Such a great location. I always am a little nervous getting my nails done as I bite them a lot and they short, the skin around then is raw and cut up. I opted for gel extensions since I needed length. I've only had acrylics so I was excited to the something new. I got short almond and they look so natural. For my daughters 5th birthday, I promised to take her and a friend to get a manicure, I chose this place because of their more natural nail polish selection. I went into the store to make the appt, saw them write down the name and my phone number for the appt time. When we showed up a week later for our appt, they changed their system from a notebook to a digital version, claiming they don't have it in the new system. The 5 year old girls, meanwhile super excited and choosing nail colors, and them telling me they don't have time, despite me having an appt. It was so frustrating and they were awful. However I witnessed that the nail tech that did a pedicure for prior, rinsed the bowl with water only and proceeded to take the next client. That is unacceptable for me. I should have told the lady who came in to get her pedicure that the bowl was not sanitized properly. As far as my manicure and pedicure they were ok. Nail polish was applied to thick and had globs. Also, after about a week the polish started to get stained. I don't really work with my hands, and don't see an obvious reason or explanation for this. I had a great manicure with Ellie today! First, she took my temperature and sanitized my hands before starting and wore a mask and gloves the entire time. There was a plastic barrier between us too. Unfortunately a lot of salons aren't doing this, so I was happy to see this at Nail Project. So I got my very first set of acrylics from a different salon yesterday that were quite painful 24 hours later and looked thick, bumpy, and poorly done. Ellie came to the rescue and removed the gel polish, meticulously filed my nails to a much better shape, and then repainted them, asking me questions along the way to ensure that I was satisfied. She was patient and super nice and I loved the final look. I will definitely return to this salon in the future! read more

Truly disgusted by this place. I specifically asked for Nora for designs but they said that she wouldn't be back for the foreseeable future. I made it very clear that I wanted designs and they said no problem. I arrive, show the lady the design I want and she told me that she couldn't do it. At this time I am getting a pedicure and getting my old nails filed off. I show her another picture totally different than the one I originally showed her and I was told nope can't do that either. My total after leaving for a basic pedicure barely any massage and UV gel removal (filing) was $60. I could've gotten a real pedicure with a massage for $30 elsewhere. This place is fake booji. Let me first start off by saying for a business, communication is extremely crucial and an essential part of your service and customer retention. Sadly, Nail Project failed here on so many levels. First, I booked an appointment online and no one got back to me and it wasn't until I called their salon 3 days later that I was told my appointment request went into their spam inbox (that should've been a red flag) especially since I've heard them say this to customers before in the past. So why not fix this issue huh? Either way, I proceeded to move forward and book an appointment for an Apres Gel set which I've gotten many times in the past and on their website is advertised for $65 Secondly, when I called the salon, the nail Tech Olivia instructed that I send her a picture of the design I wanted in order to save time during the appointment. So I sent here a picture of a gold French tip design the day before I arrived and it wasn't until we were about to start the design that she tells me, they don't have any gold polish or other gold alternatives to create the look I wanted. Even worse, she tried to pressure me to quickly come up with another style and I did (one which I wasn't happy with but I went along with it to not further complicate things) Now for my second design option, I settled on a half French tip which she complained the entire time about how she couldn't do it exactly the way I wanted. So I told her PLEASE, just try. Now a full French Tip design is $2 per nail so total of $20 all together. I did half a French tip design and was STILL charged $2, ok that's fine, not a problem. But once it was time to checkout, she told me the entire service (Apres and design) was $105 (less the $10 off when you pay in full cash) I asked her, why so much and she said "Oh, our Apres gel tip prices went up as of January 2021" Now mind you, not once did she ever mention this to me (a returning customer) and it's nowhere on their website. So shockingly, I had to cough up $95 for something I wasn't satisfied to begin with. Overall, thee absolute worst and most disappointing part about this entire experience is not the