My husband mentioned getting some barbecue randomly this week, and I thought, "Why not?" I hadn't had any in a long time! When we left the house with the kids, we actually didn't have a specific BBQ place in mind. After a quick search on Yelp, we decided on SMKD. Neither of us had been there and the ratings looked good! The restaurant itself is clean and inviting. My two-year-old loved the little animal pictures and art, although she had no idea we were going to be eating those animals. Oops. Service was fast and friendly! Food was delicious. We got the 4 meat, 4 sides combo (called "Some of This, Some of That" on the menu) and it was perfect for two adults and two kids (ages 2 and 5). For meats, we ordered the brisket, pastrami, pulled pork, and chicken. For the sides, we got Mac n cheese, baked beans, Brussel sprouts, and hush puppies. We also ordered the cornbread. My favorites were the brisket, pulled pork, and Brussel sprouts (they were balsamic glazed and so good!). I actually wasn't a huge fan of the baked beans even though that's usually one of my favorite sides; it leaned more salty seasoned rather than brown sugary, so that's probably why. You may like it more if that's your preference. I also enjoyed the cornbread with the honey butter! Some quick notes. You can order either at the counter or at the little digital kiosk at the front. Once your food is ready, they'll bring it out to you. The silverware is all at a self-serve station next to the drink machine. A roll of paper towels is at each table for you to use in lieu of napkins. Food plates are these spacious, metal rectangular platters with parchment paper. A few sauce selections and condiments are at each table. To-go boxes are at the bottom of the self-serve station. Enjoy!!

This was my first time at SMKD BBQ, and I can already tell you it will NOT be my last. I was seriously impressed with this spot. A little backstory: years ago, I spent a month in Dallas and had Texas BBQ, and ever since then I've been chasing those flavors. I've tried some of the most well-known BBQ spots in Vegas, and nothing ever quite hit the same. I was honestly starting to lose hope. Then I tried SMKD. The FLAVOR. Everything we ordered was so good. My palate was very happy, and I left genuinely wanting to come back and work my way through the rest of the menu. We ordered two orders of wings, a two-meat plate with brisket and ribs, three sides, two sodas, and two desserts -- and everything was under $100. For the amount of food we got and the quality, I really appreciated how affordable it was. For sides, we had the collard greens, creamy corn, and mac & cheese, and I would order all three again. The wings were another standout for me. We got ours sauced, and I loved the flavor AND the crispness. They weren't soggy at all, which is so important with sauced wings. You can get them dry spice, smoked, or sauced, and I would absolutely order the wings again. The brisket and ribs had me sold from the first bite. The meat was juicy, flavorful, and seasoned so well. And I HAVE to talk about their sauces. They're house-made, absolutely delicious, and complemented the meats perfectly without overpowering them. They had just enough of a little spicy kick too. I was going back and forth between them because I genuinely couldn't decide which one I liked more. Then dessert. The banana cream pie in a cup was a 10/10 for me. The flavor was completely on point -- I just need them to make it in a bigger cup because I could have kept going. The Snickers bar is also a MUST-try. The portions are great for sharing too. We were full halfway through our meal and still had plenty to take home, which I happily ate as leftovers. And just so you understand how much I enjoyed this place: I live in Centennial. SMKD is about a 31-minute drive for me WITHOUT traffic, and I will willingly make that drive again. That alone should tell you something. I also have to mention the service. Everyone was genuinely warm and friendly, and we received great service from beginning to end. You can tell the people here care about what they're doing, and that makes the experience even better. Great service can be hard to come by in Vegas lately, so I really appreciate it when I find it. SMKD is coming up on one year in Henderson, and I genuinely don't think this place gets enough credit yet. Please go try them. I enjoyed it THAT much, and I want more people to know about this spot.

We were excited to try SMKD since they took over the previous bbq spot we used to go to. We were eagerly greeted by the staff. It's still a casual space where you order at the register and grab an available table and they bring your food to you. We ordered the two meat plate with brisket and pulled pork and for sides we selected the baked beans and potato salad. We also ordered a kids meal with a cheeseburger and fries and the French dip sandwich with creamed corn and an additional side of Brussels sprouts with bacon and balsamic. We also ordered the burnt ends which was extremely fatty. Unfortunately, none of the entrees we ordered were good except for the cheeseburger. Everything lacked flavor. The sides were all bland and the sauces were all too sweet. They have good specials like a burger and beer or a sandwich, fries, and drink. The service is top notch here and it pains me to not write a glowing review for this restaurant but based on the food, it just wasn't good bbq. There are too many bbq restaurants in Vegas to compete with. I would come back for a burger.

