My family and I have been going to Nail Lab for 3+ years and I * always* get compliments on my nails! (People literally cannot believe they are my real nails.) Seriously, it's the one thing I look forward to every few weeks and it's so fun with nail techs who like to experiment. From chrome to cat-eye, to any crazy design idea from Pinterest that I come in with -- Shanni never leaves me disappointed! If I show her a picture, my nails will look exactly like the picture--if not better. I almost always blown away by her talent and creativity. She is a true artist! I also treat myself to their spa pedicures which are amazing. The staff is also so kind (and give the best massages!) You cannot go wrong with anyone there. My SNS manicures last at least 3 weeks, and the prices are also very reasonable compared to other salons. I highly recommend trying out Nail Lab (and making an appointment ahead of time!) I will never go anywhere else! THANK YOU SHANNI :)

Be prepared to wait!!! I've been coming to Nail Lab for sns on natural nails for about 4 months now. Shanni and Jessica are both great at taking care of your nails and have an eye for beautiful nail art, if that's what you like. They offers palettes of different embellishment and can bring your design vision to life. My natural nails have also grown so long that they look like I have tips on. My only complaint really is that it doesn't matter if you make an appointment, because they are almost never running on schedule. I'm usually soaking in acetone for removal anywhere from 30 to 60minutes before anyone gets started on me... I spend an average of 2.5hours here every time I come, for just an SNS mani on natural nails with designs, so keep that in mind if you plan on stopping by!

I've heard a lot of great things about this place so I decided to give it a try. I did not make an appointment and I just walked in. I don't remember her name but it was the nice lady on the left side table. She is amazing!! I showed her a reference picture and she automatically went to work. This is how it looked when it first got done and now.. 1 month later and it still looks amazing!! thank you

There's a garden on my nail! Just wild! Done by Shanni's steady hands!

Ever look at nail designs on Pinterest and ever wonder if you'd ACTUALLY get a design quite like it? Yes - Nail Lab CAN make that into your reality! Unlike most nail places, Nail Lab can actually deliver on the nail designs you've been pining over - heck - just look at the over 600+ they have posted! Shanni is the mastermind behind these designs, so make sure you book an appointment asking for her specifically. Pros: - a small, intimate place that has all the latest trends in nail designs from SNS to that new ombre french tips, they have it! - Once you sit with Shanni, she works not only quickly, but accurately too; no amateurs practicing on your nails here - there's a definite sense of loyalty to regular customers on a first name basis; this to me I thought was a dying art, but it exists - They take cash and credit cards with a $1 tax fee - Quick dry is $1; they'll ask you if you want it Cons: - the pedicure I received was pretty basic without hot stone or a hot towel like other places do; if you're looking for something fancy - try the spa options; maybe next time! - due to the popularity of Shanni and some of the other girls, this place can get fairly busy. If you get waiting anxiety like me, it would be best to book earlier in the morning; I fully intend to do this next time. Overall, a pretty reliable place for fancy nails - so keep dreaming those garden nail dreams; they do come true!

I was really happy when leaving Nail Lab but that changed when I got home and took a closer look at my nails. It was my first time doing sns nails, so I didn't get tips to see how "heavy" it feels first. My nails aren't as healthy compared to average since I have eczema. I told the nail technician to not remove my cuticles completely due to that reason. She was very nice, explained the sns process and what I can do when I want to change the color and design. Unfortunately, she wasn't as precise, made the nails a bit too thick, and a bit rough making one of my fingers bleed. My other finger was about to bleed too, but she noticed in time and filed at a different angle. Aside from the bleeding, the side of one finger does not have color, left ring finger is slightly sharper than the rest (can't file myself since this is sns), and the lil hoop design on my left ring finger is a lot bumpier than my right. All factors considered, I would likely give this place another try and ask for Jessica or Shanni. The grey nail pic is from their Instagram and the picture I showed them. Instead of grey I opted for a very light purple that looks closer to pink when applied. I got sns with two nail designs, which was a total of $55 ($35 sns $20 design).

I found this nail salon on (suprise) Yelp. And i was so in love with all the lovely pictures of the nail art and mani's. So i took myself all the way from 3rd and 70th in Bay ridge to 15th and whatever street it is in Bensonhurst, to get a powder mani and pedi from this salon. On the outside it looks very chic, but once i walked inside i was not expecting what i saw. Its very cramped and tiny and outdated and just bleh. Anyways, so i go in and i sit down and i tell the lady who is doing my pedi what color im looking for and she tells me to go look. So i go look. I can't find it and im unsure whether im overlooking it or something, because not all the colors have the name stickers still stuck on. So i go back and ask her if she can recommend something similar and she tells me to go back and look... To be fair her English was not the BEST, however if i come to a salon and iam looking for something in particular, i would appreciate some guidance. The pedicure was nice and the powder mani was done by a different lady, and it also turned out nice. I just wish they were a little more updated, organized and knowledgeable/helpful.

