When I say Vicky is the best, she is top tier. I've consistently done my nails for the past idr how many years at this point and no one has come close to Vicky's shaping technique (I get UV gel nails for context). I've outgrown the fancy designs, shells, crystals, gold foil, etc, and come to realize the ability to shape the nails perfectly goes such a long way. While Vicky is capable of creating the designs I coveted in the past, she is truly a master of her craft when it comes to shaping and UV gel technique. I kid you not, when covid-19 shut the city down, the UV gel on my nails would not budge for the next two months. I basically had to cut them off to remove them. I've followed her ever since she was at Glorious nails' old location to their new location and now her own establishment. To be honest, I've cheated on her a couple times because I don't live in the immediate area, but I always find myself coming back to her. Frankly, no one does it like Vicky does. read more

But then called me back 10mins later and she was able to fit me into their schedule. I did SNS gel with design and I LOOOVEEEDDD my experience here! Out of the 10 or so places I have tried from Long Island to Queens Area and now Brooklyn. I only get regular gel manicures and regular pedicures. I've been here a few times now. The quality of my manicure has been great every time. All my gel manicures have lasted about a month, no lifting and minimal cracking (I use white/pinkish colors) every manicurist I've had has been very attentive. They're mostly appointment only, and expect a little wait even if you do have an appointment sometimes. I have seen them squeeze walk ins when they're not as busy though. Make sure you tell them exactly what you want when you make your appointment. I've seen a lot of people get some amazing nail art done here as well. read more

I was going to the same nail lady for 12 years but when she was on vacation I needed an emergency appointment and called here because it's right by my house. Most important is that you get quality here, it's not a typical Chinese salon where they rush to get you out and on to the next one. Stay clear of this nail salon. First of all she is trying out new manicurists at our expense. I got a very bad infection on my thumb because the manicurist used the electric file tool down to my skin. I sent the owner a picture and all she said was "thanks for letting me know." I went back again to see if she was going to do the right thing and show good faith. After all they always say' "if there is a problem come back we will fix it for free." I went back, I had to take off the SNS because my thumb was bothering me, so I could soak it in salt water and put antibiotic cream on it. When I showed the owner she said "you will probably lose your thumb nail!" Very comforting, said nothing else. I had a pedicure and SNS again. I was charged full price, not a discount or a free pedicure to show good faith. Nothing. I understand things can go wrong, so in turn a business should make that person happy with some type of offering. To add insult to injury, when I left she ran out the door to me on the sidewalk and said didn't you like your manicure or pedicure? I said yes it was fine. She said then why didn't you tip her? I said I did tip her I left the money on the table, she said you did not! I walked back in and pointed at the table where I left $12.00 (the manicurist had walked away from the table). I just threw it there, very obvious 4 bills, it was not folded up or hidden under anything! Then she said I am sorry, I am sorry! Did she expect me to give her the tip when I paid for the manicure? then the girls only get a percentage? I have no idea what she does. When the girl damaged my thumb nail I left a tip, if I knew at the time what she did I would not have. They don't seem to understand a tip is at the clients discretion. Not the business owners. If someone actually does not leave a tip, she will chase them down and say something to them. Another bad business practice is 4 times when I booked, I cancelled the 4th one after this experience; I would say the date and 10 AM she would say okay, then say no 10:30. I would say 1, she would say okay then say no 1:30, 11? no 11:30. Not very accommodating. My friend called last week for this Friday, she said I want a nail appointment for myself and a pedicure for my daughter. She was told "no we can't do it like that?" No? I thought they were in the manicure, pedicure business? Today I texted to say I want to cancel my next appointment and told her why I was not coming back. That was 4 hours ago. Radio silence, not even an apology! So I took this to YELP to let people know my unfortunate experience. Lastly, I want to say just for the record most of her reviews are from paid reviewers, There is no way this place has these glowing reviews, perhaps the ones about her top manicurist Vicky are true, other than that I don't see it. If you look at the top of this page it reads 4 reviews. These are the only "real" reviews. I used to see Vicky for my nails when she worked at Glorious Nail, but then Covid happened, I had a baby, and Glorious Nail moved to Dyker Heights which is WAY out of my way, so my search for a new nail salon started. I am also complicated case becausie when it comes to nail extensions, I am allergic to acrylic and dip powder. After many epic fails (see my review of a nail salon a few weeks ago), I went to a beauty group on facebook to voice my complaints and someone informed me that Vicky opened her own salon, and it wasn't terribly far from me either. I called right away to set up an appointment, but as expected, Vicky was booked til God only knows when, so I asked to be put with anyone who is able to do a UV Gel set. I was booked with Ewa (I believe that is her name) and I am so, SO happy with the result. This may quite possibly be the best nail set I've ever gotten. Ewa was patient, took her time, and made sure every nail came out flawless. The pictures speak for themselves of the amazing work this girl does.
