While the prices were not exactly the most affordable, I felt like they were competitively priced for the value I received. The interior is bright and clean. I was a walk in customer in the middle of the day so naturally it wasn't super busy. I was able to score a metered parking spot directly in front of the salon which was lucky. They are in Park Slope, a neighborhood that's notorious for difficult parking. Difficult but not impossible, so fellow drivers please keep that in mind. I wanted a gel mani pedi and eye brow wax. Their pedicure stations have jets which I love because I hate plain soak tubs. They line each tub for sanitary precautions so that's nice. My nail tech offered me a spa pedicure which I decided to upgrade to because it's been a long time since my last pedicure and as a new first time mom, I don't have much time to go out regularly to pamper my feet. The basic spa pedicure was 55 and an additional 20 since I was doing gel. Not too bad. The spa pedicure included a leg exfoliating scrub, 10 minute leg massage, callus removal, and some hot stones. Overall not too bad of a deal. I spent maybe 40 minutes doing the spa pedicure. The manicure stations were on a long continous bar and customers were on barstools. I really liked this style for manicure stations. There was even a long foot rest which was great for short people like myself. I'm super particular about my nails when they get filed into a shape. I'm all about symmetry and I asked for a square shape on short length nails. The filing was not even on some of my nails but its not noticeable but just something to note. Overall, I recommend this nail salon and I intend to return. My nails came out nice and its been a week later and my gel nails are still holding up well without any chips despite caring for an infant and hand washing dishes daily.

I was in and out within about an hour, I lucked out since it was pretty empty around 3:15 today - the place was PACKED with both the walk-ins and appointments as I was heading out. The interior isn't overtly fancy like some other spots, but it felt clean and it definitely gets the job done. While I couldn't quite figure out the massage chair, I did still manage to get a semi-automatic massage while my feet were being scrubbed/polished! After my toes were done, I moved over to the manicure area. Decided to take a risk and try an oval shape today as opposed to my usual short square/squoval and it turned out a bit cattier/pointier than expected but it's all good! Now that it's been a few hours, I'm surprised at the thin-ness of the gel nails. There's 2 layers of color between the clear coats, and I've never had my nails feel this flexible with gel before (though they may have shaved off more than usual with that drill looking tool, I don't know)! This place is definitely close and convenient, and it looked like there were a lot of regulars for the regular polish manis, I guess time will tell whether I'll be back! EDITED to add: it's the next day and my fingers are throbbing from the intense filing. Mimi's husband brought up the quality of LCN, and what started as casual chat felt more like a sales pitch. My nails sometimes feel a little weak after removal, so I wanted to skip polish this time (plus, I was excited to get back to boxing!). The removal was $15 and included cutting, filing, shaping, buffing, and cuticle oil. Adding polish would've been another $15, with basic manicures starting at $15. I opted out of polish and will keep it clear at home. I know Mimi's salon has many happy customers and that the owners work hard to keep everyone happy.