Best fatty brisket in town! There aren't many places in Vegas that do BBQ well, but Smkd definitely has my approval! We checked this place out when it first opened, and Hubby and I fell in love. The staff is also super nice and attentive, which is always a plus. Today we tried the El Cubano sandwich, and let me tell you--the toast on that panini was PERFECTION! Here's the rundown: Fatty brisket: So good. Easily one of my favorites! El Cubano: That crispy, toasted panini bread though... chef's kiss. Smash burger: Juicy and packed with flavor, although I'm not sure I'd technically call it a smash burger. Ribs & burnt ends: Delicious! Brussels sprouts: INCREDIBLE. Definitely our favorite side! Mac & cheese + baked beans: Great flavor and both hit the spot. Corn: Meh... this one wasn't really for me. Greens: Good! Pickles: Love them! Dr. Brown's Cel-Ray soda: Surprisingly really enjoyed this! Overall, Smkd is definitely one of our go-to BBQ spots in Vegas. The brisket alone is worth the visit!

The smashburger was solid, patty was thick and juicy, super tender. And a good size, the fries were crispy and fluffy, the seasoning had something special that gave a unique flavor. The bbq sauce was very good! I recommend trying. Service was very friendly and ambience in the restaurant was nice. Loved the sit in areas, and was very clean.

I noticed this business has very manufactured 5 star reviews. Fake asf to put it bluntly. Onto a real review .. Service: The girls taking our order were awesome! I enjoyed how everyone working was happy to be there. Food: We ordered the 4 meat 4 side situation for $69.99. Selected two orders of ribs, links, and after finding out there weren't any burnt ends we opted for rib tips. Sides were Mac and cheese, greens, potato salad, and baked beans. Yes to the ribs but that's absolutely it. The ribs were AWESOME. Those two stars belong to them. Other meats: We got ONE link with that combo so keep that in mind. It was crisp on the outside but incredibly mushy on the inside. Pass. Rib tips were a hell no. Dry asf. Even with sauce. They weren't even the tips of the rib in my opinion but ehh. Trust me. Skip em. The potato salad was crazy lol red potatoes & mayo ONLY. nahhh I have never even seen potato salad of the sort. Crunchy baked beans. REALLY :/ there was no opportunity to soak the beans completely till tender? Eeeeeyuvkkkk NO. Now we knew we needed to not even taste the greens when they had pickled onions on them lol but we did. Zero flavor. Just greens. No meat essence. No seasoning. Just .. pickled onions. So ummm yeah. Unh unh smh Mac & Cheese. It was Mac & Cheese. Bland. But Mac & Cheese. "My people" don't order anything but ribs lol the rest.. it was not made for us lol Them ribs thooo YES YES YES! Extra tip. mix the sauce

Had lunch at SMMD BBQ by Chef Alex Reznik. Some of you may recognize him from Top Chef or from when he beat Bobby Flay. This is what we had: Burnt Ends Mojo Chicken - citrus garlic glaze St. Louis Ribs Brisket My Mommy's Kugel Not Boxed Mac n Cheesy Collard Greens Nana's Creamed Corn Ube Marbled Cornbread I Made a Snickers Bar Bro Fried Apple Pie Everything was great, but the standouts for me were the brisket, collard greens, and fried apple pie. This isn't some fancy pretentious restaurant masquerading as a BBQ joint. I think the best way to describe SMKD BBQ is a legit BBQ joint with elevated sides and desserts.

Brisket sandwich and dirty beans

I've been eying SMKD BBQ for a while. My church is near by but I'm always out of there too early for lunch. Had come to this spot once before when it was a different brand. I like SMKD better having now tried it too. I stopped in for lunch today. I was in the area visiting another business a few doors down. I knew this was a good opportunity to try SMKD. Besides, the smell of the smoker out front is too powerful to ignore. So I walked in, looked at the hand written chalk board menu which seemed incomplete, the turned to the self serve kiosk. I found a more complete menu there. I looked through it but ultimately ordered a brisket sandwich with a side of beans. My receipt was printed at the counter where I was also given a drink cup for the drink I orderded. My food would be brought out to me several minutes later. As the kitchen staff were prepping my tray, the lady working the front grabbed a fork for me and said I was going to need it. She wasn't kidding. This sandwich was S T A C K E D The brisket was thick sliced and piled high. Pre-sauced and topped with pickles and pickled onions. All on a sesame seed bun. My eyes were as wide as my mouth would have to be to pythkn this thing down. I made such a mess. My hands and face were sticky and painted with sauce. It was awesome. My only complaint was the level of fat cap left on the meat. Its a double edge sword really. On one side, the fat provides flavor and moisture to the meat. On the other side, I'm not a fan of a gelatinous blob of fat. Just not by thing. So I pulled off the bigger blobs and went about my business. It wasn't so much fat to ruin the sandwich. It was still excellent. I just had to do a little trimming. Now for the beans. Good flavor. Good chunks of meat mixed in. I am going to assume these are fresh beans and not canned as they were still a bit firm. Not mushy. Not hard. Just a bit of an al dente chew to them. A little bit of mother sauce and spicy sauce brought them up that extra notch. Good stuff. Yes, I much prefer SMKD over the last spot that was here. Good service. Good food. And the perfect representation of a saying I had as a kid - When its good its messy. And when its messy its good.

