I've been coming to JZ Nails for as long as they've been open. I followed Joey and Lina here when they opened up shop and I continue to come here every month for my mani/pedi's. They always do a great job and the prices are fair. I love that they're really clean here, everyone gets a new bag to cover the pedicure sink, you get a new set of tools, and you also get a new paddle attachment for your dead skin removal. I've also had my eyebrows done here every month and it's always a solid experience. I always feel like they do a great job and take their time with me. You can call and make an appointment ahead of time or most of the time you can just walk in. I prefer to make my appointments ahead of time so I never have to wait. I also love that they bring the gel colors to you in a sample rack so you don't have to stand there by the display picking your colors. read more

Solid nail salon in Cobble Hill. I needed a gel mani/reg pedi and was able to get an appointment within an hour despite being busy. Pretty much everything about JZ is great. The only thing I'd dock them on is the ambiance. It's a no-frills style place, even though their prices aren't necessarily cheaper than a more spa-like spot. I feel like every time I come here the service gets worse. I've been coming here since last year and they used to do an excellent job on my nails and my toes but just been having a bad experience. so I asked for my nails to be super squared and she decided to round my nails and then when she proceeds with my manicure there was like dirt under my nails, which I know she saw and she decided to rush everything and she wouldn't even let my nails dry and then at the end I asked if I can have something to take the dirt from underneath my nails, and she proceeded to push the dirt down further in my nail bed. Just a rush job overall I wouldn't recommend going here anymore. Used to be my favorite place but unfortunately that's not the case. To top it all off when I came in I told him what I wanted, and the woman at the front desk asked. Great service and quality dip powder mani! I purposely posted a 3 week-post photo to show how long their dip lasts. I have weak mail so dip is my go-to and I've gone to salons where they last max of 1.5 weeks before it starts lifting towards the cuticle. I'm at week 3 and am just starting to see some lifting on 2 fingers. From what I saw, they use higher quality powders like OPI and SNS. Some other salons I've been to use others and don't last as long. I think my mani was $46 when I used to pay $55 for something that would last half the time. I just found this spot and loved it! The women were very friendly it was a good value I got tips with dip and a pedi. I had Lina for my manicure she was very sweet and friendly- she gave me a very nice almond shape the technician that did my pedi was also good we just didn't chat as much but she did a great job very nice shape and wasn't too rough but still thorough. They showed me the stack of clean towels and bucket of sterilized instruments I am a bit germaphobic and they were really nice about it so felt very at ease, will be back :) read more

Walked in as a first-timer here hoping for a mani-pedi. Immediately noticed their polish selection looks very old and expired. The tech who did my pedi (not wearing a name tag unfortunately but had dark eyeglasses) was probably the worst I've experienced. My entire pedi including paint lasted less than 10 minutes. No massage, literally a few seconds applying cream then it was wiped off. Also a few seconds to buff dead skin off my heels. Was pretty shocked and disappointed. The other women sitting beside me clearly were having a better experience so don't know if they paid more for a spa pedicure or not. Only plus is polish application looks nice. read more

Finally I came in and showed how my gel had all peeled off after just coming in and spending a lot of money just a few days before. I asked for a store credit and she refused. I am traveling tomorrow so did not have the time to sit and get my nails redone. I asked if I can come back next week and was told no. Not the first time I've received terrible customer service here.
