Ordered a smash double with cheese and grilled onions upgraded fries. The burger comes dry allowing you to add condiments- which I prefer - and it was far from dry!!! The burger was so juicy and tasty, the soft bun soaks up the drippings perfectly. Karina took my order directly and was cheerful and pleasant. You can order on a kiosk if you choose. The decor appears retro surfer/skater with spray paint graffiti. Definitely a custom commissioned art project - talented and tasteful. The dining room is air conditioned, the leather booths are roomy and comfortable, and great retro music. read more

You know it's going to be good when you see these baskets. Smashed in Burbank is delicious. First time here and I had my first ever Chopped Cheese! It tastes as good as it sounds, and huge. It's like if a cheeseburger and a sandwich had a baby. I do need to make a trip to try it in New York but for now this will do. Since I haven't had any other chopped cheese, I have no comparison for it but tasted delicious to me. I love a good hoagie roll. I tried my friend's Single Smashed Burger and it was tasty. I will say though that the patty was rather small, and therefore, I didn't feel that the burger ratios were right. Maybe a Double Smashed Burger would have a better bread to patty ratio. They use Martin's Potato Rolls, which I LOVE. Shared Smashed Fries, delicious. And ended the meal with Grandma's Chocolate Cake, a rich and decadent cake. I love Shake Shack and In-N-Out Burger. The burgers here taste as if the two had a baby. Only thing is I felt the burger fell a bit short of them because the ratios were off. I do think it's pretty cool that they use Halal meat, don't see this often. They also offer vegan options. I absolutely love that they show the calorie count on their menu. I would go out of my way to come here for the chopped cheese but I would only stop by for the burgers if I'm in the area. They are located on a street with a lot of other restaurants. There is free street parking. Service is very friendly. It's a quick service spot, you pay and grab your order. There is plenty of seating inside. The interior is very cute, it reminds me of a nostalgic high school vibe/aesthetic. The price of chopped cheese is fair, it's a lot of food, I could only eat half and saved the other half for later. However, the price for the burgers seem a bit high considering the patty is smaller. The fries and cake are fair price, good amount of food! There was no wait when I came on a Wednesday around 2:30 PM. read more

Was walking by with my friend and we just wanted to try this smashed burger place. I've been wanting to try it but just haven't had the opportunity to do so. The inside is really cool with lots of cool art and designs all over the wall. We got greeted right away and they took our order. We just split a single smashed burger. The burger was small but that's usually the case with smashed burgers. The sauce in the burger was so good. I will say it was on a slightly saltier side for me but overall very tasty burger. I'd love to come back and try out other items off their menu. The parking is local burbank free parking structures or if any open spots on SF road. read more

The food was pretty decent, but customer service was unacceptable. The cashier was a young woman named Jackie who was very passive aggressive, and messed up one of our orders. We asked for smashed fries and they gave us Cajun! I recommend ordering on the kiosk to the right, much more pleasant that way. read more

Customer service is outstanding I was thoroughly impressed by quality of service and patience of staff. Ambiance is your typical burger joint but very colorful and fun inside. The food is excellent, definitely need an upgrade to Cajun fries or smash fries to truly enjoy the meal. Price is my only thing keeping me from coming back sooner. Overall excellent and would return again. read more

3.5 stars to be exact. Family night out and we didn't know where to go, so we roam around in Burbank and I remember reading reviews saying Smashed burger is one of the best burgers in LA. So, I thought, let's go try it!! We walk in, no one is at the counter. We need to talk to someone before ordering anything about my daughters allergies and we waited. A line is building up behind us. Finally an employee came to assist. We ask about allergies, she has no clue. First thought - Time to leave this place, workers don't know and don't care. So I get into specifics, oils they use, sauces, etc. She get some info and then says "just don't add sauces to whatever you order." Ummmmmmm... Sauces usually makes the food much better. So we ask again if she can go find out... she walks away borderline rolling her eyes as if we are asking for too much. She comes back and we are in the clear to order. So I order the double burger combo, I order two fries, and my daughter orders a sing burger combo with bacon. She asks if she wants lettuce. So it's our first time, we have no clue what's in the burgers. We think it's a normal burger. Well you need to order lettuce. So I tell her to order lettuce for mine also. She repeats the order and only inputs the single burger and double burger combos, forgets the two fries. Finally we get it right, and awaiting to try this! Food comes out and the burger is the size of the palm of my hand. I didn't expect it to be that small, but whatever. I take my first bite, and I have to say it's GOOD burger! It's a very tasty burger! It's also very light, it doesn't sit heavy, which probably indicates that they don't use a lot of heavy oils. Had the fries, which we all agreed tasted good as well. Food was pretty spot on! I don't know if I would go to the extent of the best burger in LA, but I would say that it definitely is one of the better burgers I've tasted. So why 3.5 stars? Cause their service lacks heavily. When you see people who look at the menu confused and are asking questions, have a "let me tell you about your burgers" introduction. Put a smile on your face..? Maybe my expectations are too high, I don't know. If you care about customer service for the 5 mins you're going to deal with them, then it's a bit irritating. If you don't care about it, then go try this place. You'll actually really enjoy the burgers! read more

