DO NOT GO HERE. I chose this salon because it always seemed busy, but it was one of the worst nail salon experiences I've had. I came in for a basic gel removal, manicure, pedicure, and regular polish. During the gel removal, nail dust was blown all over my face and clothing. My nails were filed unevenly, no base coat was applied, and the polish was left rough and jagged at the tips. When I politely pointed this out, the technician attempted a fix that made them look worse. After I raised the issue again, communication became difficult and another employee ultimately had to correct the work. The service itself was disappointing. There was no hand or foot massage, no hot towel, and the pedicure water wasn't even warm. After the service, there wasn't an available drying station, so I was left sitting in a folding chair waiting for my nails to dry. To make matters worse, I was charged $80 for a regular polish manicure and pedicure with gel removal, and the additional charge for gel removal was never clearly disclosed beforehand. Despite multiple attempts to address my concerns, I left with nails that still looked poorly done. I will not be returning. read more

Would highly NOT recommend. Walked in here on a whim to get some grown-out gel nails removed (manicure was done elsewhere - I should have returned there). They used a drill to get the gel off, but took off about half the thickness of my actual nails in the process. It's been several weeks and my nails are still flimsy, breaking, and a totally uneven texture, with literal dips that you can see and feel on the bare nail. Shocked to see the positive reviews. read more

It is definitely not up to par in terms of COVD guidelines. I felt so gross sitting there getting my feet done. There literally was a fly just doing it's thing around the store. People without masks and no covers for the tubs. I let it go because I really need my toes down but it ended up not even lasting a week. read more

Well, if this review isn't long overdue... I was a regular at Regina's Nail Salon for 6-8 years. I cannot recommend their work highly enough and I absolutely love the staff. I (almost always) walked in and was worn out and exhausted after long walks and busy days. Still, I was made to feel welcome. I became comfortable sharing silly stories as well as sitting in silence when I needed to and I really just loved the team of women working there. As for the work, I've never found another nail salon where my gel nails lasted longer. The first time I got a gel manicure at Regina's, it lasted four weeks. Yes, you read that correctly, four weeks! My job required manicured nails that would always be "photo ready." So, Regina's became my go-to place. Even with my daily cleaning at home, my gel manicure always lasted 2-4 weeks and my regular pedicure lasted until I wanted a new one. Remarkable quality of work aside, I have many fond memories from this place because I rarely got "me time." When I did, I was thankful to walk by Regina's to find it open. I have since moved out of New York or I'd still be a regular. Regina and staff, thank you for everything. I will always remember you ladies. Stay well and enjoy wherever life takes you! And, to anyone who reads this, just go. Enjoy! read more

Stopped in on a whim to get my eyebrows threaded for the first time. I usually tweeze them but I let it grow out for a couple of months to see what would happen. They asked if I just wanted them cleaned up and I said sure. I don't know if they would have mapped a shape or anything if I said I wanted something more. All in all it was a flat $10 (although I tipped a couple of bucks too) and I was in and out in under 10 minutes. Quick and painless; figuratively and literally. read more

Regina's Nail Salon - Gel mani, gold foil - Nail Salons Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

Following the good reviews I decided to try this salon after a lot of disappointments with neighborhood salons (rushed/sloppy jobs, getting scraped/cut with dirty pumice stones, feeling uncomfortable etc) Marita was not only attentive (very good with cutting cuticles, making sure the polish was evenly applied on the sides and towards the nail bbut also very nice. She helped me pick a color for an upcoming wedding based on the dress and my skin tone. Will be coming back--thank you! *update* I would recommend going to marita or staying with someone you can rely on here bc I went to another woman at this salon (didn't have the heart to say no and that I'd wait for the person j usually go to) and she did an awful job taking my gel polish off. (Next time I will surely speak up) I.e Giving me a bowl to soak my nails in acetone (no foil wraps or even cotton ball) and she filed my nails down so much bc of course the polish wasn't coming off. My nails were so weakened from being filed down (on the top of the actual nail not just length). Miserable aftermath experience dealing with nails breaking, filing the rest down to match and waiting for my nails to grow out/get stronger again in the weeks after read more

I found this salon on Google and decided to go based on the reviews. I was excited to try a Russian manicure and left with an overpriced ($65) gel manicure. My cuticles look terrible, bubbles in polish, clunky extension, and it appears to be lifting around the side of some nails after only 5 days. I wasn't greeted when I came in, my tech never asked what I wanted, and had an attitude when I pointed out problems with the service. The owner- Regina came over and they proceeded to have a full conversation in Russian. I was upset and over the experience. I specifically asked for nude or clear polish with no pink tint...my nails are pink. I didn't even get a design. I gave 2 stars because my nails look good from a distance & because Regina fixed 2 mistakes that I brought to her attention after my manicure was completed. She seemed bothered, but was nice enough to fix my nails. The poor customer service and fake Russian manicure were a waste of my time and money. I would never go again. read more