Found this new BBQ spot and it was SO good!! The customer service was amazing, and the restaurant was very clean. We got 1 lb of brisket with side of mac & cheese, Brussels sprouts, and beans. The brisket was super tender and flavorful, but the BRUSSELS SPROUTS my husband could not stop talking about how bomb they were lol. The mac & cheese and beans were really good too. Everything tasted fresh and the portions were solid. Definitely a new BBQ spot for us, we'll 1000000% be back!

Our first time. Great food. Got the fires, pork candy and the burnt ends. Loved the white mama sauce. Can't wait to come back.

This review is based on a first-time visit on 5/6/26. I arrived for lunch at 1:30 with a party of 6 and asked if I could stake out some space for us at one of their large communal tables. We all placed our orders once everyone arrived, and proceeded to chow down. I was really happy to see that the menu had a section for "Green Stuff" and proceeded to order the Kale Caesar with Brisket (I can't go to a BBQ place without getting their brisket), along with an order of their Marble Cornbread. The Kale Caesar had a lovely dressing - bright and perfect for the kale. The brisket was a teeny bit dry, but had a lovely smoky flavor, which rounded out the salad nicely. The order cornbread was generous... so much so that I had to ask if that was one or two orders. It was buttery and dessert-adjacent without being overly sweet. Yum! Others in my party raved about their food too. The chicken in particular got a nice shout out, and we all left full and happy, AND with leftovers in to-go boxes. Loved SMKD, would definitely eat here again!

This joint is hands down the best barbecue we've had in the henderson area, and definitely could be included in a conversation for best in vegas. Our expectations were absolutely shattered. We had tried to come to this place once before for a dessert we saw online, however they were sold out. We made a mental note to visit again if we were in the area, and I am sure glad we did. The experience started off great, when walking in we were greeted by a very friendly woman and the pit master himself who made some conversation and gave us some of his recommendations as first timers. I ordered the 2 meat 2 side combo, brisket and the pig candy with mac n cheese and creamed corn. She ordered the 1/4 chicken and potato salad. Immediately upon receiving the food I was impressed and knew we were in for a good meal. The brisket was tender and delicious, the chicken was cooked to a smoky and moist perfection, but for me the pig candy was the star of the show, I can confidently say no barbecue place we've been to is doing anything like that, do yourself a favor and order it. The sides were equally excellent, I find a-lot of times bbq places excel on one side, either the meat or the sides, this place makes an exception and cracked the code on both. The mac n cheese was excellent, the creamed corn was exactly what I wanted, and if you like pickles or dill flavor 100% order the potato salad. One aspect I especially think this place shines in, is that they aren't afraid to make the food how they think it should be done, every one of the meats had a little extra flavor either from an additional seasoning, or from a sauce. Most places stick to the traditional way things are made and that is fine but its very safe, when you add something to classic barbecued meats like these that shows confidence in your skill and the product you put out as a chef and as a business. I wish more places would throw their own flair on stuff and make it exciting and exclusive to themselves like this place does. The restaurant itself was very clean, comfortable, well kept and very organized, everything is right where you want and expect it to be. I wanted to make a section of this review just for the woman who came around to the tables, she was one of the most friendly restaurant staff members we've ever come across. Whatever you are paying her, pay her more because she deserves it. This place isn't just a if you are in the area, this place is worth a trip from anywhere in the vegas valley. Well done smkd, well done.

Definitely warm and inviting, lots of tables to sit at. I was greeted warmly when I came in. Told her it was my first time and she was very excited. I was there and gave me the complete rundown of the place as well as her favorites on the menu. I opted for the tri-tip eggs Benedict.. which comes on their signature. Biscuits. Started things off with a cup of coffee. I don't know what brand they use but it was nice and strong and very delicious. The Benedict itself was truly a work of art. The hash browns were cooked to perfection, and whatever Hollandaise sauce they put on that thing is wonderful. I definitely should have asked for extra. The meat was Smoky and perfectly cooked, and made for a very delightful meal. Added bonus, they have a fully stocked bourbon bar that looked very appetizing. It was only 8:30 in the morning so I really didn't feel right about doing an old fashioned, but I will definitely be coming back here on a Friday night for their rib special and I'll have an old fashioned bin and report back. Bottom line? Everything here is wonderful. I have no complaints and it was a absolutely perfect for star meal. If you are anywhere in the area I say go check it out.