Horrible vegan burger. It's literally a store bought patty, cut into 1/4 sizes and then "smashed". I paid $17 for a burger and fries and could have eaten 3x the quantity I received and not be full. Super rude staff too. It was gross regardless. In short, this place is hot trash. Save your money and support better businesses that value customers. read more

Smashed Burbank - "Double" burger LOL. Super sad. - Burgers Near Me - Burbank, California

Single smash burger combo was pretty good. Not a fan of the micro charges though. Meal was small for the price. The menu stated 12.75 for single combo, ended up paying for $19.99 due to the add-ons and 4% card charge. Add-ons (i.e., lettuce, tomatoes) are typically standard items you would find in a burger, but this place charges $7 + 4% up charge for buns, meat, and sauce. Staff is nice. However, I would appreciate it if this place was more transparent with the pricing. There is 4% up charge if you pay with card which was not mentioned at check-out. read more

Had great expectations but it fell short. The burger itself was pretty small for a smash burger and the buns are ordinary. The fries are generous but the worst part is ordering cheese fries and biting into nacho cheese!!! I understand things are getting pricey but 3 combos for $60 is ridiculous. The location is perfect and the inside decor is very cool. No issues with service and wait time. read more

Smashed Burbank - SMASH DOUBLE with cheese fries and Cajun fries - Burgers Near Me - Burbank, California

Came here last night with my boyfriend because I was craving some burgers! We ordered 2 smash me triples (we did one as a combo) and I also ordered 1 single, as well as 2 whole jalapeños. All I have to say is that they were so delicious!!!! Honestly, I could have eaten 2-3 triples on my own. Next time I go, I'll probably ask if they can do a 4x4 LOOOLLL... The fries were nice and crispy, and the jalapeños were so bomb. We got some spicy ones and it just paired so well with the secret sauce. I'm not really sure how much the prices are for other "smash burger" places, but in comparison with in-n-out, I do think it's a little bit more pricey. However, for me personally, I'm willing to pay a little extra for the convenience that it's down the street from where I live, no crazy line, and equally delicious food, plus the jalapeños. Definitely will come back for more burgers, and dessert next time! read more

[3.9/5.0] Nice little burger spot in Burbank! Got the smash single, grilled cheese, and fries. The burger is very good, the burger burnt ends gave this burger a nice texture and smokiness flavor as well. Grilled cheese was also yummy, but nothing too crazy. Fries were not crispy at all (which im a fan of). I feel like the fries could've been fried another time for crispiness. Concise and focused menu as well. Good stuff! read more

Burger: 3.5/5 Fries: 2/5 Value: 2/5 The smash burger was good but was not mindblowing. I got the "Smash Me Triple" combo. The burger is your average smash burger. It smashed my wallet instead of my appetite. Value: 2/5 - The triple burger combo came out to a total of $19(!) dollars. Although the burger was good, I will most likely not return due to the absurd prices. Nor would I recommend it to any co-workers/friends. You would think a triple patty burger combo would fill you up, but for the average hungry person...you will leave feeling hungry and somewhat robbed. From pictures, the fries looked delicious but failed to live up to my expectations. Could be from ordering takeout but they looked like the twice fried fries. I opened up my box to find sad and soggy fries. I did like the restaurant. In the spirit of a full review, their ice machine had the party ice! A little consolation for an otherwise letdown experience. read more

On my first visit several months ago, I walked away after I tried the front door and thought it was locked. They have a pull handle for a door that didn't pull (you have to push), and they had no stickers (like they should) to say PULL/PUSH. I later realized that i didn't try to open inward, but I already had takeout from another burger place. I recently noticed they now have the proper door stickers, but as i was sitting waiting for my order, I noticed many other people trying to pull the handle. I love the interior design. It has an interesting retro look with a lot of classic/hip things from the good ol' 90s. The service, however, is always terrible (last 3 visits). They have some young kids working there who have absolutely no experience in customer service. They don't even give you a simple greeting. The food was decent, but WAY overpriced! The "seasoned" fries is barely seasoned at all... they just sprinkle a little bit of their flavorless red seasoning. All things considered, I won't be going here again. There are far better options not that far from it. read more

