I used to go to this salon before coming to ABS nails. It's a little on the pricier side compared to the other nail salons on Ave U. Gel manicures are $25 and pedicures are $17. Even though they honor appointments on the phone and are usually booked up, their gel manicures didn't last that long and neither did their pedicures. They also rush to do pedicures and dont have working massage chairs. I would skip over this salon and go to a different one. read more

It's been a minute! Looks like I have been a customer since 2016. Not once since I started coming here have I gone someplace else. So, let me do a quick break down: + Appointment times are adhered to almost all the time. I've had to wait twice since 2016. + Emergency fixes are accommodated most of the time. I am accident prone and tend to slam my fingers in jeep roofs or get my nails stuck in paper towel dispensers, so for and so on. I have swung by on a whim many MANY times to fix a nail and every once in a while I am told to come back but most of the time someone steps up to help. + Sing and Cindy both do wonderful work. - The massage chairs no longer work. - If you are into elaborate nail art, this place might get a bit boring. But Cindy is an ace at replicating geometric designs. I've seen her do wonderful work. This is a NO FRILLS place. Treat it as such and you will have a wonderful experience. Also, tip well for the hard work. It will go a long way. read more

Went here for the first time today & I'm pretty happy that I did. Cindy did my gel manicure & I love how much of a perfectionist she is. She really took her time & made sure all my nails were filed evenly & that the polish was applied on perfectly on every edge. I absolutely hate when nail salons rush & I end up w/ a half-assed mani, so today I was actually 100% satisfied w/ my nails. I also got a pedicure done here by one of the other nail techs that I was also satisfied with. I will definitely be getting my nails done here from now on. **TIP, it's best to make an appointment bc it's a small salon & they do get busy fast. I actually didn't have an appointment but after I came in, I noticed that they stopped taking walk-ins. read more

Macro Rainbow Nail Salon - Gel mani by Cindy! - Nail Salons Near Me - Sheepshead Bay, New York

I've tried many salons after my regular nail tech of 3 years did not respond to my last attempt at setting an appointment. But long and behold I've finally found a great, solid, affordable salon in Sheepshead Bay. Cindy made me so happy today. Her attention to detail is very satisfying. She did a great job with my pedicure and my gel fill. She will be my go to from now on! read more

I got mani's and pedi's done here regularly for years. There's no question about it - they do good nails, and I loved the fact that they use paraffin on your heels for every pedicure leaving your heels feeling baby soft. Then one day I caught a worker taking the used paraffin from the garbage pail that they keep near the paraffin container, and she dumped it right back into the hot, "fresh" paraffin container. I asked my regular nail gal why the other worker did that and she gestured toward the male and female owners like "ask them." I DIED. Never returned after that. Grody... read more

The rudest nail techs. Don't care about their customers, rude in person and on the phone. Don't waste your time at this place. Many much better places in the area. read more

This is not my normal salon, but I had to get my nails done quickly before a trip. I came in, with an appointment, due to their good yelp reviews. Right off the bat, each and every person working there had a mean attitude, not sure why. The first woman seemed irritated by my presence. She was removing my gel manicure so violently that she bruised my nail bed. It really hurt bad and when I flinched, she threw up her arms and walked away. I have never had a nail tech so rough. It was almost like she was taking out her aggression on my nails. In total three people worked on my nails (not sure why), and it was an awful experience. The end result was uneven and throbbing nails. Never again. Also the place looked dirty. read more

Prices are pretty good and overall my nails look good 2 weeks later - shaped well, polish is still on. I got SNS with tips and unlike my usual experience I didn't get any cuts on my cuticles from rough handling woohoo. This is partly because Sing didnt cut my cuticles at all but I appreciated that. My main complaint is the lack of cleanliness and there are no perks - no light back massage or friendly smiles lol. If you just want ur nails done well for cheap n dont mind a dusty, old looking space - no bells or whistles- then check it out. I will say I appreciate that they encourage making appts and dont make u wait. Huge plus. However, they get booked quickly so you should reserve your spot. read more

A little pricey, but they do my nails very well and my pedicure I like the atmosphere and the people

I went here on a day when there was a blizzard. My regular nail spot was closed and this was the ONLY one open nearby. Cindy did a full acrylic set, and someone else did my pedicure. This is the BEST full set I've had in a long time!!! What I love the most about Macro Rainbow is that they take their TIME. They don't rush through your job to get to the next customer, which I really appreciate. Will definitely return. Cindy is the sweetest! MAJOR SUGGESTION- Make an appointment or you'll be waiting! read more

I come for Cindy and no one else. It's a standard chinese nail salon. Everyone is rude. It's not orderly. No one is warm and ready to greet. Thats what you get when you pay under 10 dollars for a nail salon in Brooklyn, where nail salons are supersaturated. Cindy is amazing. Love her. But if she left, I'd have no problem never coming back there again. read more

My mom and i get our nails done here, and we love it. It's always busy so you need to make an appointment, but they do an amazing job with everything. I do acrylic with Sing and he clearly knows what he's doing. Such a hidden gem of a nail salon. read more

