Very good hamburger restaurant. The burgers are very tasty and the fries are excellent. We didnt order soft serve, but will do so next time we visit. The seating areas, both inside and out are comfy and the customer service that we received was extremely friendly. Plus, it is important to add that the prices, especially for food this good, was very reasonable. Ultimately, Smashed AF is a very easy recommendation!

Good smash burger, cheese, onions, thousand island sauce, fresh bun, not over priced since all other smash burgers are always more than 25$ for a meal. Your basic normal fries. Will be back to try out the soft serve ice cream

New to the block and it's another good smash burger place to hit up. Got two single smash burgers and they come with: Wagyu beef, onions, cheddar, pickles, and "AF" whiskey sauce, on a soft potato brioche bun. One burger we got as is and the other added jalapeño bacon jam for an extra charge. The burger without the jam is flavorful and the burger with the jam is EXTRA FLAVORFUL. Almost indulgent. The jam is loaded with bacon and not too spicy, slight taste of jalapeños but mostly on sweeter side. I also tried the fish and chips. Ordered take out so the fries were soggy on arrival but popped them in the air fryer and good as new. Skinny Hand cut fries with a good amount of salt and the fish was flakey and lightly battered. I really enjoyed the tartar sauce. I don't know if handmade but it tasted fresh to me and yummmy. They also have beer and soft serve on the menu but only for dine in :)

What a ridiculously hard business it is to open, and keep a restaurant running. My hat is off to any and all who try it. Smashed AF used to be the Auld Chip Shop. It was quite good, and a nice addition to the neighborhood, but unfortunately they didn't make it. So, they regrouped and rebranded, and now the same owners are in the burger business. The Beef Burgers and fries are great, but they also have Fried Chicken, Fried Fish, and Veggie Pattie burgers. And while it's not posted on the menu, you can still order their Fish & Chips. How's that for variety! Also, the service is very friendly and helpful. All the best to Smashed AF. If you're in the area, drop by and get smashed!!

A worthy successor to the Auld Chip Shop space, Smashed AF is a dope lunch spot. A bright, minimalistic aesthetic and punk touches (the logo, their in-house playlists) create an interesting style, service is excellent, and the food is bomb. I'd recommend deciding on your order before going in - there are plenty of options and add-ons, and a thorough scan of the menu might not be possible whilst you're craning your neck looking at the overhead board. We tried a bunch of stuff: a single-patty smashburger with jalapeno bacon relish, another single-patty smashburger with fried egg, a fried chicken smashburger, fries, two orders of whiskey sauce, and truffle mac & cheese. The smashburgers were delicious. The relish didn't add a lot of spice, though plenty of rich flavour. The fries were perfectly cooked. The truffle mac was creamy and tasty. The chicken smashburger was interesting and pretty good as well - they also do fish and veg. I didn't love the whiskey sauce, which was a creamy aioli - I thought it'd be a tomato-based BBQ-esque sauce. It enhanced the smashburgers nicely, but it was a bit too rich alone with the fries. We enjoyed IPAs with our meal, and we were thrilled with the "swag" they offered: a reusable logo takeaway bag, and dainty square branded napkins. They are sensitive to customer convenience: those little napkins, flatware, and condiments are available at every table, so we didn't have to ask for or wander around seeking out these items. The lady who took our order and served our trays was pleasantly jovial, obviously someone who loves engaging with customers and providing exceptional service. We were too stuffed for soft serve this time, but we'll be back to try that with our next round of smashburgers!

Burnt sandwich that I tried to eat but couldn't

We stopped by Smashed AF to grab two chicken sandwiches. The place was very clean, which I appreciated. However, both sandwiches were a huge disappointment--they looked nothing like what was advertised. WHERE IS THE QUALITY CONTROL? Both sandwiches were burnt, overly greasy, and soggy because the buns had absorbed all the excess oil that hadn't been drained off. Completely inedible--I might as well have just thrown my money in the trash. The fries were okay but leaned on the greasy side too. They should be ashamed to serve anyone burnt sandwiches! Definitely not what I was expecting.

Great food and great value! Smashed AF is delicious and surprisingly affordable. I feel like smash burgers are crazy overpriced these days but not Smashed AF! Their restaurant is clean and cozy. Plenty of seating and food comes quick. Ordering at the counter was fast and efficient with very friendly and chatty staff. I ordered my meal to go and it came in a cool re usable tote! Now the food: I got the filthy fries and a chicken sandwich. The sandwich was very juicy and crispy. Fries were cooked perfectly with a chopped up wagyu patty and sauce. I didn't love the pickles as they are very sweet so I suggest getting it on the side. Oh and Get the garlic sauce!! Thanks Smashed AF! I will be visiting again.

