I would give them zero stars if I could. These people are RUDE, extremely unprofessional, and DIRTY! I used to come here all the time years ago; they used to be great! They've gone completely downhill. My sister and I went in for Mani/pedis. We had gel on and they used the equipment to take it off on my sister first (btw, it's SIX DOLLARS to remove gel). They took the equipment off my sister's nails and put it DIRECTLY ON MINE. Some of the cotton they used on her nails WERE STILL IN THE EQUIPMENT when they put it on mine. FILTHY! The floor around the pedicure looked like it hadn't been mopped or wiped down in week. GROSS! Now let's talk about the pedicure. The woman that did my nails was RUDE... just straight up nasty. She had a nasty attitude the whole time and did a really poor job. My feet have been peeling from sunburn so I went to get a pedicure to scrape the skin off. She half assed EVERYTHING. She scribes me feet for all of 20 seconds and dried my feet off. She realized there was still skin hanging off my feet. She LAUGHED and slapped lotion on it. She put A LOT of lotion on my legs, rubbed it on my skin (rubbing dead skin all over my legs) and there was A LOT of excess lotion. She wiped it off and painted my toes. Then said "get up" to get me to go to the manicure station. I had the most aggressive manicure I've ever had. She kept twisting and turning my hands and arms around. I don't know what angle she wanted, but it wasn't humanly possible! Then it came time to pay. It was $38 for a regular mani/pedi (which is RIDICULOUS for the garbage service). I gave another woman two twenties. The woman that was doing my nails immediately grabbed my hands and started painting before I even got my change. The other put the $2 on the table as the other woman painted my nails. She must've thought I was only going to top her $2 because she rushed through my nails. She didn't even cover the entire nail. It was clumpy, and unevenly painted. The worst manicure I've EVER had. I could've cried. So the nightmare experience was over and I reached for my purse to tip her and she points at the $2. So I said, "yes, take that. One second." And before I could get another word out she NUDGES me and says "only two dollar tip for a $38 job? That's all you're going to give me?! $2" I was in shock and said "umm you haven't even given me a chance to get my purse..." So she walks over to my purse UNZIPS IT AND OPENS IT. LOOKS IN MY PURSE AND POINTS AT THE MONEY IN THE SIDE POCKET. I didn't even know how to react. My sister and I were in absolute shock. I took my purse and allowed my nails to dry. There was NO WAY she was getting any more money from me. I took out $7 for my sister to give the woman who did she nails because she did a good job. Well... the woman who did my nails saw me take money out and ran over to me asking if I needed help taking my toes out of the wrap and to "check to see if they were dry". I told her that I could do it myself and shooed her off. HOW DARE SHE NOW COME OVER BECAUSE SHE SAW MONEY! My sis gave the other woman money and we left. I'm NEVER coming back. I have been going to this nail salon for two years and I love it. It feels like I have been going my whole life. I know the staff and they know me. They are nothing but kind and I always feel so comfortable and welcome. Chloe is my favorite. So darn sweet and talented. But honestly all the ladies are great. Just started my pedi. So far so good. I would have liked to have seen the technician wash the station with bleach but I'm ok she didn't. Looks very clean. U asked for a two minute soak and she didn't give me a hard time--thank goodness. Massage chair a little beat up but functional. At 11:30 on a Friday there are f patrons here. Stopped at Eves first but they couldn't take me as a walk in. :(. Not that it was crowded there but they only had three ppl working there. So have me a chance to try this place, I've never been. 5 minutes pass and my tech hasn't returned. I'm ok bc my water is still warm but I sure hope she comes back. Phew! She just got back. Went to Nail It first in Williamsburg...had a very horrible morning because of it (see my review if every considering going there :) My nails turned out perfect! Really took the time and attention to detail but didn't take forever like some techs tend to do. Spoke to the manager for awhile and he informed me they were the first nail salon in the area and one of the workers even left and opened her own across the way. I went in for a pedicure and had a very pleasant time thanks to Dustin. (Yes, that's Dustin with a D!) He took his time, was very gentle, gave nice tips on maintaining healthy nails and feet. Loved it :) Weekends are pretty busy; some people's wait time was about 10-15 minutes, but you can always call before going in to check or make an appointment. Went in this morning for a UV Gel Fill and pedicure. I took the Green Tea pedi and really enjoyed it. It was a treat for my feet. They had my favourite OPI colour and everything! The girls were all very friendly and the shop seemed clean and well maintained. The fill on my nails went really well. The lady that did it took her time and was really