Overall, great service, comfortable experience, and I'll keep coming back.

Highly recommend going elsewhere where they actually look / assess your eyebrow prior.

Below are some lines from the emails by the owner of the salon. "I'm very sorry that you felt that you had to post a public review and hurt a small business. It is really awful that you felt that you need to attack us this way. God bless you. There is so much pain and agony in this world right now and for you to take out your anger on us is so disappointing. I hope it makes you feel good that you got to get your opinion out. The world is full of so much pain and we will continue to treat people with kindness and respect." I stand by my words below as my review is based on my honest experience & facts. ------------------------------------ I chose this place based on glowing reviews on Yelp and I wish I didn't. I spent $380 (+ tips) for one hour treatment at this place I'm immensely dissatisfied with the experience & the result. 1. See attached before and after photo of my face. After photo was taken 24 hours after the facial and you can see how my skin is really red and pores are enlarged. I believe my skin was damaged during facial but I waited and see if my skin improved. My skin did not improved and I ended up getting a laser treatment elsewhere after a month. I reached out to the owner at later date and her answer was basically I reached out too late and nothing She can do about it. She said any damage to skin is not possible with this treatment I feel she did not trust my experience which is very insulting. 2. Room I was assigned was extremely small that the bed did not fit with the width of the room and had to be diagonal. I felt claustrophobic and did not feel relaxed. Also they play R&B music during facial which I find it distracting. My room also was next to the front desk and had really thin walls and I could hear phone calls or even couching noise from the receptionist. 3. Many important details are missing during facial. My facialist had very cold hands which felt uncomfortable. I found their light to be a bit bright during extraction so asked for an additional protection on my eyes. They just added additional layer of tissue and I wished they have more proper equipment for protecting light sensitive eyes. I asked her to apply a lip balm at the end of the treatment and was told they ran out of the lip balm. I don't understand how they could run out of a lip balm or they could just apply eye cream over lips.

It's a bit more expensive, but it's worth it for a non-toxic gel manicure that lasts a long time. Each client gets a separate tub they bring out from the back, so not weird plastic lining or water gets full bacteria and fungus.

Appointments are encouraged but they'll take walk ins too. I did just that today for my first time experience. I was told I had a 5 - 10 minute wait, but it turned out to be more like 15 minutes. No biggie. The space was clean and spacious with plexiglass separating the pedicure station among other Covid safe protocols. I liked the variety of nail color brands such as Butter and Deborah Lippman. Typically, Essie and OPI are the only choices. The pedicure station didn't have running sinks. Instead, a basin of water was brought to the chair. The water in my basin was so shallow that my feet were sticking out. The technician had to add several more cups of water from the sink to the basin. The basic pedicure at $33 was no different than the average nail salons I've been to. The technician seemed to rush and I had to point out a couple missteps to her. Once she was done, a fan was brought over to air dry the toes. I got impatient and left after 10 minutes. Since the technician disappeared, I went to the front desk to pay. I was disappointed. (BTW, I inadvertently checked in to the another business with similar name in Fort Greene, but this review is for the one I visited). I doubt I'll return.
