    Buffalo chicken sandwich
    Adam G.

Came here for dinner with a friend and the vibes were on point super chill atmosphere without being boring. We tried the lychee martinis (my first time ever having one) and WOW... they were so good and dangerously easy to drink. For food, I got the buffalo chicken sandwich with lemon pepper fries and both were absolutely bussin crispy, flavorful, and super satisfying. Shoutout to our waitress too because she was incredibly sweet and attentive the whole time. Between the great service, tasty drinks, and fire food, this spot definitely lived up to my expectations. I'll for sure be coming back!

A regular here. Our friend Johnny makes the best drinks on this strip, we love brunch here. The service is great, all the servers are nice & very friendly. The ambiance is great especially on the weekends & on game days. During the weeks it's more quiet which is a 10 if you want to grab a quick bite or drink without so much ruckus. I love this place.

This place is okay. We came here for brunch because they offer bottomless mimosas, but they weren't great. They're honestly just way too sweet for my liking. The food was also just okay. My toast was a bit soggy I feel like it just could have been better. I do like ambiance of this place though. It also has lots of street seating which is nice when you wanna enjoy the weather. Not too sure if I would come back, maybe I just need to try other menu items.

I went to this location for dinner since it was not too busy compare to the other places. They don't paper/ physical menus. It is QR menu which is fine no problem. I agree with other reviewers, service is slow in this location. It takes a while for somebody to come to take orders too . Maybe they are understaffed. Not sure what's the reason for delay. We had to wait for almost 20 minutes or more for two orders. We ordered a chicken Nachos and pizza. It Nachos were okay nothing special. They were like any other nachos. I had way better Nachos before. They have both inside and outside dining area. We sat outside since the weather was nice. Overall, it was a good experience for one time dining.

I visited Over Under Public House when I was visiting a friend who was staying in Burbank and while the food wasn't bad, it wasn't worth traveling far for. I had the steak, which was cooked decently but lacked the seasoning and tenderness. The burger was okay as well but I've definitely had better elsewhere. If you live in the area, it's a solid option, but if you're looking for top-tier steak or burger, you might want to look elsewhere. The atmosphere was chill and service was friendly, though, so it's not a bad place to grab a bite if you're nearby.

Ngl one of the best burgers I've had. My cousins and I came here after a day of work and I loved the food. We also got some lychee martinis, FIRE. The server was really nice to us and brought us our food when it was done. It was a cute little place, its chill nothing too special but it's the company that makes it special :)

Loved the vibes of this restaurant! Food was great and service was top notch. Our waiter even gave us a birthday shot on the house. Definitely recommend!

VEGAN FOOD!!! Again Jamie is amazing. Came here with five friends. Happy hour is off the chain. We sat outside. This time we sat outside it was beautiful. We ordered so much food. Everything we ate was amazing. The food is great. Service was amazing.

We were on our way to another restaurant across the street, but it was now closed for business. So glad we ended up at Over Under, they have a great menu variety. The menu is accessible through a QR code and at first we thought they only have "Shareable" items to choose from, but you need to tap the down arrow to expand and see all the food heading options. (It's hard to notice, in my defense LOL) After figuring the menu out, I noticed there was a Happy Hour menu (2p-6p) which had a nice selection of food and beer options to choose from with decent prices IMO. The food was so delicious, (mad I forgot to take pictures) the chicken had great seasoning. Service was good, no long wait to order and food came timely. Atmosphere was cool with many TVs and some bar seats to sit at and many tables for parties of 2 or bigger groups. First impression was good, so I'll definitely go back.

    Smash Burger and Cajun Fries
    Rafael B.

Burger and fries review! Smash burger 7/10 -the bun has good density but comes through as dry and brings the experience down. The beef patty doesn't conform to a traditional smash patty but more on the slider size. There is a beef flavor present but is overpowered by the amount of ketchup present. The cheese may as well have not been there as it only provided a small amount of texture but no flavor. I would compare this to a regular homemade burger and not worth the $15 price tag. Fries 9.5/10 -fantastic flavor and the dipping sauce had me eating on double time. The only complaint is the size of the fries are quite small kinda like what you find at the bottom of the fry container. Good crisp, Cajun seasoning is tasty, and the potato factor comes through strong. I'd come here for the fries alone. Service was attentive and friendly. Overall I'd come back but I'll probably look to other menu items outside the burgers.

Been here a few times now and honestly, it always hits. The food is super tasty and consistent, and on my last visit I finally discovered their happy hour deals! I made it in right before happy hour ended and still got to snag some of the specials. The $6 Maui-style onion rings were perfectly crispy with just the right amount of breading. The $10 Old Fashioned Burger is exactly what you want in a classic burger -- simple, juicy, and satisfying. Lastly, we couldn't leave without dessert... the 24K Carrot Cake was insanely moist, beautifully plated, and topped with whipped cream and caramel. So good! Service was just as great as the food. Our server (a super sweet blonde woman, wish I had caught her name) was on it the whole time -- friendly, attentive, and made sure we were taken care of, even while sitting outside. This spot is definitely going to be a regular hangout for my boyfriend and me. Great food, great service, great vibes, especially during happy hour.

