Disclaimer, ph7 has two locations - one on Court street that I'd highly recommend and another on S Oxford that I would never return to. Against my better judgement I decided to try the Fort Greene location after an amazing experience at the Brooklyn Heights location. The service was incomparable - Court Street gets a 5/5 whereas I'd give S Oxford a 2. To summarize this, I felt rushed and the results showed it. My nails chipped the very next day, photo included. I expressed my discontent in the salon and they did nothing to try to remedy it, so I won't be back. read more

Definitely my favorite ph7 location. I've been going on and off since I first lived in fort Greene in 2021. The vibe is great, the pedicures are outstanding, and the space is open and bright. I got a gel pedicure and a basic manicure with dazzle dry and it looks amazing! I recently visited one of the other ph7 locations recently and I was reminded why fort Greene continues to see me. 10/10 recommend read more

This is my go to spot for natural pedicures. The vibe is relaxing, clean and spacious. If you come on an off day (not Fridays or weekends), it's very relaxing and quiet. Service is consistent. Amazing massages that definitely bring you into a state of peace. They have a good system in the salon. I trust their hygiene practices, which is a huge relief when most nail salons are just not up to snuff. Highly recommend! read more

so peaceful! no chemical smell when you walk in. one of my favorite places to get a mani

I very much suffer from decision paralysis so it took me two weeks and reading tons of reviews before I picked a spot to get a mani / pedi for my friend's wedding this weekend. Ph7 was one of many spots recommended through various outlets, so I hoped the bad reviews were wrong (or I'd have a better experience than they did) and made a res. The prices seemed great, overall the reviews were great, and it's not too far from where I live. I'm so happy I picked this spot!! $25 basic mani and $35 basic pedi (I think?!) something like that. But the mani / pedi does not feel basic at all. They do a very reasonable foot scrub as well as a massage - calf and foot - and lotion application. The thought crossed my mind during the service that they maybe were doing an upgraded pedicure by mistake, but I was having such a nice time I was willing to pay the extra. But no, this is just the basic pedicure. I had the same experience with the manicure. A really nice / reasonably long hand massage and then a shoulder massage at the end. I'm a sucker for extras so the amazing massages were huge for me. In general though I had a fantastic experience and I thought Joy did such a lovely job on my nails. Her job was definitely harder bc I have baby tiny toe nails and I'd tried out a few of the polishes on my fingers, making them a little messy to start. I also never really get mani / pedis -- last time was a year ago for my wedding!! -- so my cuticles we're not in the best shape. Oh, they also give you tea or water at the start! And have pillows for your back while you're sitting. It was just so relaxing and I had such a great time / felt so cared for. I will absolutely be back and I'll ask for Joy again every time. If you're looking for a place to get a manicure, pedicure, or even a massage I definitely recommend Ph7! read more

The best place for nails! A little pricey but definitely worth it. Excellent service, clean and a lot of variety

My sister is a beauty and spa enthusiast. She told me about this place because she read about their organic gel that supposed to be healthier for your nails. She came all the way from Maryland just to try this spot out with me before we took a family trip to the Caribbean. She made the appointment one week before we arrived at our scheduled time and then changed the time on March 30th. They sent a text to confirm the new time a day before (April 1) and we did just that. The appointment was 5pm today, April 2nd. When we showed up ON TIME, the receptionist told us that we did not have an appointment but they had availability in the next hour fifteen minutes. We have dinner plans with family we haven't seen since pre-Covid tonight and we are flying out tomorrow so this was deeply inconvenient. My sister showed her the confirmation text and it didn't matter. To make things even more annoying -- they make you give your card information just in case you're a no show. There was no resolution, remorse, or anything. We left because no solutions were presented outside of waiting for an hour. Again, my sister drove 4.5 hours from Maryland with her mind set on this place and we didn't plan on a back up. No where else has availability since it's late on a Saturday. Very frustrating experience. EDIT: The owner reached out and let me know that when we rescheduled we called the Williamsburg location. That's a fair point, so now my critique is of the system the company uses. What I find odd is that they acknowledged the then current appointment at Fort greene but didn't note that they were the Williamsburg location or that the new appointment was for that location. That part isn't adding up for me, but ‍. read more

