Nani is the absolute best - my nails always look so clean and she is such a doll! Highly recommend.

14 hours after a pedi...BOOOOOO
Alero B.

After being let down numerous times, I became an avid at home nail tech. I'm very picky when it comes to my nails but decided to treat myself to a pedi after a hard day and decided to keep my standards relatively low...well boy did Park Slope Nails meet my low expectation. Total waste of $47. I got my pedicure at 2pm yesterday and I woke up @ 6am today chipped like I've never seen. The polish from one nail is completely gone. She clearly did not prep my nail beds properly. When I do my own nails I can leave that polish on for weeks without a chip. I purposely chose a better know brand thinking that would help but nope. One of my nails is slanted horribly and another has an odd shaped chip on one side. Never again.

In just one day my index finger was completely chipped. And then by day 2 the rest of the nails went

I've gotten my nails done here twice and I shouldn't have come back after the first. But it's close to work so I decided to give them a second chance. I paid $17 in total for a useless manicure. It's too much for the basic service and my nails ALL chipped in 2 days with one nail basically coming off completely on day 1. These pictures were taken two days after my manicure. Usually glitter polish lasts me forever and quite a pain to take off. I won't have to worry about removal this time... I don't even know why this happened. Old polish? Improper prepping? I've never had a professional manicure last so little. The first time I came for a manicure it lasted 2 days before one nail chipped but the rest lasted 4. And I remember I got a bunch of little bubbles all over my nails when they dried and I pointed them out, the owner said "that just happens". Yeah no it's not supposed to. I didn't want to start anything or be rude so I left but I'm definitely never coming back here.

Didn't know how to soak of gel polish. Used different files to get it off and damaged my nails.

The woman who did my pedicure did not clip my toenails to an even length. She offered to take off the polish and paint them again because the paint was thick and uneven. The second attempt was slightly better but there are brush hairs in my dried polish. They were unable to properly soak off my gel polish (OPI), attempted to electric file it off (but the woman doing the filing was clearly unfamiliar with and uncomfortable using the device). She wound up filing the remaining gel polish off with a hard nail file. My normally strong nails are now flimsy. They tried to convince me to stay to get my nails done but I was up front and stated that the poor pedicure along with the damage to my fingernails made me uncomfortable. Even after seeing the damage they did to my nails, they still charged me for the soak off! They seem nice but do not know how to do nails. Go at your own risk.

I was gifted a certificate for a manicure by some lovely people a month or so back, I finally came on Thursday to redeem it and I am happy to say that this place was awesome! The ladies here were so attentive and skilled. My manicure was done neatly and rapidly. The decor of the salon is wonderful and it is kept sanitary. They carry a wide selection of nail colors from brands like Essie and OPi. Very close to me so I hope to return again :)

What i got

So... my nail appointment was at 2 and i didn't get done until 4. All I wanted was a full set and a few designs. Simple designs. My nails were so uneven, I'm unhappy with the designs and they charged me $95 .... I can only laugh now. Don't waste your money or time.

I've been going to miGak for manicures for a while. All the nail techs have been great. I can never…read moreplan ahead enough to go to one person. At least 6-7 people have done my manicures. I tend to get 60-90 minute nail art, most found on Pinterest. The health of my nails is much better since I've been going to miGak consistently. It's my natural nails, no extensions needed. The polish and the removal do not destroy my nails like Vanity Projects and other comparable nail shops. Everyone is sweet. I book online at Vagaro. You do need to plan ahead. I usually book my appointment right after I get my manicure. I can usually go 4-5 weeks and I rarely have chipped nails.

This review is les than 5 stars not because of the nails but because of the poor customer service…read more I've had my nails done here many times and I've never had anything less than a great experience until today. My nails look great. The technician was wonderful. However, the woman at the front desk had a bad attitude and was not nice at all. She never smiled, I was not offered the opportunity to make another appointment after I paid, (which has never happened), and while I was waiting for my change, she was texting. I was standing right in front of her and she continued texting and didn't give me my change until she finished on her phone. That is very unprofessional. I don't know her issue but that is not how customers should ever be treated. Disappointing.

Beautiful, newish and clean (or so I thought) nail salon. I always pass by so I decided to stop in…read morebecause they offer structure gel. Service was friendly. The structure gel took a long time so I thought it was going to be perfect and last long. However the very next day (10/3) I got a big chip. Went back to fix it (10/4) and then the next day (10/5) I see that many of my fingers have small chips that are most likely going to turn into big ones. To top it all off my finger is swollen, red, warm and tender!!! The tenderness began a day after on 10/3, as if from an infection. But by 10/5 my finger was swollen as if it was going to burst and 10/6 the cuticle was filled with puss. They did clip my cuticles alottttt. Like first one lady prepped my nails and clipped the cuticles but then the lady who actually applied the gel did it again before she started. So I'm pretty sure it's from that. I wanted to love this place but I'll never be back. I guess that's what I get for trying an out a spot and not sticking with my old faithful and to think I paid $85 for this service plus a tip. Update: I went back today 10/6 and was refunded. They were apologetic but I still won't be back.

Angela was super sweet and expert, and the whole experience (organic manicure) was $30 cash, and I felt fab afterwards. Give it a whirl, and see for yourself!