    Cauliflower wings 6 piece

This place is ok. I was in the neighborhood, and I wanted somewhere to eat and enjoy the vibes. The vibes are ok. I order the Mac and cheese with chicken pizza, and cauliflower wings. The wings were big, and had a decent flavor. The pizza was so-so. The crust had a very crunchy taste to where it was slightly hard to chew, but like I said it was so-so. I ordered the lavender lemonade and my drink was amazing. It was sweet, not too strong and had a refreshing taste to it. I would just come back to watch any sports game and enjoy some drinks. Not so much with the bar food. Unless it's the cauliflower wings lol

We had two separate servers because one went home during the middle of our dinner and both were equally horrible. Not even exaggerating when I say we waited at least 15 minutes after we asked for the check and there were probably only 10 tables in the entire restaurant. And we had to call her back over to ask for a second time. SMH. The food although flavorful was so ridiculously priced it was not even funny. I got a "ribeye ". Was literally eight thin slices of steak, like 1" x 1" size for $42! No, I will not be coming back here for so many reasons. The view is great. Castaways is definitely not what it used to be in the way of quality but at least you get more and you get the view. But definitely not worth it going to this place. It was quite a frustrating evening. Also, if you do decide to go here, just bring a coat when it's a little bit cooler in the evenings cause it does get cold up here and getting the staff to manage the heaters correctly is a whole other frustration. Oh, and valet is your only option for parking up here. It's kind of crazy because a few years ago you could just go park in the lot or the garage that's available there but now they're charging you $11 and it's chaos. I will say that the view up here is great though so if you're willing to forgo all of that for a view for like a one time date or something like that, it might be worth it

Broken Compass Tiki is a pirate themed tiki bar in Burbank…read more They don't having a parking lot, but it was very easy to find street parking just around the corner on a Sunday afternoon. The front of the building is a little vaguely marked, and the entrance has speakeasy vibes, which was a surprise. Upon walking in the front door, there is some tiki décor and a small counter in the rear. I remember thinking to myself "what the heck, this is it?". I checked in at the host stand on the left, and was handed me a boarding pass. She then led us through a hidden door behind what looked like a shipping crate. We were now in the real Broken Compass. The interior is a good size. The two-sided bar seats around a dozen. There is a lounge side of the bar that has two large booths along the wall, and another area with comfortable looking couches and lounge chairs. The main dining room has some tiki hut booths, and two sections of tables with half booth and half chair. The décor is pretty extensive with a good mix of pirate, nautical, and tiki themes. There is a lot of bamboo, thatch, rope, cargo netting, skulls and skeletons, port holes, octopus tentacles, jellyfish, tiki lights, and more. The ceiling is dark with various nautical and pirate markings, and even tied up ship sails overhead. The tiki hut booths have the parrots from the enchanted tiki room above them. Even the two restrooms are nautical themed, with beach and marine sounds playing. There is a lot of great décor to look at. We arrived around 2pm on a Sunday, so it wasn't very busy yet. By the time we left a few hours later, it was starting to get busy. We decided to sit at the bar. We started out with the buffalo cauliflower ($14) for an afternoon snack. The serving size was generous, and the buffalo sauce had a good tang. It was served with some sauces, and was surprisingly filling. A nice feature of the cocktail menu is that each drink displays one to three compass stars to indicate the strength of the drink. Their cocktails use a great variety of liquors including ones you don't often see. Many of the ingredients are made in-house. I started out with Chupacabra's Vacation (Demerara Rum, Jamacian Rum, Pomegranate Reduction, Cinnamon, Lime Juice, Bitters, two-star boozy rank, $17). It is served with a flaming lime on top and a little fire show. It was balanced with a light booziness, some light pomegranate flavor, and a cinnamon sprinkle on top. She started out with the Bittersweet Paradise (Jamacian Rum, White Rum, Campari, Passionfruit Syrup, Lemon, Lime, Pineapple, two-star boozy rank, $18). It didn't drink boozy at all, and was passion fruit forward, with light bitterness. My second cocktail was the Bermuda Dune Buggy (Gin, Overproof Rum, Kumquat Liqueur, Cassis, Orange, Lime, Bitters, two-star boozy rank, $18). It had a very unique garnish of a Chartreuse infused gummy which was delicious. The drink was nicely balanced, and didn't really drink boozy even with overproof rum in it. They have a rotating monthly cocktail and she tried the Tropic Like It's Hot (Coconut Washed Lemongrass Infused Rum, Mango, Lemon, Coconut Water, Amaro, $17) which was created by one of our bartenders Daniel. It was served in a Spam can and was light and refreshing with a nice pop of fruit at the start, and a very nice coconut flavor. We enjoyed sitting at the bar and had great conversation with our bartenders Daniel and Monica. They also provided excellent service. Broken Compass supports payment with the InKind app which gives you 20% back (10% on Friday and Saturday) in InKind cash. We had a really great time here, and the drinks, food, décor, and atmosphere were excellent. I purchased a Hork (Horse-shaRK) mug for $50 to bring home as a souvenir. We would definitely return again when in the area.