I've been to this place maybe 4 times and was going to make it my regular place. Not anymore. Just came from a pedicure today and had the worst experience. They were overbooked and busy, which I get. But you don't make someone with an appointment wait 15 minutes! It was a weekday, and I had work to do. Made time for a pedicure, but delaying my service affects my other commitments. That's fine, things happen that we don't have control over. But no apology, nothing from anyone. The woman who did my pedicure didn't even ask if I liked it. She put a fan and left. She didn't come to take the temporary flip-flops or toe separator. Just left me. I had to take it myself, wear my flip flops, and get down from the high stool by myself. There was no one by the billing counter either for me to pay. Kinda felt like they were also a bit racist focusing only on the white customers, and this is Brooklyn! Never experienced such a service. I'm not sure if I want to continue being a member. read more

I had really high hopes for the salon after reading reviews online. I had a very nice salon experience my nail tech was thorough and conversational. I got apres extensions and gel polish for a wedding. I went to last weekend on June 29. These photos are from today two of the nails have already fallen off one week later. read more

I went in for a gel manicure and pedicure yesterday and left visibly upset due to the poor execution of what I asked for which was a simple square nail. The nail tech completely filed off the sides of my thumb nails and the gel looks very chunky like I got a bad dip powder service. The receptionist could tell that I was not happy about the service but I did not have time to stay to fix anything (which wouldn't have been able to be fixed because you cant put back my nail that she filed off) so I left. When I contacted management I was hit with "our services are non refundable and you can come back this weekend." I made it very clear that I would not be returning because once again you can not fix the problem the nail tech created and I the fact that I spent nearly $100 and received this poor of a service is just unacceptable. She continued to tell me that the service in non refundable and she spoke with the nail tech who said she didn't file too much off because my nails were already uneven when I came but she will "check the security cameras to see her job." A security camera WILL NOT show you up close details of what my nails looked like before she filed them all off and my nails were very long and VERY SQUARE before she touched them. Not to mention she told me my toes were completely dried and when I took my shoes off the were completely smeared. Im beyond angry and extremely disappointed with my experience at p H 7. The customer service is baffling. When someone is spending this amount of money for a service you would expect for the customer service to be top tier and this is far from the case. read more

I have yet to have a bad experience at ph7. I started going to the Fort Greene location when I lived in Park Slope and could walk there but I have continued to take the train over after moving to the Kensington/Midwood area. I've also been to the Williamsburg location and the Carroll Gardens location once or twice each when I've been in a pinch and Fort Greene didn't have openings. I'm more of a gel manicure girl -- I have never been into acrylics, so I can't speak on the quality of the acrylics and nail art, but the gel is always done really well and the pedicures are soooo good and calming (and they always give me a free herbal tea every time). I've never had to wait for my appointments. In fact, I'm usually a few minutes early and they take me right away. I started going here for two reasons -- the price and the natural, non-toxic products. $55 for a gel mani is rare in NYC, and with the cleanliness of the shops, great service from the techs and managers, safe products and quality of the manis and pedis, I will be coming back for as long as I will be living here. read more

Giving four stars because for the longest time it was five stars but in reality right now it's a 2. I just want management to see this and maybe make some changes because I've loved coming here for 7 years and don't want to find a new place :( I think maybe they've had some turnover lately and haven't kept up with training new staff. The last few mani/pedis I've had haven't been the best but today kind of took the cake. I just had one of the roughest manicure pedicures more akin to going to ten colors a few blocks away and paying a quarter of the price. There's paint all around my finger nails and the nail tech just wanted to cut off all skin with paint leaving my fingers in pain and looking rougher than when I came in. The cuticle work for the manicure was painful and quick/rough being neither effective or pleasant. I paid for the indulgent pedicure and not cuticle work was done just a quick cut....in fact there is paint all around my toes I'm just now noticing. The "massage" was again a weird and painful ankle rub. I think this is a management issue because everyone that works there is really really nice but your experience is just so hit or miss based on who you get. It's just really a bummer to spend $150 on a mani pedi and have it look this bad and feel worse on top of it. Maybe some staff training days? read more

