I decided to get a Brazilian wax and underarms. ok honestly. Meenu is super sweet, but a few times she pulled the wax up very roughly. I just dealt with it. It is better to roll the waxing strip across toward the hair growth. She was fast and in the process of training two new people, and I declined to let them watch. When I got home, I applied a lot of aloe and arnica gel to soothe the area that was just waxed. She is sweet, but if she is in a rush, she will pull the waxing strip upward a little roughly.

This sugaring spot like many I've been to, have no hot towels. You really can't sugar without hot…read moretowels. No matter how talented the technician you will leave sticky. Also there was no pre-care. They do a Brazilian facial, but it's just like a scrub, which you should never do at the same time as a Sugaring or a waxing. Those processes are already physically exfoliating. With no hot towels, there is no way to open up the pores to loosen up the hairs so I had a bunch of breakage. I had regrowth within the week. Sugaring should give you about 2 1/2 weeks hair free. My technician was talented, but she only had a firm paste available to her so it was incredibly painful while she molded the sugar which shouldn't be painful at all. It was like dragging silly putty over my hairs. The walls needed another coat of white paint. You could see faint purple paint behind it. The bed is so rickety and narrow. There's no padding, I could feel the frame under my body. It was like laying on a wooden slab. My butt cheeks hung off of either side of the table. This is definitely not a double bolt treatment table, so all of the weight rests on a single bolt that could break. No windows no Plants. Nothing comforting.

The space is clean, well-maintained, & thoughtfully decorated. The atmosphere is relaxing, the blankets are comfortable, & I appreciated the Christian music and R&B that often played during appointments. It was easy to relax & even fall asleep while getting my lashes done. One issue I experienced involved excessive lash fallout shortly after an appointment. When I brought it to their attention, I felt there was an initial attempt to place the blame on me. During that same situation, I was encouraged to book a full set despite having recently received one & was asked to return the following day to complete the service. While the issue was eventually resolved professionally, the experience left me feeling frustrated & undervalued as a client. Over time, I realized that something always felt off in the overall client experience. I'm not expecting friendship from someone providing a service, but with personal services like lashes, waxing, nails, or massages, clients naturally develop a level of comfort & familiarity. Although there were moments where they were kind, I often felt more tolerated than genuinely appreciated despite my continued support of the business. There were also several moments where communication & rescheduling felt unnecessarily difficult. One interaction that stood out was being placed on hold for over 15 minutes. While on hold, I called from another number & the call was answered immediately. The reaction once realizing it was me made the interaction feel uncomfortable. I also invited them to participate in a volunteer empowerment event for young girls because I believed they could be positive role models & demonstrate what entrepreneurship & success in the community can look like. I viewed it as an opportunity to give back & encourage young girls to see successful women who looked like them pursuing their goals & building businesses of their own. While I fully respect everyone's right to value their time & services, a last-minute disagreement regarding compensation ultimately led us to withdraw the invitation. The situation reinforced some of the concerns I already had regarding communication & professionalism. Looking back, I realize I focused heavily on the quality of the work while overlooking how the overall experience made me feel as a client. The lashes were beautiful, & I still believe both women are highly skilled. However, over time I learned that talent alone is not enough for me personally. Professionalism, communication, & making clients feel genuinely welcomed matter just as much as the final result. If your priority is solely the lash work itself, you may have a positive experience. I can only speak honestly about my own experience as a long-term client.

When I got there I was early and was told I have a 15 minute wait so I decided to grab something to eat. I figured this was going to happen because Sunny was out. By the time I got back they were ready. The front desk receptionist Rashida (sorry if I misspelled your name) was great! Greeted me with a smile, showed me how to check in and even check in by her was AMAZING! Now for the in between waxing experience. Amy came in and did the standard procedure. She gave me a mirror for the part she finished but not the next part to check. When I got home I still had spots that were not taken care of that I had to do myself. I am paying for a service. If I wanted to do it at home I would've. I had wax all over me and even on my phone. Honestly the only reason I would come back is because of Sunny and the receptionist tonight. Other than that I would skip and do the waxing myself. Also, this place needs an upgrade from the design to the tables. This place needs a total makeover.