Lots of nail colors to choose from Wish it was a bit cleaner in there I had a pedicure and my nail color chipped a day after on my vacation. I'm confused by the reviews and think that they are mostly based on gel manicures. They have to be!!!! I got a regular mani and pedi and while it was about $30 all together, my toes look like my 5 year old niece did them. Not horrible, but I don't get it...so bare-bones- no really scrubbing or even the option to remove callouses. My reg. mani is not horrible, but chipped after 1 day ( I did nothing to make them chip....was home for the whole day) . There was just very little care put into it, so you really do get what you pay for. Maybe stick to just a gel mani and forget the rest. also, their non-gel nail polish selection sucks. read more

Regina is the absolute best - I have never had nails longer than my nail beds because they broke and looked bad so quickly and normal gel manicures always chipped within a week for me because I use my hands a lot to cook/clean/type/etc. Regina's Russian Manicure is the only one that has ever worked well for me and it is literally amazing - I can go up to 6 weeks between manicures and they don't break/chip and they don't even grow out as much as you would think because she gets the polish alllllll the way to the cuticle without making it touch the cuticle and pull in a weird way. She is incredible at what she does and makes an effort to be easy to schedule with. read more

Learn from my mistake yall: don't settle. I went to Pau Hana next door, didn't have an appointment and so got turned away (they were full at 5pm on a Thursday), and impulsively decided to walk in here instead. I didn't like that there was only one other customer in the shop, but I had made up my mind to get my nails done today so I stubbornly decided to stay. The lady who did my nails was nice enough. And the salon carries lots of OPI and Essie colors. But the result was rather horrible. Maybe because I paid before she began the manicure, but she didn't bother to clean the excess polish or even out the color on my nail. I had also asked for square nails but they look rather round. And while cleaning the cuticles, she poked a bit too hard and my thumb started bleeding. My nails look worse than if I would have done them myself at home- without having spent $13 and waiting in a hardly- air conditioned store. I'm really not a picky manicure person. I don't need fancy massages or bottomless mimosas. Just give me a good manicure! Right now, I'm honestly considering making an appt at Pau Hana to get this re-done. read more

I was in the area with a girl friend and we decided to get a manicure and pedicure. We stumbled on this salon on a whim. There was no wait what so ever and they had a great selection of colors. We started with a pedicure the chairs were really comfortable and the pedicure was good. We were a little disappointed we didn't get at least a little foot massage but so be it. They were careful and gentle when working on the manicures and our nails looked great after. I'm happy to say it has now been 5 days and my manicure and pedicure still look great. A can't remember the last time a regular manicure lasted me this long. Good service and nice nail salon. They have a $27 mani-pedi special Monday to Thursday. Do NOT get your nails done here. I repeat DO NOT GO TO REGINA'S. 1. First of all, the unsanitary reasons are numerous. They have the dirtiest, stained towels. They reuse the same ustensils on everyone. They do not rinse the tub or use a removable plastic bag in the tub for each customer. This is a recipe for fungal infections and i hope i don't get one. 2. The lack of experience is blatant and they don't even try to do better. Simple cutting and filing is impossible at this place. Cuticle removal is a luxury here smh.The best thing they know how to is cut ur nails all the way down. 3. SLOW service. It took 2h for a half done pedicure (which i decided not to complete bc my toes looked worse than when i had the old polish on) and an undone manicure. 4. No utensils at all!!!! This lady was trying to remove gel polish with a cuticle remover. And the best part is that they charge to remove your gel or powder base manicure!!!! How courageous is that! My advice to clients save your money!!!! My advice to the owner, hire people who know their craft, be clean to avoid infections and thus lawsuits and be reasonable with your prices! read more

I came here based on the Yelp reviews and I'm sad to report that this was one of the worst pedicures I've ever received. Gloria was very kind but as the pictures show, the pedicure is just not good and she cut my nails very short and crooked. I hate to put feet photos out into the world, but figured it was necessary here - their chairs are torn as you can also see in my photos. They reuse the same files & tools on people and the nail polish selection is very limited and all the polishes are quite old and clumpy. Just seems a bit sloppy here. I would not recommend this salon. Or maybe it's best to go and get gels and have the other very popular technician do your nails? read more
