Made me pay in between the treatment which was weird, rushed the whole thing -literally did not even wait for things to dry or cover my whole nail and asked for tip 3 times. First time here and very impressed! Min was so sweet and attentive to my nails. She offered me a beverage and asked me how my day was - overall very friendly atmosphere. I would definitely recommend coming here after a long day to unwind. Gel mani was $38 and there is was also a complimentary neck and hand massage included as well. I had previously gone to Honey however when I walked in they said they had no one that could do Gel Manis that night - which is odd because literally everyone gets a gel mani so I'm confused why they didn't have anyone scheduled that night. Let me start off by saying, I really did want to like this nail salon... PROS: They were friendly and the salon was very clean. CONS: Overpriced and the experience leaves a lot to be desired. I opted to get a soft gel extension on my nails. She starts off by telling me that it's usually double the price in Manhattan and Brooklyn and for $65 I'm getting a great deal!! Well, let me tell you..it was NOT. They file the shape of the nail and then crazy glue to your natural nail and throw some polish on top. My nails lasted all of 3 days. I would compare it to the press on nails that you could purchase at CVS or Duane Reade. Very disappointing! My pedicure was average at best...The technician barely scrubbed the bottom of my feet and the foot/leg massage was all of 5 seconds (If I'm being really honest it was not a massage at all). Omg I just found my new favorite nails place in Park Slope! The place is super clean, lovely and calm. No tv it crazy music station. Nothing. Just the sound of silence and water. I did a reservation via Yelp one hour before going down there. They answered my right away confirming it. Yuki did my pedicure and sminuire and she was really careful. She also tested the colors I picked to be sure I liked them and and suggested me alternatives. Both service were $37 + tips. A pretty good deal! read more

Two stars because my manicure looks good and has lasted, and their facilities (for manis - I haven't tried their other services) are clean. My issue is their customer service. While I have had services where the nail technician was quite nice, their service and manner of talking to patrons has always been a bit abrupt. Fine, I don't need anyone to be my best friend. I can deal with that. The last time I was here, every employee was clearly angry. The demeanor of the person who demanded why I was there when I walked in was off-putting (she later told a woman who walked in asking if they had space an abrupt "NO" and then literally turned her back on her. The woman looked stunned). The technician who actually ended up doing my nails was worse. I spent the entire time racking my brain, trying to figure out if I had offended her in some way. She barely said anything to me during the entire process, and what did come out was super hostile. She was very aggressive whenever she had to move or rearrange my hands, which made me uncomfortable. She didn't ask basic questions, like if it was ok to cut my cuticles. When she was done, she literally just stood up and walked away without a word. Separately, she also left me for almost 20 minutes to soak off my manicure and didn't even do it properly, because the polish was still sticking when she finally started removing it. Instead of reapplying the acetone to continue soaking it off, she aggressively scrapped at the polish and THEN resorted to FILING it off of my nail, going all the way down to the nail itself. You DO NOT do this with gel, because it weakens the nail considerably. It's a lazy workaround, after she'd probably forgotten about me and needed to make up the time. I wish I had said something, but she had made me so uncomfortable with her attitude that I felt trapped. I don't want to name names because based on the fact that this seemed to be an issue with each employee, it is clearly a management problem (and not on the individual technicians). I fully understand that customer service is one of the toughest jobs there is, and that nail technicians work incredibly hard. I don't need over-the-top fake nice, I just need base-level politeness and to not feel uncomfortable. This place is $38 for a gel manicure, plus tip. This level of service is absolutely unacceptable. Needed a pick me up and new nails for my vacation next week and decided to try this place after seeing good reviews! I've been obsessed with abstract nail art on IG and knew I wanted to try a gel nail design for the first time. Called to see if they had availability and they were able to book me real quick for a mani/pedi. I showed up and they were so sweet, making sure they could do the design I had in