The Big Breakfast Burrito debate of who has the BEST Breakfast Burritos in Burbank, many will say Corner Cottage, personally I think they are way overrated. Well Smashed Burbank https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/smashed-burbank-burbank-2?select=72r5cZa4BFSNDGyEO4MCVA has come on the scene and has claimed "The Tastiest Breakfast Burritos in SoCal" with 7 different options! OK, that's a stretch, they aren't even close to being the Tastiest Breakfast Burritos in SoCal..... https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/smashed-burbank-burbank-2?select=WSxeKXyRQBMIAxoOaupJgQ So, I arrived not too long after they opened up in the morning and one of the Breakfast Burritos I wanted to try was "Rib-Eye Steak" they had NO Steak, the excuse was it's a popular item, OK you seriously didn't just sell out this AM before I got here, so who's the slacker in charge of ordering inventory? Breakfast Burrito Bacon ($7.95) https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/smashed-burbank-burbank-2?select=MiaXW3iuDajqhv1G9Ydztg Bacon, Eggs, Potato and American Cheese, a good size breakfast burrito and all the ingredients were well balanced https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/smashed-burbank-burbank-2?select=Puei400IgTEbHKEEvCj_Vw and cooked well even the potato's, pretty solid. 4-Stars Breakfast Burrito Chorizo *per menu ($9.95) actually Charged ($10.95) https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/smashed-burbank-burbank-2?select=6gFl-u67zgFsy4wIYk-9Hg Yeah, I've got a problem when menu prices don't match what's actually charged. Chorizo, Eggs, Potato and American Cheese, I'm not sure what type of Chorizo or who they get it from, but it really wasn't as flavorful as your typical Pork Chorizo, https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/smashed-burbank-burbank-2?select=c1_i7RNzyvOAnZ-YgFrrvg I also don't know why Chorizo is $3.00 more than Bacon! ((shakes head)) overall it was just OK at best. 3-Stars Salsa https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/smashed-burbank-burbank-2?select=_XRZtnrp5xhRFuiQmMA71w Just pitiful, you should be embarrassed to serve this GARBAGE! Food, well I'd say the BACON Breakfast Burrito IS better than Corner Cottage, but the Chorizo not! and drop the self-proclaimed Tastiest Breakfast Burritos in SoCal, you're NOT! Food is 3.5-Star Average but the pricing of menu vs actually charge is gonna cost you! read more

THIS PLACE ROCKS! I LOVE IT! If you're a fan of In-N-Out animal style burgers, you'll love this place too. Their default burgers are basically upscale In-N-Out animal style burgers. They're incredibly delicious and my mouth is watering now just thinking about it. Food is delicious. Service is friendly. Atmosphere is casual. My only complaint is the prices. Even though everything everywhere is expensive these days, the prices are ultimately high. I loved what I got but $10 for basically a slightly larger In-N-Out double-double is too much. I left hungry and kicking myself for not getting a triple ($13). If the store was closer to me and not so pricey, I'd be there all the time. They make really really good burgers. Try to remember quality over quantity when you eat there. read more

I had smashed cater my work event and the employees lived the services and the burgers. We'll be having then cater our event again.

It's all in the name, these burgers are smashed. Excellent and classic example of a smash burger. My only complaint about the burger is that it's a bit too soft. The bun, the patties, even the pickles somehow worked together to create a very soft consistency. My recommendation is to either get a slightly harder bun, larger pickle slices, or maybe crisp up the patty, because there needs to be a little variety in texture. The loaded fries are not worth it. The meat is unseasoned and not very good. The fries themselves are a bit limp and also fairly flavorless. read more

SMASHED WAS DELICIOUS! We were on our way to our hotel and wanted to grab a bite to eat before we checked in. We found smashed on Yelp and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. They had a lot of options to choose from. We ordered a smashed burger meal and added a second burger on since there was 2 of us. Burger was very flavorful, not greasy and was very fresh. The fries were equally as good and the ranch was SO GOOD! Service was quick and the restaurant was a cute vibe! We will definitely be back again next time we are in the area! read more

Prices went up since my original visit and since it was already on the pricey end, a bit tough to warrant the higher prices just a month or two later, despite rising costs as they were already charging a premium. The burgers were still good with extra cheesy bites since they use 2 slices of cheese in the double. The flavor goes well if you use the extra sauce to dip the burger as it can be a bit dry otherwise. Fries still on point and great for being fresh cut. While I did enjoy their breakfast burritos as a change of pace from another popular local spot, since they no longer serve breakfast, I'll probably be visiting them less since can't justify the cost with the other burger options around. read more

Stopped by with the hubby since we were in the area and man are we glad we did! These burgers are delicious!!! Yes the pattys are razor thin as another reviewer mentioned so when in doubt, order UP! I ordered a double patty smash burger and it looked like a thin single patty.. totally could have handled a triple patty on my own. Buns are soft and delish, burger toppings are super customizable (hello, grilled AND raw onions) Fries are bomb!! Comes with their own thousand island dressing. Apparently they also serve old fashioned burger pattys and vegan ones too.. but why!! Smash burgers are the best! They have a kiosk where you can order yourself if you don't wanna deal with the cashier. Some booths inside and a few tables outside as well. Music is pretty loud so if you're sitting outside be aware you won't hear them calling your name. Will be visiting again! read more