nice, engaging in polite conversation now and then as well. The price for it all was a bit much but worth it for the quality. I came to this salon bc Eve's had a wait and I was in a rush to get my nails done. I walked in with a gel manicure I got from Eve's more than a month ago, which still looked amazing but it was time to get my nails done again as it started to peel off. I regret choosing to come here, simply bc I am unhappy with the way my nails turned out. Also, my previous gel manicure wasn't even wrapped to remove old manicure, she simply buffed it and applied nail polish remover. This was a first I've experienced to remove gel manicure. While removing my cuticles, she cut my skin and kept working, and did not stop to even take care of the cut. Alcohol was applied after I mentioned. The ladies working here are nice and the facility is clean and aesthetically pleasing. I just wish my nails came put better, especially since paying $40+ tip isn't cheap for a manicure. read more

So I've lived in this neighborhood for a few years and I never thought about getting my nails done here. I usually like to go to manhattan because of the cleanliness factor, but I needed to get my nails done for a very important meeting and so I went to yelp to help me. All the reviews looked awesome but when I got there the place looked a little dirty, but i always give places the benefit of the doubt. So I got a french mani/pedi. They sat me down in this ripped up chair. They had a mini step to get to their ripped up chair that was black with dirt and when i had to put my feet up on the foot thingy it was dirty. I literally saw dirt marks on it (BLehhhhhh sooo gross). I have a thing about feet... I think they're disgusting. So my anxiety started happening but I sucked it up and continued on and in the end my nails came out really cute. Now this place isn't all bad, the workers seemed nice and the chick that did my nails did them well. I also liked the massage that they gave with the mani/pedi BUT i didn't get a shoulder massage, which is fine BUT most places I go always gives one. So the reason why I gave this place 3 stars was because of how grossed out I was by the dirt. I feel like i shouldn't want to wash my feet right after i was done with my pedicure. I am no longer a customer at this place of business due to the fact that the presumed manager of this place (an older Asian woman) tried not once, but twice to overcharge me. I am giving Nail Plus two stars because when I (was) a regular customer at Nail Plus, the other employees always treated me very well, and I always left the salon feeling great (and would the tip the ladies accordingly). Twice, the manager assisted me, and when it was time to pay, she attempted to overcharge me by several dollars for the exact same service I had always received. Both times, I refused to pay the extra money and called her on her bullshit. Although a little on the pricey side my nails and toes look perfect after a long week It was extremely clean inside and all of the tools they use are new. I've walked by here many many times, but their windows are tinted, so you can't see inside easily. I always expected that I would be disappointed if I walked in, as I have been with other places in the neighborhood. But on this random Monday evening, I took a chance. GO IN. I was pleasantly surprised by the very clean, modern appearance (the photo doesn't do it justice) and everyone was very friendly and attentive. It was not crowded, but I certainly wasn't the only patron either. Only two things to note: 1) they don't have massage chairs here. Instead it's a bench couch that is quite comfortable (moreso than most massage chairs, but no massage). 2) while they accept credit cards, prepare to leave your tip in cash. Paint job looks great. Get the Spa pedicure it's a must. One of many nail salons on the street but definitely one of the better ones. EVE's across the street-ish has the same owner I hear, which is why it's also one of the better ones. Very clean operation. Actually the ONLY place that I will go to in Brooklyn besides Element on 5th Ave. Unfortunately there are only a couple of good ladies here...the rest do inconsistent and rushed work. So if you are a discerning nail person, ask for Dio and make an appointment because she is always booked 1-2 days in advance. Dio is definitely the queen in this place...careful, conscientous and good technique. Nail Plus is the way to go if you don't want to pay $50-$60 for a decent mani/pedi every single week . I used to be a regular customer at this salon but not anymore. They used to use pre packed new files on each customer but not anymore, they have them packed but they didn't use them on me the past 3 times they used a old nail file. Also, it seems like they have joined the trend of other salons and are watering down the nail polish so that is a huge negative. They have several brands of nail polish (essie, opi and another that os a non name brand) the non name brand polish have nice vibrant colora but my nails chipped the same day and i had flakes of nail polish all over my floors from my pedicure because the nail polish was peeling off the next day.