fact that she failed to communicate with me or fully disclose the price increase, or the fact that she didn't have the color I wanted in order to complete the design I asked her for, nor the fact that she complained about even doing the design --It's the fact that despite her not responding to my initial appointment inquiry, I still wanted to give them my business. Why? Because I'm loyal and I actually liked this place. Now for them to turn around and charge $105 after failing to meet the customer's expectations or disclosing their price increase is wrong and unacceptable on so many levels. During a pandemic, when times are especially tough for everyone, you would think that communication and great customer service would be priority to them but it's not and sadly they will continue to loose customers if this continues and they don't make necessary improvements. read more

I was sooo disappointed with my most recent visit here. I hadn't been in a while but I remembered how good they were in the past. I always got a gel mani with a design and I was always happy with the results. This time around my tech was awful. So I am just writing this so you all know if you go here, request anyone but Sydney. When I first arrived the person who greeted me was super welcoming and friendly but she did not end up being my nail tech. I sat down with Sydney for my pedicure at around 640 (my appt was at 630 for a pedicure and gel mani) . She was done with my pedicure in about 20 minutes. It was sooo quick. This entire time she hadn't said one word to me and when I asked her if they still had the design book so I could decide what to do on my nails she just said no. I was like ok...when she was done with my toes I asked her well can you do a design and she said no she didn't have time!! Aside from the traditional nail salons which boast the big massage chairs, Nail project has a comfy cushioned couch with pillows for you to relax on as you get you pedicure (see pics). Nice spin. The ladies were all very friendly and worked very hard. Customers without appointments ket rolling in and they kept serving them as best as they could. They are very cordial and offered you a beverage upon entering. I had a regular pedicure and gel mani at a fair price. She took her time with me and was very thorough. She paid attention to detail as i showed her a free hand reference photo of a minimalist design that was executed precisely. I do wish there was more time with focus on the actual foot sugar scrub application. For the price i would have wanted more time or at least full foot of paraffin wax, not just the heel. I am new to the area and after an exhausting week of moving, I deserved a manicure and pedicure and I am glad I was able to find the Nail Project. It was really easy booking an appointment. I was able to book through the website and the time that I asked for was confirmed within 24 hours. They also let you book on Yelp. I went on a Saturday morning at 11 and it was dead. Only two other people were getting their nails done. This makes sense since there were only three technicians but it was refreshing to get my nails done in a quiet space. One of the things that sold me on this salon is the fact that they carry Zoya polish. Although I love Essie, I get tired of those colors and Zoya is by far my favorite. And there were so many colors and they weren't old or overused polishes. They ask you if you would like tea or water but I already has a coffee so I passed. My technician was really sweet and hospitable. You begin your pedi on bench/couch seating. No massage chairs or jet foot baths, which I don't mind. I think my technician did a wonderful job and my feet looked great. The manicure is also pretty standard. They soak your nails in lavender​ water and give you a little​ hand massage. At the end, they give you a small shoulder massage at the drying station which was a nice touch. For $37 plus tax, I am not bad and would consider going back. read more

I really REALLY wanted to love this place.. I came in for the Apres Gel X nails & was super excited to try them out. I won't say her name, but my nail tech HERSELF was just amazing. Her & I had what I would call a nice experience. However, when it came to doing my nails, just horrible. As you can see the edges near my cuticles look insane. There is gel literally leaking out all sides. The shape is horrible & i had to file it down myself when I got home to look just a little nicer. My nails just look fake. they look like press on absolutely ugly & not what i expected/seen on others lol. not to mention the $30 DESIGN CHARGE... I had the misfortune of having Winnie as my nail tech on two disastrous occasions. My first time there I was made to wait because Winnie was late to work. She came in panting and sweating and got to work just about right away still catching her breath. All good, things happen, no big deal. So, it was a 15minute wait. I wasn't in a hurry that day anyways. She was rough as hell on my cuticles. She