mind. Iris was so patient with me since they knew I wanted to pick out a custom set of colors to match my bag. She answered all of my questions, gave me great suggestions, and worked with me on the color/design choice for each nail. She took all of my design suggestions with ease and I've never loved my nails more! Truly, I'm obsessed and keep looking down at them, knowing they're one of kind. Im so appreciative that she took the time and made sure to redo her design if it wasn't right. While I was there, the other nail techs were so sweet to the other customers and did their best to accommodate everyone. I don't usually give reviews but had bad experience with them intentionally cutting down the side of my nail-- they said it was because they were preventing ingrown nails but I've heard this is what causes them! Luckily I stopped them before they did more than one toe but that toe is in a lot of pain. Plus quality of polish is poor (even with an upgrade) and rubbed off with a day or two. read more

This has been my go-to spot since moving to Park Slope and it's been a good fit. I enjoy the bright space and decor and the girls have been really friendly. They give a complimentary, brief massage after your service, offer tea or water, and are attentive to helping you move around the space from one service to another. I had one shellac manicure that didn't last as long as I had hoped, but I've been happy with their services otherwise. It used to be dead quiet which was a bit odd but then they started playing pop music and that's not really my favorite either. This particular nail salon caught my eye, because they are very clean, they offer a vast variety of high quality polishes, they keep up with the nail design trends, and aesthetically speaking-- it's a gorgeous salon. However, if you're looking for a comfortable and relaxing pedicure-- this is not your go to nail salon. Being that the owners put a major emphasis on the aesthetics of the salon- they failed to take comfort into consideration. When going for a pedicure- you want to feel pampered, relaxed, and comfortable. Although, if you are taller than 5'4--- prepare to feel incredibly uncomfortable while getting a pedicure. The salon does not have reclining massage chairs to allow you to adjust your level of comfort. Instead, there's booth style seating and if you're tall- get ready for the most unpleasant uncomfortable hour of your life. Your legs will feel awkward the entire time (knees to chest) and for the money spent, the quality of products, and the aesthetics of the environment are just NOT worth it. I am so disappointed in myself that I came to this salon to pay for this level of discomfort. However, if you only want a manicure and you're on the shorter side- you'll enjoy the quality produced and the environment. The first time I tried out a mani/pedi just to see if I liked the salon, and really liked it so came back to do the gel set and write a review! Ellie is so sweet, patient and meticulous. She listened to all my input and feedback(as well as my chatty self) and the end result were a set of beautiful and perfectly shaped almond nails that look perfect up to now(it's been about a week). It was my very first time doing gel extensions so she explained everything to me and I was very glad to see that they took all the necessary COVID precautions(sanitizing, temp checks, proper distancing, plastic guards, appt staggering). Pay in cash, businesses really appreciate it especially during this time and a lot of them will have incentive for it. I get that this place is Pinterestly decorated, but there are a few nail salon basics missing for me. 1. No big, ugly massage chairs. Instead, a stiff, ninety-degree angled cushioned bench that's about as comfortable as an airline seat. 2. No jets or bubbles in the pedicure bath. The "bath" is just a big, round sink filled with still water. I kept glancing around hoping to connect with a fellow patron like "what's UP with this place?!" Never happened. Everyone was content to pay for their premium-priced pedis while being folded in half by a hard velvet bench. I don't get it! I'm not sold. My old nail place really spoiled me but I can't justify driving to Long Island every 2 weeks so I finally bit the bullet and tried Nail Project. It's VERY clean and the ladies are lovely however, you aren't getting what you pay for. $35 gel manicure was fine. $5 more than my other place but it was very good. The pedicure lacked. No massage chairs and no plastic sanitary liners on the pedicure tubs! Plus $12 for eye brow wax. I get it, it's park slope and those prices are typical but there are TONS of nail salons on 7th ave and are either cheaper or the same price. I'll keep this place for a back up but in the mean time I will try to match the service that I'm used to. read more
