Probably the best pedicure I've ever had. They do a good job of scrubbing your feet without tickling you. Some of my nails were so well done and I appreciated them taking me in last minute to fix 3 broken nails, but I thought they were going to change the paint on the other nails to match the newer color. It was the weirdest experience because I had asked them to clarify and even explained this to them when I was finished. I came in with legit 2-inch claws and Quinn got them down to a manageable length and they look amazing for relaxing on the beach. They remind me of those jelly shoes every little girl has growing up and i can't help but smile every time I look at them. My husband got the relax ruchki and was so relaxed he said he fell asleep about 4 times for a tiny bit (his treatment was with Karsang and he said she was wonderful and gentle)! Before I could even get to get services the nonsense began and ended with the receptionist. This interaction was at 1245, Saturday, Jan 28, 2023. I had a scheduled appointment for relax mani and pamper pedi at 130pm. So when I went I was early. I proceeded to say to her I know I am early but would I be able to be seen at the 1245 time. She said, no. I said okay, when I do come at 115 can I just have the pamper pedi instead, only because that mani would start at 215pm, online it does not give a time-frame for each service. She proceeds to say, no, you will be charged for the entire service(s) because you are not within the 3 hours change window. ONLINE DOES NOT SAY TO CHANGE SERVICES YOU NEED 3 HOURS IT SAYS CONTACT THEM. That's why I came earlier. Anyways so I say to her, I will come at 115 pm. She then says. Oh I am going to cancel your appointment so I say what I still want the services she then rolls her eyes. So I say to her do whatever you want at this point. The issue is you take no card upon booking and then your policy is not clear on how to change the services you want. Read my screenshot it is not clear. I was happy to live in the neighborhood and decide never to support this business - ever. Another thing to note, the gentrification of downtown brooklyn made this subpar customer service "okay". This is a review from a recent relax mani + relax pedi with nail art. Both this location and its sister location down the block have a cozy vibe, with tons of house plants. I booked appointments with first available technicians, which technically had me getting one service at one location and the second service at the other location, however the second technician came to the other location to accommodate me which I appreciated. One note on the interior is that the pedicure and manicure stations are fixed - meaning you can't move the seats forward or back so if you are very tall/short or in the case of the pedicure stations, larger bodied, it may be a little more challenging to get comfortable. Similarly, the seats at the drying stations are just stool without backs. Overall, I'm very happy with the nail services even if a touch expensive. I was also particular about the nail art and the technician was very patient with me after I asked her to twice redo because I was being picky. The owner also came by to make sure I was happy with the service in the end which I appreciated. read more

Self service is key nowadays...I appreciate the option to make my own appt! I initially wanted a mani + pedi, but time didn't permit. I ended up selecting the relax pedi. I got there super early and was greeted and offered tea/water. I selected my colors and mentioned if time permits, I'd like to add a mani to my appointment. I pretty much hung out vybing to the music selection (which was pretty awesome BTW. I totally forgot to ask who's playlist that was). The mgr - Anastasia was pretty mellow and attentive. I was seen a little earlier that my appointment time and was able to get a mani too. Both services were impeccable. Didn't feel rushed...technician friendly, and my nails look great, finally! There is a true ambiance here...subtle and easy going...especially during the week. The color options are extensive and the establishment is clean. Had a fantastic quiet time at this spa when I came for a pedicure during the summer. I made an online appointment the day before (during the week) and by the next day my booking was confirmed. I did the pamper pedicure with jenny and enjoyed every moment. When I arrived was greeted promptly at the door along with my pedicure it started one time! Giving this place 4 stars based on my experience with Valeria who did gel manicure and regular pedicure for me on my first time about a month ago and today I went in to get my gel manicure done by Rosa. Both of them were so great and were very patiently did such awesome jobs! I also loved the products they used on me (forgot the name of the lotion but my hands and feet felt super soft and smooth afterward) This place has a really nice decor and is organized and clean. It's definitely Instagram-able. The reason I'm not giving them 5 stars is that the front desk could be very helpful, but at times appeared to be very annoyed and moody so that could have been better. This place is not cheap so if I were to be paying $$$, I don't think I want to put up with the front desk's moods. The booking is super easy through Yelp or over the phone. I really had such a nice experience at this nail salon. Everything seemed very clean. It was so lovely to be pampered on my birthday. Service was friendly. I felt as if I was sitting in a living room, and having a manicure. The air quality was perfect, and smelled like essential oils. I think the essential oil part was my most memorable experience. I felt that the nail technician was very detailed. She was professional. Although, she did not say much. At times, I felt like she was a little rough on my cuticles. When I tried to speak with her, she did not really answer. The book selection, I loved. I was not able to sit down to read due to schedule. I did not see any magazines anywhere - and this helped to make the appearance of the salon cleaner and well organized. It is also nice for a change not to see advertisements everywhere, and being bombarded with covers that say, "How to lose 10 pounds in two weeks." For a $45 gel manicure - I felt that a tiny back massage could have been given. Although I loved breathing in the fresh oxygen from all of the plants around me, I couldn't help but feel as if I were missing out on something. Massage chairs in salons are often disappointing. Needless to say, if you are going to miss out on that extra amenity, the service should be spectacular. The receptionist/owner was personable and down to earth. The staff follow strict COVID protection mesures - temperature is taken when you enter the shop, all seating areas are wiped with alcoholic tissues, plastic dividers are put up on the tables to avoid droplet contact, and everyone's wearing masks. Finding good nail salons is hard. But, I can definitively say that Ruchki is just that. The owner is here and clearly cares about the business. The patrons are also lovely which is a plot twist considering I typically have to hear basic b's yelling about nonsense to their friends about last nights white claw any place I get a pedicure. The aesthetic is not upsetting (think nymag millennial Wing succulent plant diffusion ) and the staff is top notch. Also I always love when plants are thriving in a place, seems like it's a good omen even if it literally has nothing to do with pedicures or waxing. I've been going to RDN since they opened a few years ago. The space is gorgeous, calming, incredibly clean (always has been, and they've stepped it up even further during Covid). In fact, I often walk my dog by around 7-7:30am and see someone inside deep cleaning the place each day before opening. I was greeted warmly at the door and the entire experience from that moment on was comfortable and luxurious. I booked a Brazilian sugar, gel mani, and pedi and all three were performed meticulously. My nails are perfectly shaped and the polish is even and was applied in super thin layers. I love the design of the salon, it's very chic and super clean. As you are greeted by the receptionist, you are exposed to an array of colors and polishes in front of the desk. After choosing colors and picking your choice of drink (tea or water), you are escorted to your station where your tea is awaiting you. The pedicures on average are about 45 -50 minutes. The foot massage is relaxing. The final touch to my appointment was the receptionist who was concerned about my pedicure possibly messing up because I couldn't wait 30 minutes to dry as I had another engagement. They have a cute chic spacious minimalist vibe going on and they use all natural products. I usually do the "pamper" package on my hands and feet. The technicians are friendly and take their time doing my nails. My pedicure usually lasts around 3 weeks but, no matter what I do my manicure only lasts 2-3 days. I haven't tried gel nail polish yet, because my nails keep breaking. However, I do like visiting this nail salon every now and then. read more

As I entered I was welcomed by a smiling receptionist, who got me situated with a nail color and then offered to bring me some hot tea. They have a decent selection of eco-friendly nail color. Salon is very very very clean and neat. The prices are above market value but totally worth it for the service they provide. Their pedicures are so refreshing and last for at least a month. The only issue I had was with their manicures. They do not last as long as I would have liked especially for the price I paid.
