I'm reviewing Park Slope Nails specifically for their Dazzle Dry manicures, which cost less than at other salons in the city. I particularly appreciate the calm, second-floor atmosphere of this nail salon, which has neighborhood charm and isn't just a generically decorated franchise. I've always been able to grab a walk-in appointment. As well, I recently smudged my manicure after leaving, and an employee let me in after hours and helped me fix it. Love this spot for everything EXCEPT dip powder nails. The lady who does dip is only in a few days a week, and isn't as efficient or technical as those at other locations who do them more days. But I do really like the multiple gel and regular manicures and pedicures I've gotten here! read more

This is my favorite neighborhood spot! The women there are so so nice and accommodating. I've messed up a few times with scheduling and they've been kind and flexible. One time they stayed late to fix my nails which I felt bad about, tipped them well but the fact that they didn't say anything about it or grumble speaks volumes about their service and hospitality. The spot is very homey compared to some of the new sterile looking all-white furniture salons that have opened up in Park Slope. Park Slope Nails also has a cash rewards program which I've been using for a while -- besides their excellent services, it's also what keeps me coming back. I've gotten everything here -- massages, Gel X nails, SNS powder nails with and without extensions, regular gel nails, regular manicure and pedicures. Fair prices and great service. Also, came with my boyfriend who had never been to a nail salon and they were super nice with him and answered all his questions and he loved it! read more

This place is near my job i was on google/ yelp looking for a nail spot for a very much needed pedicure. I called and asked if it was by appointment or walk in she said both made appt for 3:30 was greeted and sitter within less than 10 minutes. I got a spa pedicure i forgot the name lol i just know it cost $55 i know expensive, but you get callous remover for FREE!!! By far this is the BEST pedicure i ever had in my life . Especially in the summer i get these really nasty cracked heels and every-time i get a pedicure and hey put lotion by the time the nail dries my feet feel dry already. This spa pedicure she took out dead skin from my knees to my feet 3 days later my legs and feet feel super smooth. I've recently come in twice with a friend who is a regular, and will go back again. The shop is clean, well organized, and friendly. Their pedicure chairs have massage functions, which is great! After being let down numerous times, I became an avid at home nail tech. I'm very picky when it comes to my nails but decided to treat myself to a pedi after a hard day and decided to keep my standards relatively low...well boy did Park Slope Nails meet my low expectation. Total waste of $47. I got my pedicure at 2pm yesterday and I woke up @ 6am today chipped like I've never seen. The polish from one nail is completely gone. She clearly did not prep my nail beds properly. When I do my own nails I can leave that polish on for weeks without a chip. I purposely chose a better know brand thinking that would help but nope. One of my nails is slanted horribly and another has an odd shaped chip on one side. Never again. read more

I've gotten my nails done here twice and I shouldn't have come back after the first. But it's close to work so I decided to give them a second chance. I paid $17 in total for a useless manicure. It's too much for the basic service and my nails ALL chipped in 2 days with one nail basically coming off completely on day 1. These pictures were taken two days after my manicure. Usually glitter polish lasts me forever and quite a pain to take off. I won't have to worry about removal this time... I don't even know why this happened. Old polish? Improper prepping? I've never had a professional manicure last so little. The first time I came for a manicure it lasted 2 days before one nail chipped but the rest lasted 4. And I remember I got a bunch of little bubbles all over my nails when they dried and I pointed them out, the owner said "that just happens". Yeah no it's not supposed to. The woman who did my pedicure did not clip my toenails to an even length. She offered to take off the polish and paint them again because the paint was thick and uneven. The second attempt was slightly better but there are brush hairs in my dried polish. They were unable to properly soak off my gel polish (OPI), attempted to electric file it off (but the woman doing the filing was clearly unfamiliar with and uncomfortable using the device). She wound up filing the remaining gel polish off with a hard nail file. My normally strong nails are now flimsy. They tried to convince me to stay to get my nails done but I was up front and stated that the poor pedicure along with the damage to my fingernails made me uncomfortable. Even after seeing the damage they did to my nails, they still charged me for the soak off! They seem nice but do not know how to do nails. Go at your own risk. read more

I was gifted a certificate for a manicure by some lovely people a month or so back, I finally came on Thursday to redeem it and I am happy to say that this place was awesome! The ladies here were so attentive and skilled. My manicure was done neatly and rapidly. The decor of the salon is wonderful and it is kept sanitary. This is my go-to spot for gel manicures. For $35, it's a great deal for Park Slope (especially on 7th avenue). They take appointments but are also walk-in friendly and do very well with service. The owners greet you on the way in and are always very nice. Throughout the manicure, they not only massage your hands with lotion at the end, but also give you a brief back/shoulder massage while waiting for your nails to dry. My gel manicures from here easily last 2 weeks, sometimes more and the nail technicians are usually very meticulous and focused when doing their work. A quick tip though--tips are given to the nail technicians with cash so make sure you bring enough cash to tip. I would recommend this nail salon for manicures, I haven't ever received waxed services, so not sure how they are on that front. read more

