley. While they did offer brisket, they don't currently serve up beef ribs, which are perhaps my BBQ favorite. However, I appreciated the seeming fact that they weren't trying to be everything for everyone by offering up too many proteins in every regional BBQ style. SMKD really hit the mark with me and has truly raised the bar for BBQ. It's worth the trip out to Henderson if you're a BBQ lover. read more
Incredible find in our local area! First time to give SMKD BBQ a try and the only bad thing is why did I not try this place sooner!!!!! Easy to find and located in a very accessible location with good parking. Indoor and outdoor seating with prompt and very helpful staff. We were even greeted by Gene who I expect is the owner. The food was amazing and I had the brisket, dirty dirty beans and not boxed Mac n Cheesy! Every bite was great and the 1 meat combo with two sides was plenty of food for me. I loved the variety of sauces and even the pickled cucumbers, peppers and onions were fantastic on the plate but not on the menu. I like happy surprises! The variety of the menu and choices of fry seasonings just show how they adapt to their clients. My partner loved her cold slaw as it was very crunchy, satisfying, savory and not a mayo mess! She had the Mojo Chicken and loved every bite with its mojo sauce kicking up the flavor perfectly. I really liked seeing how engaged the owners/management are with all the clients and we even saw a few hugs shared. The service is very fast and our overall experience felt more like visiting friends for a bbq than going out to a restaurant. Comfortable and casual with awesome music too! read more

Tried this place for the first time today and it is now my top bbq spot in vegas. We got the 4 meat, 4 side platter (ribs, burnt ends, sausage, and pork candy + greens, mac n cheese, sweet potato hush puppies, and dirty beans). Everything was amazing!!! My only regret is that I didn't make it in time for the brunch options, cause they looked so promising. I will definitely be back. All of the workers were super kind and went out of their way to make sure we had what we needed. It's close to the house so I'll for sure do my part to keep them in business read more

We came here after playing two hours of pickleball. We were starving and wanted to get some good protein, so I'm really glad we came here. We did the family meal combo which allowed us to try basically everything. The BBQ and sides were top notch. The meat was juicy, tender and perfectly cooked. The sides were also on point. On top of that, they are extremely friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be coming back! read more

Great place for quick delicious BBQ! Not only was the food delicious but the staff was exceptionally attentive. Wendy and Big Wendy were so welcoming and friendly it felt like they were family. I wished I asked our cashiers name as she was just as friendly and amazing! We ordered some of this and some of that - 4 meats, 4 side, 2 drinks (regular or alcoholic). Our choices were ribs, brisket and chopped pork with Mac and cheese, Brussels, potato salad and collard greens. EVERYTHING was delicious. So good I didn't even use any sauce! The sides were amazing. Many bbq places I feel lack in side but not here. Mac and cheese was perfectly cheesy, collard greens were savory and fresh. Checked out Chef Alex Reznik's SMKD (Smoked Meats and Killer Drinks) in Henderson and it was indeed Killer. I had the Sliced Bricket, I recommend going 50/50 lean to fat, Mac n Cheese, and sweet potato hush puppies. The brisket was fall a part, buttery, dissolved in your mouth deliciousness. The smoke level is spot on. It adds depth of flavor and doesn't blow your mouth out with char for the rest of the day like some spots do. Mac n Cheese was velvety goodness. The sweet potato hush puppies had a nice outer crunch and I likes it's accompanying tangy dipping sauce. The service was warm friendly and quick. Manager touches each table which I appreciate. I came for the brisket sandwich but the second I saw tamales I changed my mind. Amazing tamales which I've found are hard to find around here. These were perfect, filled with a lot of filling and tasted super fresh. The sauces were all top notch too. The food is delicious, the customer service excellent and I'm so stoked to have this place near my house. This is a new restaurant and needs some local love! So swing by and give the burnt ends, ribs, or brisket a try... You'll love it! read more
