Months later and I'm STILL dealing with the fallout from this awful manicure. The lady doing my nails used a nail drill to remove my Gel-X nails and drilled off so much of my actual nail; she filed my nails down so thinly that I essentially have to grow out the entire nail to get back a smooth surface, as seen in the photos. You can see where the drilled down nail is still not drown out. I am only updating because I have had to pay money and take time to repair this damage. read more

My first time trying this place out! Called Saturday morning and was able to get an appointment in the afternoon. I like that when I arrived for my appt I was seated right away. The space is very clean and well aerated. Kayle did my nails. I initially just came for gel pedicure but ended up really liking the experience and asked if I could stay for a mani. For my pedi I really liked that she asked me questions regarding my preferences and would adjust if I asked her to change something. For my mani I've always gotten the gel-X and this was the first time has ever told because I have a slight curve to my nails I should get the sculpted gel x . And it really sat on my nails SO much better than what I've had in the past . I got ombré gel X mani and it's beautiful! I really have no complaints. 1st Time I came into the place to get a Apres Gel and Spa Pedicure with Callus Remover. They were very new so I was able to see someone right away. I was greeted when I came in. Like the job. It last long enough. I had to go on a quick trip and was satisfied. 2nd Time: I decided to come back for a Gel pedicure. I was pressed for time and couldn't go to my go to spot. Since I remember liking my pedicure last time I figured why the heck not. They acted like they didn't honor the service in the beginning of my service and try to charge me full price. Once I had to explain they brought the front reception and when I explained all of the sudden they remember when they look at their POS system. After than was finally learned the technician was pretty rough and had to direct him. The callus remover seemed good so far. I will leave an updated review to see if the callus remover has any effect. At least during the hot summer they had the AC on. The bathroom was functional. However there was a HUGE hole in the ceiling. Looks like anything can fall out of it. read more

I was overdue for my mani/pedi and happened to be in the neighborhood for other things. Came across Rika and stopped in late in the afternoon on a Monday. As most shops like, an appointment is great thing, unfortunately, I was a typical walk-in. The place was bright and clean. The lady who greeted me was very pleasant and accommodating. She took me in right away and sat me down. Pedi with all freshly sterilize tools, brand new hermetically sealed emory board. Nice. Most places they reuse and reuse the emory board till its just a board with no emory. Just memory. Next came the mani...again, freshened tools(Same board from the mani, since it was only used on me.) Quality was outstanding. Actually the polish went on with perfection. No runs , no bubbles. No color. Yes I only go clear, base and top. Was a pleasant experience overall. I will go back. read more

What I like about this place is that it has some polishes that claim to last longer but cost $2-$5 more on top of your manicure. Mani is bare bones - quick massage nothing special. You get a discount for cash which is nice, but I wish they were just a bit more. Lastly, (this is just a preference thing) can't you just massage my shoulders for 1 min when I sit down to dry? Had the most amazing experience here! This was my first time coming here and I brought my boyfriend along to do a pedi. Took me a VERY long time to convince him that we both needed pedicures. At first he was very hesitant and embarrassed but ended up loving the experience. After our pedis I also scheduled for a manicure. It was an average service. There was a lot of people and it felt really rushed. I got one color gel manicure for 52 dollars.

Rika is great. I've done various pedicures at different levels as well as a basic manicure, gel and builder gel. The time and attention provided is always great and they offer tea and water for refreshments. They don't rush you out after your appointment and when not busy you can stay on the pedicure chairs while your toes dry. Cash is always a cheaper option over card but they'll tell you the difference before you pay. Overall it's a great, clean salon and everyone who works there is friendly. read more

I went here on Saturday pretty last minute while in Brooklyn to get a full set and a pedicure. The pedicure was fine no complaints. But once I started the full set I was brought a menu with different types of full sets. The one that sounded most like a regular full set was $110 ... starting lol for short nails. So I asked for a recommendation in which I was told the $80 option was going to last long and look very natural. Fine. The woman doing them pulls out these SUPER short full nails & I said they were too short because they'd have to be made square(the tips were coffin) . But she continued lol at this point it's taking a while so I just let her finish. Well 2 days later these "long lasting nails" started coming CLEAN OFF. I work a low maintenance job & rarely lose a nail that quick. I spent $200 and have no nails now lmao read more

Booking appointments are super easy through Vagaro, and highly recommend since they are busy on the weekends. But if you don't have one I would suggest calling ahead and seeing what their availability is, usually they can squeeze you in!
