The service was amazing, my toe nail ruined while walking to the drying area and my nail tech fixed my nail right away without a problem. I've been looking for a go-to nail salon in the area and decided on New Iris today based on a glittery gel polish that caught my eye! I was due for a mani/pedi since my last gel nails were QUITE grown out and my toes could've used some care after all the walking I've been doing lately! For $80 I got a gel mani + regular pedi, no extras today though they did offer a variety of massages! I was in and out within about an hour, I lucked out since it was pretty empty around 3:15 today - the place was PACKED with both the walk-ins and appointments as I was heading out. The interior isn't overtly fancy like some other spots, but it felt clean and it definitely gets the job done. While I couldn't quite figure out the massage chair, I did still manage to get a semi-automatic massage while my feet were being scrubbed/polished! After my toes were done, I moved over to the manicure area. Decided to take a risk and try an oval shape today as opposed to my usual short square/squoval and it turned out a bit cattier/pointier than expected but it's all good! Now that it's been a few hours, I'm surprised at the thin-ness of the gel nails. There's 2 layers of color between the clear coats, and I've never had my nails feel this flexible with gel before (though they may have shaved off more than usual with that drill looking tool, I don't know)! This place is definitely close and convenient, and it looked like there were a lot of regulars for the regular polish manis, I guess time will tell whether I'll be back! EDITED to add: it's the next day and my fingers are throbbing from the intense filing. It definitely broke skin on multiple fingerpads - not to the point of bleeding but enough for even a hand wash to burn. Hopefully this heals up quick! :( read more

I'm really disappointed in my pedicure. When salons are busy, why not JUST TELL CUSTOMERS to come back? Instead, they squeeze too many people in. My pedicure was so rushed - people who were there before me left after, and didn't have callous remover. I paid $46 for a callous removal pedicure -she kept the callous remover on for about 20 seconds, skipped wax on my heels, a 30 second leg massage. Ridiculous. I feel totally ripped off! By the way, I rarely come and make comments on social media but when I left I made it known that it was th shortest pedicure ever and that I was disappointed. He just said we were very busy, sorry. Do NOT recommend this place. Terrible!! I got a pedicure and a gel manicure that totaled $275.00 and then when I came home 4 hours later my small toe nail fell off! They kept adding $10-$20 dollars for simple things. Absolutely disgusted with the service. I now have to go to the Dr to make sure my toe is not infected. There were nail clippings and dead skin all over the floor, and I didn't see anyone cleaning during the hour I was there. There was also a woman having a very loud FaceTime on speakerphone for 30 minutes after her nails were dry, just camped out in front. They also offer massage services and waxing services - they are great with eyebrows! The carry OPI, Essie as well as some of the other brands such Londontown. Average pedicure. The person on who did my nails had me put on my sandals before the nail polish was dry and it ended up wiping off part of the clear coat and the actual polish. She didn't take any action to fix anything so I asked her if she could at least put a clear coat on top to smooth it over. She did a terrible job with that - that toenail has a bunch of bubbles and bumps on it. The people are very nice but I likely won't return unless someone else does my nails. read more

Don't want your money here. I paid $71 for a pretty terrible French manicure. All of my French tips were slanted. Took up almost half my nail. I came in asking for a design and they wanted to charge me $30 extra when they didn't even seem confident that they could do the design I was asking for. They said "we can try. I was visiting NY for my birthday last month and found this place on yelp based off its ratings. I called them about an hour before they closed to inquire about a brow wax and manicure. They were willing to take me in for both services. I was so happy with my wax and manicure that I even added on a 15 minute (much needed) massage that was suggested by the nail tech. Come to find out she was the owner of the salon which made my experience even better. She was so kind and took her time to ensure my nails were neat. I'd love to come back the next time I visit. Iris is wonderful. Seriously one of the best, if not the best, mani/pedi's in the city. When she is busy, do not despair as she has hired a terrific team (Jenny is another favorite) all of whom are professional and wonderful.