It's a nice, small place, people seem polite in there. My friend suggested me to try Cindy and make an appointment for her because she takes mainly appointments. So, I made an appointment for her and came a little bit late, shame on me, but she took me, did my nails with no rush and seemed to do it good. Very likely I am coming back there. read more

These guys do an awesome job. I made an appointment with Cindy, but she was not in so I got my nails by man (Don't remember the name). He made an incredible job. I fell in love with my nails. But they are extremely busy so it's better to make an appointment before going there read more

Great spot! Nothing too fancy in terms of how the salon looks and its pretty small. (Only 2 pedicure chairs, I think but could be a good thing for some.) I went in for a french pedi ($11) and the lady did a great job, very thorough and even did a parafin pedi at no extra charge. Im not sure but dont those usually cost more? I dont know. I loved it! Perfect, exceptionally neat, not rushed work and it lasted like 3 weeks or so! Topcoat super shiny and all. Def coming back again. read more

I went in today and luckily was able to go to Sing. I've heard good things about him and even though I've come in here before and received a nasty attitude I decided to give them another chance. I can not be happier. My nails look amazing. Exactly what I wanted. I guess some people write bad reviews because they came in at a time where everyone was busy but this place definitely was worth a shot. read more

They do a clean job on the nails but the customer service is horrendous!! Came here with my sister on a Tuesday afternoon and they were extremely rude to us and ignored us. Even calling this place is annoying. They could be a great salon if they knew how to talk to people. read more

Never stepping a foot in this nail salon again. So I come in before I have to go to work and I'm a regular client for Sing and when I walked in they were like sort of surprised to see me. I pick my polish and then I'm sit and wait (keep in mind I had a 10:30 appointment and I got there at 10:17). While I was waiting Cindy asked me what I was waiting for and then I told her I had a 10:30 appointment with Sing. So I go sit in the pedicure chair and someone did my pedicure. While I'm drying my toes the lady says only pedicure and I said no I'm getting a gel fill and she goes over to Cindy and tells her that I'm also getting a gel fill and she tells me they don't have time to do my gel fill. I was like how is that possible, like I made an appointment for PEDICURE AND A GEL FILL like I do come in every 2 weeks for the same thing why would I change now. Sing was clearly over booked but I had things to do and I had work right after and my nail fell off, I could not walk around with a missing nail for the whole day. He had someone else waiting for him and he was clearly telling me that he didn't have time to do my nails to take her. I was so frustrated at how wrong that was. Like I took time out of my day to come Here and this is what happens. I didn't even feel like it was fair to pay for my pedicure like what kind of bs is that. Long story short is the customer service at this place is horrible..not worth it. read more

Stepped in today, seeming as the salon had good reviews on Yelp and i needed to find a go-to salon close by. I guess it wasn't a busy time because i was the only client there when i came in. I got tips & a pedi done- the tips were done by Sing/Singh? Who is a total professional with nails. I love how they came out so i'm very happy. Pedi was relaxing & done well too- but i didn't get the name of the girl who did that job for me. Regardless definitely recommend this place and will definitely come back. read more

Horrible costumer service. I made an appointment and still had to wait almost an hour. The lady that did my mani and pedi was rude and I can tell that she was rushing the job. Don't come here. There are way better nail salons that would actually take your appointment seriously! read more

This salon is clean, and everyone is polite. My mani and pedi are gorgeous, sexy enough for me and corporate enough for work. But what impressed me most was when Ting (manicurist) called a customer to inform them that he was behind schedule and offered a later time slot. This is awesome customer service! Always make an appointment, because their schedules fill up constantly. read more

The best nail salon ! Love the quality of service ! Been loyal to them over years . highly recommended !

Best nail salon I've ever been too and I am extremely picky with my nails. I go to either lidyia or Cindy for gels and they've come out perfect every single time. My gels have lasted 4 weeks with no chipping at all when they're only supposed to last two weeks. They spend a lot of time on your nails and I never feel rushed! Must always make an appointment and way ahead of time because they're always busy read more

The most rude people. I walked in to get a manicure without an appointment at 9:30am. They all rudely stared at me and the lady at the front said "yea". I asked if it was possible to her a manicure, she stared at her book and said "no, no time". I never review anything but I couldn't let this one go. This place is also not very clean! read more

They do a good job, however, even if you make an appointment , they overbook and you have to wait. Also, the owner is getting more and more rude. He will tell you one thing on the phone, and then when you get there, its all different. People you wanted to do your nails are not there or are not available. And when you tell him that, he says " we r busy, what do you want?". He hires people that are slow and not doing such a good job. Not a good place anymore. read more

Hard to get an appointment, even when making one in person for a 2 week follow up. Yet I keep coming back because they truly make the best shape and it looks great every time. I wish they didn't charge $4 extra to use OPI colors (weird). But you could just bring your own polish and that works for me because I like the same color. read more