5/5 - Fox Smokehouse BBQ - Boulder City, Nevada…read more A MUST-STOP if you're anywhere near Boulder City! Located in historic downtown Boulder City, Fox Smokehouse BBQ is one of those places that catches you completely off guard--in the BEST possible way! From the outside, nothing flashy. Just another restaurant along the street. But then you walk through these giant, heavy doors, look around, and immediately think, "WHAT THE HELL?!" This place is AWESOME! We were quickly greeted by a very friendly hostess who made us feel welcome right away. To the left is a great bar area with high-top tables and plenty of TVs to catch the games. But what REALLY caught my eye was the MASSIVE wall covered with military and first responder patches and challenge coins. As soon as I saw that, I said, "OKAY, NOW THIS IS MY KIND OF PLACE!" In fact, I ran back outside to grab one of my own fire department patches to add to the collection! We were seated on the other side of the restaurant and once again greeted by an amazing waitress. We started with water, a soda, and an order of Cowboy Corn Bites. Let me tell you, those little things PACK SOME FLAVOR! They've got a little kick to them, too, and were an awesome way to start lunch. Now for the main event... My wife ordered the Smoked Turkey Sandwich, which she described as "TO DIE FOR!" I went with something called the "Oklahoma Wedding Cake." Let me tell you, this thing was NO JOKE! A HUGE baked potato split open and loaded with butter, chopped smoked brisket, green onions, and a cheese blend. ABSOLUTELY OUT OF THIS WORLD! And it wasn't just our food. Looking around at what everyone else was eating, EVERYTHING looked incredible and smelled even better! I honestly wanted to start asking people what they ordered because every plate coming out of that kitchen looked amazing. Between the atmosphere, the friendly staff, the incredible food, and the obvious respect shown for our military and first responders, Fox Smokehouse BBQ absolutely knocked it out of the park! The funniest part? My wife and I weren't even out the door before we were already saying, "NEXT TIME WE COME BACK, WE HAVE TO TRY..." And THAT, to me, is the sign of a GREAT restaurant! Fox Smokehouse BBQ, you earned two new fans from New York! FIVE STARS - HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Usually it's just to fly out of Las Vegas for a work trip. This time though, I was in area for the US Post office. Looking for nearby places to eat, I saw that Smoke & Fire was only 10 minutes away! My husband and I stopped by for dinner around 3:30 P.M on a Friday at Smoke & Fire. The restaurant is located near South Pecos Road and East Russell Road. There was plenty of parking spots available. As I walked inside the restaurant, a team member had greeted us and let us know that it was open seating. There were only a few other customers inside the restaurant at the time we had dinner. There was plenty of tables inside and outside the restaurant though! TVs were situated throughout the restaurant. There was a variety of sports games playing. When we sat at our table, the team member brought over menus and asked if we'd like anything to drink while we looked through the menu. She also went through any dietary restrictions and some of their highlights at the restaurant, specifically, Smoke & Fire is known for their blueberry chicken sandwich. There are other options on their menu though, like BBQ items! Meat platters: Pulled Chicken, Pulled Pork, Brisket, Smoked Ribs, Hot Links, smoked Chicken Quarters. Sandwiches: Chicken Sandwiches, Brisket Sandwich, Donut Smashed Burger (Seasonal), Sliders Chicken and Waffles, Street Style Tacos, Chicken Tenders and more! After looking through the menu, we ultimately decided on the following 3 Meat Platter: Pulled Chicken, Pulled Pork, and Brisket with Mac N Cheese/Sweet Potato Tots The World Famous Blueberry Chicken Sandwich: Pepper Jack Cheese, Housemade Blueberry Jam, blueberry aioli, and Jalapeno. The service was super quick. I don't think we waited longer than 10 minutes for our meal. It was nice that our meal was served in to go containers as well! The highlight of the meal was the blueberry chicken sandwich. The chicken was juicy and tender. The blueberry aioli and the jam was scrumptious. This was a first time having a sandwich like this before! I would come back to Smoke & Fire just to get the sandwich. The BBQ pulled pork, pulled chicken and brisket was good. I enjoyed the mac n cheese and the sweet potato tots though! I don't normally see sweet potato tots so I just had to try it out! They were super crispy and packed with flavor. The food was yummy here and the service was fantastic! If I'm in the area again, I would stop by Smoke & Fire to have another meal. I think next time though, I am going to have to try out their pulled pork burger!