A nice saloon, on the second floor of a corner building. The place is really spacious, and it looks pretty clean, but the floor had some visible dust and dirt today. They protect the inside of the feet washing tub with a plastic cover, which make the pedicure really sanitized, but I asked to use my shoes to finish my pedicure, as their flip flop options are not the "one time" usable one. It looks like the reuse them. I had two different girls doing my pedicure and gel manicure and they were both really careful. I like their attention to make the service good, and comfortable. The lady at the cashier is pretty distracted, watching to movies with headphones --which looked kind of funny and kind of inappropriate. read more

I got an acrylic fill with a gel polish. I would never recommend anyone come here for this service. They had no power tools and used a hand file for everything. The whole process took 2 hours, which is absolutely absurd. The shape of my nails are supposed to be coffin and they're rounded, sloppy, and the lengths don't match. For $58 I'm way less then impressed. They were extremely friendly and clean and for that reason I'm giving them 3 stars but as a whole I'm pissed and will never come back. read more

Pedicures are a special treat for me, so I don't go to just any random place. This is the best nail salon in the Slope if not in all of Brooklyn. I even went to some super fancy place in Manhattan a couple of months ago that didn't compare to my favorite nail spot in park slope. If you have time, the special pedicure that includes a 10-minute massage is totally worth it. Nyima gave a phenomenal foot and calf massage, and her pedicure skills are on point! I know it can be a tiring and thankless job, so I just wanted to give her a shout-out! The space itself is unique because it sits on a second-floor, corner spot with walls of windows overlooking 7th Ave and Union. The ventilation is good because I'm normally sensitive to smells. I never have a problem here. There are at least 4 other places to choose from within a few blocks, but I highly recommend this one! read more

I passed up several nail salons on 7 th ave before deciding to try this one. First reaction was it was a bit more pricey than shops in LI. However as my manicure went into week 3 1/2 holding up so well I decided it was worth the price. There is a peaceful relaxing atmosphere and the staff is so welcoming and pleasant. I truly don't mind paying a bit more for top notch service and a great relaxing atmosphere. Feels more like a spa than a nail salon. read more

Disclaimer - I've never gotten my nails done here. This review is based only on a waxing. $20.50 for a horrible lip wax. The wax they used was reminiscent of that cheap stuff you buy at the drug store with the popsicle sticks. It HURT! It always hurts a bit, but better quality wax is less painful. After she finished I took a look in the mirror and saw that she got maybe 75%. I can't believe she considered that done. I made a comment about it, but ultimately decided I didn't want anymore of the cheap wax. And then I was charged $20.50. That's insanely overpriced. Either they lower their prices considering the cheap wax, or they buy better quality wax. The saving graces: the staff seemed nice, including the lady that did my wax. The salon is on the 2nd floor with tons of windows, and the ventilation is good. I'd consider coming back to get my nails done and give them another shot, but will certainly steer clear of any future waxes. read more

I'm really sorry to say because the staff was very sweet that this is NOT a good place to get dip nails done. I saw it had good reviews and I really don't know why. I've been getting my nails done for 6+ years and have never had my nails just straight up come up and fall clean off. THESE ARE POWDER NAILS KEEP IN MIND. it's been less than two weeks and two nails have come off and the rest are coming up. Keep in mind these are all my real nails so that makes it even worse. I haven't hit them on anything. I was lying down and I looked down to see my pink nail had come clean off with the real nail still in tact ... must be cheap products. read more

I switched to this location after my old favorite across the street started letting me down. They have a wide array of colors and they all seem fairly new and in good shape. I've gone three times now and each time my manicures have been done well and lasted at least 5 days. I can't give 5 stars because most nail salons will give you a short shoulder massage at the dryer but they do not offer it. The also offer no weekly special pricing or packaging. read more

Only giving two stars because everyone was friendly and very professional. I got my nails done last saturday.. i always get very long nails because that is my preference.. They never break because i am very careful. I decided to give this place a try and if we are being honest , if you love long nails this isnt the place for you. within three days one of my nails cracked down the middle. okay. i work across the street no big deal i went and got it fixed and they were kind enough to fix it without charging me. within 6 days two more nails broke. I am on vacation and have to walk around with not one...but TWO broken nails. This is a result of faulty work, my friends on this trip have longer nails than mine that are done properly and sturdy. If you like long nails DO NOT COME HERE. They only know how to do short nails and you will waste your time and money. not to mention that its very expensive. read more

I had really high expectations for this place and came for a manicure. It was fine, but I expected a lot more and probably wouldn't come back. My nails didn't look much better than if I had done them myself and there were some areas on the sides of my nails that had paint on them.