First time going here and very impressed! Lovely atmosphere! Very calm and welcoming. I took my 6 year old niece and they did a great job with both of our manicures. Love the clean organic philosophy. Will definitely be going back. Point of note - it is more of an adult/quiet/spa relaxing space so if you have a more 'high energy' child I would not take them there. read more

The first time I went, I had a good experience. The mani didn't last as long as some other places but the ladies were nice and I enjoyed the experience. I went back expecting the same. My manicurist from the beginning was not friendly. I said hi butdabs just told me to pick a color. Normally doesn't bother me, maybe she's having a bad day, but she was very aggressive at moving my hands around yet failed to use words to tell me what she wanted me to do with them. Then she told me to not look at her. I was a bit flabbergasted and she said to look around or my phone but don't look at her. So I spent an 45 min staring at the blank wall behind her while counting down the minutes till I could get out of there. Plenty of other options in the area. I won't be back. read more

Always wildly impressed with PH7. I'm someone who rarely gets my nails done because I'm usually in a rush, left disappointed or cannot find a cruelty-free salon that's reasonable. Then finally, I stumbled upon PH7 and finally found what I was looking for - a clean salon that opted for natural products rather than the chemical products all other salons seem to use. The location itself looks rather small from the street but is spacious, clean and relaxing on the inside. I highly suggest making an appointment online and you're guarantee to be seated, offered tear or water and services within 2 minutes. The tea they offer is also delicious; Light, loose-leaf tea that just tastes cleansing. The plain polish for a manicure typically lasts 7-10 days and 30-40 for a pedicure. Highly, highly recommend this place read more

This place is okay. They dont have dryers in the salon you have to air dry, was NOT happy with that. The pedicure I got was okay, and a bit over priced @ $35 (I believe more or less)wont be visiting again. read more

Pros: Great for getting nails done. I once had a manicure from here without any chips after 2 weeks! And it's not gel! Also it's pretty affordable and they take walk-ins. Con: I don't particularly recommend for waxing. Seemed inexperienced and wasn't done properly. I still had to shave when I got home read more

Had a pretty mediocre experience. The space is quite lovely, but everything other than that was just OK. I got the spa pedicure, but it was really equivalent to a normal pedicure everywhere else. The woman that did my nails was not very friendly, the 10 minute leg massage was actually just 6 (she didn't use a timer), the hot water bucket didn't have that much water in it and the water wasn't particularly hot, and they don't have any driers so the process is quite slow. Overall they have the bones of a nice, upscale salon, but don't really follow through. read more

I think this place is great. First off, they have a really nice, large selection of polish to choose from. They even have a line that is vegan and free of toxins. The place is very clean, open, and brightly (not harshly though) lit. The openness of the layout meant that the place didn't reak of a cancer factory like most nail salons. The employees are very attentive and friendly and do not seem miserable or rushed, which is always a good sign. They took their time and were really thorough and the price was extremely reasonable in comparison to other spots. read more

Never had a bad experience. I go every other week. Massages are amazing too. They have also been flexible on cancellations in the past which is really appreciated! read more

Nontoxic. Every. Time. Glad the neighborhood has this option now. Calm, quiet, clean environment which proves very relaxing. Smells amazing without the chemicals. And a great selection of products like Keap candles (made in Brooklyn). I make appointments and I am seated right away. read more

This is a review of the ph7 location on Oxford St in Fort Greene -- I wanted to change nail salons and came across ph7 online. I've been three times in the last 2 months for gel manicures and pedicures, and the ph7 team does a fantastic job every time to make me feel great after leaving the salon. The salon also has a very nice and calming atmosphere, and the women who work there are very friendly and professional. I'm so happy to have found my new go to salon in the neighborhood! Thank you! read more

