Always a great experience at this location. The pedicure area is on one side and manicure section on the other. I have had Anna and Yashoda before. Both great. The people at the front desk are equally wonderful and attentive. I have had both manicures and pedicures here and have had good experiences with both. Light and airy studio with comfy spaces that feel really relaxing. Even though it's just upstairs from the busy streets of Soho it feels like you could be far away. I got the gel manicure and a pedicure. They had a few colors to choose from for regular and more options for gel, however the resulting color looked different to the swatch and I would have appreciated if they asked if I was happy with it before continuing. The staff were meticulous and the color lasted so well without any chips. read more

A pampered girl is a happier girl :) Once you find the entrance the oasis you enter is stunning. In the heart of one of my fave neighborhoods. The associates greeted me nicely but weren't very quick and forthcoming with details, information, etc so I had to lead the Q&A which was belittling. Because the experience was good beyond that I won't remove a star but they should fix that especially since I'm the one bringing their new location rating to the 4 star satisfactory zone. The nail colors were pretty and I'm so in love with color #3 which I decided upon this visit. It's a soft lavender-periwinkle color that looks so good on probably any skin-tone. I think my manicure was well done - I do have a tiny air bubble on a nail and slightly missed painting on my full right thumb nail but I was being treated so I won't complain. I wouldn't doubt they allow rental of the space for events; this location seems to have the ideal layout for maximizing an event full of ladies or mommy & me's. :) I'd totally host one! I'm really really bummed to be writing this. I got a pedicure and a buff manicure. Pedicure was fine -- I got one of the upgraded ones but it really was just sort of a standard pedicure that you would find anywhere. She shaped my nails well, but forgot to use the paddle exfoliator on one of my feet entirely, but it's whatever. I picked out a lovely color, she finished the pedicure, it looks great. Now they bring out the fans. Two dinky little fans made to be carried in your purse to cool you off a little during the summer are now being turned into nail dryers. Again: it's whatever. I get my manicure -- she does a nice enough job (though I noticed a hangnail on my way home). The biggest upset is this. At the end of the manicure, my manicurist comes to my side of the table and personally puts on my socks and shoes. I was a little surprised -- I'm almost 40 and not once has someone put my shoes on for me like that and I guess I'm just used to waiting a bit longer, but I thought OK she's the expert on whether they're dry or not. Now I get home...my sock has fused to my toenail, completely destroying the lovely pedicure I spent money on and took time away from work to get. Now I have to remove the beautiful shade I got and paint it again myself. I want to be mad but I'm just honestly feeling defeated. read more

Sundays has been my go-to selfcare spot since I discovered it during my pregnancy in early 2023 (I went to the NoMad location regularly before this one opened). Previously, I really loved their customer service, their technicians' attention to detail, and that they seemed to treat their employees well (this last part is important to me- my mother worked in exploitative NYC salons in the 90s). But after today's nightmare manicure with Rinku (my second visit to this newly opened location), I don't know if I'll ever come back. Rinku had a bad attitude from the moment I sat down. When there were no gel nail colors for me to pick at my seat, I asked for them but Rinku said that I "had to wait"until after I did my soak-off. She was very rough and caused a lot of pain in filing my nails. Even though she saw me take my wedding rings off and struggle to balance them on my lap, she did not bother to get me a ring bowl (my awesome pedicurist, Martha, later did). And despite being promised tea, I did not get it until maybe 1.5 hours into my service (others around me received water/tea promptly). At first I thought Rinku was just having a bad day but towards the end it felt more like she hated me for no reason. My nails were shaped and filed very unevenly- one hand's nails were much longer and pointier than the other's. Three times, I asked kindly and respectfully for Rinku to make them look more similar, and each time she just went through the motions of filing (roughly) for a few seconds without actually fixing the problem. She also made it difficult for me to compare the two hands again. At the end, the cured gel was uneven and lumpy, and my two hands looked nothing alike. It was as if two different children had given me a gel manicure on each hand. By this point, Rinku had showed such nastiness that I didn't bother to say anything again. I waited until she was out of earshot to flag Caity at the front desk. Martha then spent another hour fixing my manicure and redoing five of the ten fingernails. (I was at this salon for nearly 3 hours today--3 hours I'll never get back.). At any other studio this would have resulted in an automatic refund, and while Caity was apologetic, she kept referencing communicating with "Support" and only offered me a 10% discount. All my fingers were in pain after Rinku's rough handling and filing; I figured it would fade. It wasn't until I got home that I realized she had actually cut the skin on my pinky under the nail (photo here--Caity took the photos of the uneven manicure that was fixed so unfortunately I don't have those). I texted Caity to ask for a refund given this injury, and she again apologized and said that "Support" would review and get back to me. I'll update my review if I ever do hear from them, but this experience and the corporate-speak has me concerned that Sundays has expanded too fast to maintain its previous quality of care. I used to think they were independently owned and well managed, but I guess was wrong about that too. I'm really sad and disappointed, and will be looking for a new go-to studio. read more

Elevated above the bustle of SoHo, it's a calming space with attentive staff that puts you immediately at ease. I went for a buff manicure and pedicure, and the quality of the experience has raised the bar for every future salon I visit. Not only was it a soothing experience, but the work done on my nails was gorgeous and lasted so much longer than expected! I was in town for business and am so glad I did this -- so many people noticed how nice my hands looked. I'm back in the city a few times a year and will be making this a pilgrimage. read more

I'm 2 pedicures in at Sundays, and just booked my third. I've sat with Rinku every time and each time has been more pleasant than the last, we even chatted about her home country the last time I saw her which was sooo nice. I love the attention to detail on my cuticles, and in the past I've dealt with toenails that grows SLIGHTLY ingrown (not enough to cause swelling but enough to randomly be painful) and now that I think about it.. I haven't experienced any pain in that area since Rinku has been taking care of them. I worked in a nail salon for almost 2 years, so as a result I definitely have higher standards but I am VERY pleasantly surprised with not only the service + cleanliness at Sundays, but just how right the vibe is. Every detail is thought about! One of my fav things they have in the salon is a tan bin that is situated out of your way, above + behind your head - from what I can gather, its purpose is to be able to put your purse + other personal items aside and out of your way. As a result, your lap is clear, you're super relaxed, you're sitting in this spacious comfy seating while getting a pedi and looking out into Soho while listening to lofi and it's all just.. nice. Thank you Sundays for giving me a home salon for my pedicures, as I've been searching for a while. read more

I came in for a manicure and gel removal, and was pleasantly surprised that they removed the gel by soaking it and filing, not with a drill. The polish colors are gorgeous and I can't wait to try more. It's a bright spot with lots of windows and the second floor location means I forgot I was right outside a subway stop in NYC.