First time here!! This place is called Smashed * AF, not The Auld Chip Shop. I didn't try their burgers yet, because I saw the Soft Serve Ice Cream at the front, of course I had to order it!!! The wonderful staff behind the counter is soooooo nice. The soft serve tasted good. It's a nice casual place. They opened up 3 weeks ago. Today is October 10, 2024. According to the cashier, so far if you work for Disney and Universal (show ID), you get 10% off.

We walked past this joint looking for a burger and decided to try this spot. I ate the chicken sandwhich which I thought was okay. There were a lot of good elements but I found the chicken itself to be a bit gross. The texture was rubbery. The bread was nice and crisp and the chicken breading was crunchy (although meant for fish). The sweet potato fries were fresh and crisp as well. If I came back, I think I'd get the fish next time. Food was made quickly as we didn't wait too long, and service was good. They were patient as I chose what I wanted to order and if I wanted modifications. The restaurant was clean and pretty plain inside (although those white chairs are not incredibly comfy).

Delicious Fish & Chips!!!

At my brother's recommendation, I ventured over to Smashed AF in Burbank. And I was on a mission to test out, of all things, their Fish & Chips. There burgers look delicious and the customer next to me was enjoying his thoroughly. However, I'm here for the fish per my brother. The staff is super friendly and funny. The environment is casual and friendly for conversation. And now to the fish. The fish and chips are delicious. They are crispy and super fresh. The fries are all natural and have plenty of salt flakes. The ultimate test for me is the tartar sauce. And they pass with flying colors. The perfect amount of creamy, tangy and tart. Loved it all! And they have soft serve. Ask to make it 99! Or get a Guiness float. Yum!

I was looking for a burger place and I found a great one! Clean and the ambience was good. Open Xmas eve. The man behind the counter, who may have been the owner was very nice. The burger was very delicious!!!! A little high on pepper but also may have been the whiskey bbq sauce. Fries are not frozen and were crispy!

Dare I say the Bavarian pretzel was probably the best one I've ever had! It was piping hot, fluffy, and had delicious dipping sauces. I also got the brie and bacon jam burger, which was flavorful and cooked perfectly. My husband got the western burger and enjoyed it. We both liked the fries. Crispy outside, fluffy inside. My husband got a flight of beer. I'm not sure which ones he got, but he really enjoyed 3 and didn't even try to drink the 4th one, whatever it was. There were several others he would like to try next time we pop in. Overall, solid food and drinks, chill atmosphere, and reasonably priced.

The food had some highs and lows. The grilled cheese bites weren't what we expected at all, just a regular grilled cheese sandwich cut into small pieces and served with salsa. That said, the salsa was amazing and honestly saved the dish by adding much-needed flavor to an otherwise bland (though very cheesy) sandwich. The goat cheese salad was disappointing. It was overdressed to the point of soggy lettuce, and the portion felt pretty small for the price. On the brighter side, the garlic fries that came with the buffalo chicken wrap were incredible, full cloves of garlic and really bold flavor. Definitely the standout of the meal. The wrap itself was just okay: decent taste, but small and not particularly appetizing in presentation. Drinks were a win across the board. The guava strawberry cider was delicious, and the hazy IPA was also really enjoyable. Overall, there were some highlights, but not enough to make us eager to come back anytime soo

Like, actual choices, not just the sad "salad or fries" situation a lot of places offer. We only needed something to hold us over, so we kept it simple. It's like this event was made for me: First of all, it was close to home. Secondly, it was vegan. Lastly, no matter how much I was eating that day, I couldn't get full. This sounded like a good solution. Parking, the bane of any Angelenos existence, was free on the street. I was lucky and quickly found one on a residential street. I came a little early because, again, I was hungry. It gave me time to figure out by listening in to other newcomers that we needed to buy a ticket from the bar. The ticket also serves as a punch card because you only get one bowl from each vendor. It's also how you vote for your favorite because it has a QR code for that. Unsure of how things worked, I asked how many different types of chili I could try and was told "All of them." Not bad for $20 since I ended up eating 5 bowls of chili. The bowls are a little small, but times that by 5 and that's a lot of chili. I went from being so hungry to coming home so full. I wish they had given us a tray because what I wanted to do was have all 5 bowls in front of me, take a spoonful from each one, then make my decision on my favorite. What I ended up doing was precariously carrying 3 bowls on the first trip, finishing those off, and then coming back for the last 2. I was planning to eat outside, but the small patio filled up fast. I appreciate the fact that this event gave the bar a more family friendly vibe since people also brought their kids who were playing with the board games the bar had on hand anyway. This was my first time coming here and my first time going to a chili cook off, so even though I didn't stay long since I basically scarfed all 5 chili bowls down in a matter of minutes, I enjoyed myself.
