The cleanliness and vibe of the salon was amazing, the women working there were super sweet, and the color selection was very diverse... but that is where is all the good comments I have end. I wanted to love it given the many reviews and stars, however I was extremely disappointed. I was a walk in and requested a manicure with nail extensions and a cateye gel design, and experienced all the issues below 1. When the gel x nails were applied, too much glue was added on 4/5 nails on my right hand which caused my skin to burn when putting it under the light. I asked 2x to file away the excess glue as having it touching your skin and encapsulating your natural nail is unsafe, and it was not properly addressed. She started with attempting to dig it out/separate the glue from my skin using nail clippers which hurt and pierced it. And when I asked the second time, she simply filed it with a regular file so it was flat filled surface underneath my nail. 2. My nail extension was filed crooked. When I asked for it to get fixed, they attempted to but ultimately caused the nail to appear weird. 3. They were unable to create any of the designs I asked for. Nor was anything really explained in terms of what could be done. (The person next to me was given a few options and asked for her preference). 4. After I left, I noticed the top coat had a bubble on one of the fingers. I am usually not really the type to be super bothered on small details like design, shape, and issues with the top coat as I understand some things can be missed. However, I chose to get my nails done (rather than doing them myself) for the safety of a professional and correct application. I can overlook all the issues except that. Overall, I would not be returning nor do I feel comfortable for them to fix it. I am just disappointed and needed to share for those who may have similar concerns or thoughts. 2 stars are for the vibe, cleanliness, kindness, and good cuticle work. read more

This is one of the best nail salons I've been to in NYC. I had a gel manicure with Rachel and a spa pedicure with Jesenia. Both were lovely, attentive, and did a flawless job. I rarely get my nails done so this was a special treat for myself and they really went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. The salon itself is a lovely atmosphere, very Zen, and because it is non-toxic, it doesn't have that awful chemical smell that most nali places do. Everyone who came in while I was there was a regular, which says a lot about the level of service and customer satisfaction. It's a bit pricey but totally worth it. read more

I'm a little bummed out that I didn't have an amazing experience like everyone else that left a review. I opted for a spa manicure pedicure combo, something to treat myself for the end of the year. This salon seems to have a lot of regulars, so I was very hopeful! Maria, the nail technician that worked on me, as sweet as she was, her polishing and manicure abilities were subpar. I'm not one for confrontation and I didn't have time to have her redo my nails, but I was pretty disappointed with the outcome. I had to point out some of my loose cuticles for her to cut. It's also obvious that the nail polish bottle she was using barely had anything in it because it came out thick and not smooth. The polish came out bumpy and filled with bubbles and she applied more than 2 coats. I sat there for about 40 minutes waiting for the polish to dry. Once she confirmed it was dry and I was on my way, within 20 minutes of leaving the salon, my nails were all messed up. They were indeed not dry. I would've stayed longer but by the time I left, I had already been at the salon for about 3 hours. read more

Came here today for a Calgel manicure. My appointment was with Janet. She does an AMAZING job cleaning up cuticles. Mine were pretty bad, and she spent a good amount of time working on them, until they ended up looking like perfection. Janet was also very gentle on my nails, whether it was pushing back cuticles, cutting them, removing my old Calgel, or filing my nails. (I know at some other places, especially places that do Calgel, they can be a bit more rough during that process...) I'll definitely be back! This is a great nail salon!! I've gone multiple time to get my nails done with gel polish, and it lasts 3+ weeks without chipping whatsoever (and I'm someone who uses my hands often!). I was excited because this nail salon is super close to my home, but even if it wasn't nearby, I'd still recommend VIBLiSSiMO for quality gel manicures and pedicures that last! Just be prepared to give her the time she needs to perfect every detail! I loved my gel manicure at Viblissimo! It's been about a week and I don't have a single chip or mark. The manicures are pricey, about $90 + tip for a gel french manicure, but it's truly amazing quality, and It should be about 3 weeks before I need a refill. Everything was clean, and the staff was very friendly and professional. I didn't get a design, but the person next to me did, and I thought it looked great! Every time I go in for a mani or pedi I always get the cutest nails coming out. Personally I'm a huge fan of Japanese nail art and found them a few years ago when they were formerly called Sakura Nail Spa and had an uptown and downtown location. I've never gone to the uptown location so all my positive experiences have only been with the downtown location. Maggie usually does my nails and always works her magic to make my nails look amazing. I don't remember the other two nail artists who worked their magic on me but I can say all the staff are very capable at making your nails look fantastic. Even with the pandemic they adapted new measures to protect staff and customer health while continuing to produce beautiful nail art. I'll be a lifelong customer and can't wait to go back! read more
