It's disappointing to see how a company reacts (or doesn't) when you request a refund. I got a lash lift two weeks ago, and immediately reached out to request a refund because my lashes did not turn out lifted or curled. It's as is the person doing my lashes put water on them. I've sent countless emails to HQ, called this location and left a message, called HQ, and even DMed them on social media. The only one to respond was their social media person, with instructions on an email address to contact. No replies otherwise. They've officially lost a customer, which is disappointing considering I would have gone to them again in the future. read more

I cannot recommend Iris at NYC Sugaring enough! I went in for a Brazilian, and she was absolutely incredible from start to finish. ​She has this amazing way of making you feel completely comfortable and at ease the second you walk in. She explained everything in detail, which I really appreciated, but the best part was her personality--she had me laughing the whole time, which totally took my mind off the process. ​The results are perfect, but the experience was even better. I was excited to try Sugaring NYC because this location received such strong reviews, and I'm new to New York. Although the sugarist and salon manager were kind, the technique used was unsatisfactory. The hair was not removed from the root and was instead broken at a superficial level. I did not notice the unsatisfactory results until I returned home and was able to see the area clearly under bright lighting. At that point, I had to use tweezers and hard wax to clean up the area before leaving for my birthday vacation. Now, just four days post-wax, I am already seeing new growth and a visible shadow returning, which further confirms that the hair was not properly removed from the root. When I reached out to the salon, I was offered a $10 credit and told that they typically provide a touch-up within four days in situations like this. I'm disappointed by the limited resolution options provided. As a result of this experience, I will not be returning and will continue my search for a new sugaring salon. I usually don't leave reviews unless i have terrible service, but unfortunately if customers do not do this, businesses will never get back to going above and beyond for customers. With how much were expected to tip, we deserve better than just okay service read more

Full disclosure this is my own personal review and I legitametly was happy with my experience and it was quick and minimally painful so Olivia deserved a shoutout. She was super calming for my first time sugaring and explained the process, while keeping the vibes super chill. It was hard to find consistent reviews for any technician so I am glad that I ended up booking someone who has been there over a year and is a sugaring queen! I would definitely go back and see her due to her efficiency and attention to detail. Front desk staff was very kind and caring about being a first time customer and sent me tips via email on aftercare .
