Some of my nails were so well done and I appreciated them taking me in last minute to fix 3 broken nails, but I thought they were going to change the paint on the other nails to match the newer color. It was the weirdest experience because I had asked them to clarify and even explained this to them when I was finished. If they weren't able to match all the nails, I would have been ok just getting the pedicure. Like how are you going to send a girl with unmatched nails?

This was my second visit to We Nail. I had a good experience the first time, but unfortunately,…read morethis visit felt a bit rushed. There are definitely positives. The staff is very friendly, the space is clean and spacious, and it's usually easy to get an appointment. It's very much a come-in-and-get-out type of place, which can be convenient, but I do think that comes at the expense of the overall experience. Both my manicure and pedicure felt rushed, and throughout the service I found myself having to point out things that I normally wouldn't expect to manage myself cuticles that still needed cleaning, polish that needed to be corrected, or a nail that had been filed unevenly. I don't mind speaking up, but when you're paying upwards of $80 for a basic manicure and pedicure, I don't think you should have to continuously check the work as it's being done. I don't necessarily need a nail appointment to feel like a spa day, but I do want it to feel intentional and thorough.

Against my better judgement I decided to try the Fort Greene location after an amazing experience at the Brooklyn Heights location. The service was incomparable - Court Street gets a 5/5 whereas I'd give S Oxford a 2. To summarize this, I felt rushed and the results showed it. My nails chipped the very next day, photo included. I expressed my discontent in the salon and they did nothing to try to remedy it, so I won't be back.

The women who own…read moreand staff this spot are all so solid: super nice, courteous and professional, and my nails are always done really well no matter who does them. They consistently do a great and efficient job. It's also quite chill - I don't feel like I'm constantly being upsold a back massage or more expensive pedicure or whatever. Personally I like that they don't really do acrylics, i.e., it doesn't smell really chemically in the shop. COVID stuff: the staff is all consistently masked (both nose and mouth), and fellow customers also seem quite considerate / consistently masked. Seems like they get a bunch of fresh air in every time people go in/out given the way the front door is designed.

The structure gel took a long time so I thought it was going to be perfect and last long. However the very next day (10/3) I got a big chip. Went back to fix it (10/4) and then the next day (10/5) I see that many of my fingers have small chips that are most likely going to turn into big ones. To top it all off my finger is swollen, red, warm and tender!!! The tenderness began a day after on 10/3, as if from an infection. But by 10/5 my finger was swollen as if it was going to burst and 10/6 the cuticle was filled with puss. They did clip my cuticles alottttt. Like first one lady prepped my nails and clipped the cuticles but then the lady who actually applied the gel did it again before she started. So I'm pretty sure it's from that. I wanted to love this place but I'll never be back. I guess that's what I get for trying an out a spot and not sticking with my old faithful and to think I paid $85 for this service plus a tip. Update: I went back today 10/6 and was refunded. They were apologetic but I still won't be back.