presses on the nail bed too hard. All right. Maybe she just needs time to center herself. I asked her if they had a quick drying topcoat, she assured me that was the only thing they used in the salon to my pleasant surprise. How generous, since other places charge extra to opt for fast dry top coats. Except she was wrong? I waited patiently for over 20mins in the drying area and the color still migrated creating wavy patterns aka it did not dry. This as you know, would not occur with something like Seche Vite. Oh well, a fluke and some miscommunication. Gave it another shot a few weeks later. Second occasion, I was all set with my own pot of Seche Vite. By pure chance I got her again. She was on time, great! Still rough and rushed on the cuticles, not great. Tackled my heels sloppily and roughly, stubbing my toe with the top of the implement in the process, not great. No apology, just relentless begrudging morose silence from her, not great. "Forgot" my shoulder massage, already working on the next client while I took a quick trip to the restroom, not great. So I'm thinking this is just her at her best since I'm her first customer of the day on both occasions. Why didn't I say anything during? How do you get someone who doesn't care to care? A client is clearly flinching in her hands and she choose to ignore it time and again. I'd rather not further enrage her unprovoked bubbling angst that had so far been directed solely to my feet. So I just prayed for it to be over quickly. Just my luck, a second visit with no pleasure of friendly service! Gave her 18% on both occasions but this experience deserves to be shared. I don't think this is reflective of the place as a whole, the other girls seem to have amiability and Normal Casual Human interactions with their clients. Meanwhile I was treated like a cow on a factory line. Hope you have better luck than me. read more

Sooooo I wanted to find a new nail place. My old spot is cool but I wanted to find a second one...you always need back ups. Anywho I jump on Yelp and started looking. When I came across this one I saw I could request an appt through the app...1st star. My request was answered within 10mins... 2nd star. I was all set. They already got 3 stars and I didn't even get a service. Once there, I liked the look of the place. They've been in business for 3 months. It was clean with soothing colors. The pedi area is bench seating. Not a fan because my back disagrees with it...but that's my only negative. I got a gel mani and pedi for vacation. Nothing is worst then having your nail polish peeling on vacay. My technician was Vicky. I believe she will be my new favorite person. They didn't buff the powder down, so the final product is overly thick and bumpy. On top of that, basic manicure services weren't included like lotion, hand massage, or a hot towel. I didn't complain in person, because I didn't realize how bad it was until I got home, so who knows if they would have done anything... but regardless, don't offer a service if you don't know how to execute it. Very instagramable! I came here Friday at about 2 pm without an appointment and they were busy, so I scheduled an appointment for a couple of hours later. I would recommend scheduling an appointment before coming, there are only 2-3 nail techs and they do gel most of the time which takes a while. I got a regular manicure and a callus removal pedicure. Min did my pedicure and I was very pleased with it, she did a great job. They were in a rush as the next appointment was up so I believe the owner sat next to me, while I was getting a pedicure and did my manicure. We made one through Yelp and they respond to messages really quickly. We got an organic pedicure, which was a bit steep at over $30. They had a line of nail polish that is supposed to be chemical free but other than that, not sure how the pedicure was organic. They gave me a great leg and shoulder massage as part of the pedicure. The nails do not last a single day. If you choose the regular manicure it will not be worth your time. Hours later parts of my nails are still rubbing off (7 of them). I waited under the dryer until they felt my nails and told me I was ready to leave. Even one of my big toes which dried 1 full hour before I left the salon has rubbed off almost completely. The topcoat never fully dries. It's unfortunate but they really need to change the quality of their topcoat or perhaps nail polish. I have never had an experience like this. Did a little research and, based on the pictures, Nail Project came out on top. The place is clean, quiet and relaxing. While waiting, I saw one nail tech going through nail polish bottles, cleaning the necks and doing some quality control. Colour selection is pretty good, too. My technician paid great attention to detail, gently cut the cuticles (major concern of mine as I have sensitive ones prone to bleeding) and made sure to put the polish as close to the nail folds as possible.The back rub is a nice addition as well.