Came by with a reservation for Shanni for gel and regular pedi but ended up getting SNS instead of gel as per recommended by Shanni for a specific design she had done before. Pedi was spot on point, getting a massage on the massage chai while waiting for my pedi was great. SNS was a great first experience for me and I still rub my nails everyday because of how soft my nails are. When I went it was really busy, so busy that the technicians were working on multiple people at a time at times. I paid about $60 for SNS + regular pedi + nail art 4/10 fingers. Would recommend to make an appt to secure a spot

My friend has been hyping this place up so much so I knew I had to try it. I came and did my graduation nails on a Friday morning. At 9:30 am, it was already super busy and packed. It's a very small shop so everyone's on top of each other. I did sns powder with marble and gold foil. I loved the way my nails came out. They looked exactly the way I wanted them to. It was probably the most I've paid for my nails but they are definitely worth it. I am definitely coming back for special occasion nails. The only issue that I had with nail lab was that they were pretty rough, especially when it came to cutting cuticles. They don't soak your cuticles like most places which is fine, but my nail lady was literally ripping at my cuticles. She ended up cutting me which was annoying but not bad enough to not make me want to come back.

Update: appointment time and nails were good (Once...) Made an appointment for 10:00am waited for 1.5 hour till is my turn because one of the girls before us did not make an appointment. But why am I the one waiting? They shouldn't have do it for the girl without appointment knowing they have someone coming in. My friend requested ceci but she did not even get ceci. What is the point of making appointment? Scheduling and policy needs to be clear. Still love my nails but I probably wouldn't do it if i have to wait.... Jessica took her time shaping and meeting my needs for my nails. I did powered gel nails with four ombre designs mixing and matching. I love it! It was a cold day after the snow storm and I got there pretty late. It went over their closing time but Jessica still continue to take her time while shaping my nails. Will definitely come back :)

I'm not the type of girl who usually gets her nails done outside, since I'm pretty good at painting my own nails. But getting my nails done here is absolutely addicting. No matter the tech, the end result is always amazing. The polish is shiny and my hands are soft. If you're looking for someone who can recreate that cute unicorn or flamingo you saw on Instagram, Shanni is your girl. Be sure to make an appointment though, they can get quite busy. Last time I went on a Sunday and they had to turn people away at the door because they were so packed! They are a tiny bit pricier than other local nail salons, but it's definitely worth every penny.

I absolute love Shanni's work. Don't let this small nail salon fool you, it's a hidden gem. If you're looking for nail designs done properly and nicely, including with sticker foils, they can do it! This is my second time back and I'm impressed with their work. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because I feel like I was charged differently my second time and I was too in a rush to question the total price. A refill was more expensive than my first time here, and I felt the design for my first one is more expensive. Another reason I gave it 4 stars is the wait time. As a recommendation, make an appointment. Every time I go, even if it's a Monday or a Thursday, they are busy. And even if you have an appointment, you usually need to wait a little. If I could give it 4.5 stars I would. I also recommend (I think her name was) Jessica. She did my nails the first time around and it lasted 3 weeks until I felt like I needed to shorten and refill my nails. I probably could've gone another week with them but the length was too long for my lifestyle.

My friend and I decided to get our nails done the morning of. We went around 1 PM, there were a bit of wait but it was not terrible considering it was a Saturday (next time I'll definitely call first)! For the two of us, we were there for about 2ish hours. The place is on the smaller side. Only 3 pedicure chairs and maybe 4 tables? My friend and I had to go back to back because there were other customers. Aside from the cram of the place, the service, price, and quality of work were superb. I got my first set of acrylic tips and they were beautiful. It's been a week and they are still getting compliments left and right. Even thought they were busy and had people going in and out, I did not feel like my service was being rushed. My pedicure also turned out very nicely. (Personally, long nails aren't for me. I can barely type properly...lol props to all you ladies that can rock them) Will definitely be returning in the very near future!

A new salon that recently opened up in the neighborhood this year! They provide a wide range of…read moreservices such as waxing, hair styling, manicures, and pedicures. It also says they offer facials, eyebrow tinting, eyelash extensions, and 3D microblading. Contact information is collected and temperatures are taken upon entry into the salon. It's a big salon with stations for hair styling, hair washing, pedicures, manicure, and a back room presumably for facials and waxing. I came here for a gel pedicure and regular manicure. Pedicure was amazing, the wonderful woman working on my toes was gentle and thoughtful, asking if the water or hot stone massage was too hot for me, and whether the pressure for the foot massage was okay. She carefully trimmed my cuticles and filed my nails. Another woman did my manicure. She was very nice and did a decent job, it was a bit sloppy with some nail polish getting around my skin. The prices for a regular manicure is $10, regular pedicure is $18, regular manicure & pedicure together in one day is $25. French manicure is $15 and I think a gel manicure is $25. I passed by the salon a few months ago and there was a sign offering $5 haircuts for senior citizens and healthcare workers. I'm not sure if they're still doing the deal now but that is very sweet of them. After my nails were completed, they gave me a rewards card, where I can get five dollars off after my tenth visit. Overall, a good experience at this salon for my nails. Give it a try!