I went few times to this salon and was happy of the services until my last 3 visits. The last one was a such a disappointment. I went fo a gel manicure and few hours later it makes bubbles underneath the gel. It finally disappeared the next day but the gel on my right hand started to fall down one by own. I hold last than a week for a gel manicure... The woman who started the manicure was really experienced but in the middle of the job she had to do a waxing to another client. So a new woman came and I could tell that it was her first time as she asked to the receptionist where the products were. What a waste of time and money. I had to find another salon to redo the job... read more

Peaceful oasis for "natural" nail services. I wholly endorse the "indulgent" manicure, which includes a 10-minute massage while your nails are drying. This place is open and prepared to keep you safe during COVID. They took your temperature at the door and provide hand sanitizer. They had plexiglass dividers and everyone wore masks the entire time. The service was impeccable! I got the indulgent manicure and pedicure. It was easy to book online. I got started right away. Tons of colors to choose from. The tools were clean, the chairs were comfortable, and the service was great. Such a treat for my first mani/pedi in 4 months. read more

Great nail place! I came here for the first time with my friend who comes here regularly. So many of the Fort Greene nail places smell funny, don't have the best selection, etc but this one is top knotch! The gel selection is vast, there are nail art options, and the non- gel options are beautiful with brands as well like Butter London. The nail techs were all so nice and the prices were extremely affordable. I plan on making this my regular go to. read more

I came here on a whim this past weekend as I was in the neighborhood and desperately needed a manicure. This place is super cute when you walk in, and very welcoming. I went in for a mani/pedi, and wish I had read more reviews in advance. My pedicure was first, and the technician cut one of my toes so badly that even she gasped at the amount of blood. I thought it was a one-off, but then the cuticle trim on my hands felt extremely rough (I get my nails done every two weeks, obviously not here, so I'm no stranger to the technique). Within 12 hours, scabs are visible on five of my fingers. I've never had a manicure damage my fingers so badly. Absolutely do not go here, I'm crossing my mutilated fingers that nothing gets infected. read more

I am very unhappy with my nails. The nail polish on my pedicure chipped the next day. I got a gel manicure and the polish started peeling off the night that I did my nails. My nails also starting breaking 1 by 1 the next day. There were also bubbles on 3 nails. Gel manicures usually last me 3-4 weeks. This gel manicure didn't even last me 1 day. They are also very expensive, which wouldn't be a big deal if my nails lasted at least 2 weeks. read more

Hi Cici I'm just reading your response to my review. I certainly hope that you found it useful. Just to be clear I never paid for any of your services. It has been well over a year now and I have not visited your establishment since that initial encounter. PS "Person of color" is a politically correct way of describing someone who is NOT white or of European descent. "Colored" is what some would consider a racist term used to describe African Americans/Blacks during the time period of the Jim Crow South. I am black (with southern roots) and the other patron who left your establishment was black. All of your customers (not employees or owners) appeared to be of European descent. read more

This salon has very calm, quiet atmosphere and I've had two gel manicures here. They were both excellent and long-wearing if difficult to book (I couldn't get through on the phone or online so I ended up walking in and booking in person.) Four stars for nail service ( - 1 for booking issues and price - too high considering it's just polish and shaping). I had my bikini line sugared a few days ago and unfortunately it was the worst hair removal experience I've had...ever. I usually get waxed two or three times a year so I am familiar with the discomfort, but this took a long time (my regular salon takes 10-15 minutes max) and it really hurt (I have two tattoos and I'd compare the sensation - but my tattoos are on my back!). I requested a natural triangle in the front and everything off the back/sides/"undercarriage" (if you will) and despite my asking multiple times the technician kept trying to give me a full brazilian. (I was prepared to pay for a brazilian, I just wanted my front pubes dammit!). I finally had to tell her to stop. My right side is totally bare and the left has a two-inch strip. It looks so ridiculous I have to laugh but then again I paid $50 for this and had to clean up extensively at home with tweezers. Zero stars for hair removal, four stars minus one for nails = 1 star. read more
