This place was right out of the gate (near gate B46/B45). They have a full sit in dining and a to-go area. Went in without any expectations. Barely made it on the breakfast cut off time and was able to get the bacon/egg/cheese sandwich. Boy this was so good. The egg was also well made to where the edges were crispy. It was also served fast, not even 3 min. Before I was done with the breakfast order, the cheese danish pastry was calling to me so I ordered it. It was satisfying. We ordered their main burgers as I wanted more: The double truffle mushroom burger. This one was very juicy and very filling. Love the mushroom. The classic grilled chicken sandwich was also very good as the chicken wasn't dry. Meat was soft and juicy. It was also very aromatic. Service was great and speedy!!! My partner attempted to order a specific burger and wanted modifications, but because of the amount of modifications our server Evette made him change his order to something else which he didn't want. I was impressed as I was going on my flight so yeah why not. when I touch my burger to pick it up, it was cold. I mean the bun was not even at room temperature, it was cold. first I thought, suck it up and get it over with, but then I changed my mind and called her and said it's very cold. she said, in a condescending tone, sir it was made when you ordered. I said, " ma'am it's cold". she said it's probably due to the vegs inside, I said ma'am, it's very cold and from the outside, she literally made a face and took my burger. this time it took few mins, and came back with another smash burger. this one was warm from the inside but again the bun from outside was very cold. how is it possible that a person who has to stand in line for several minutes, order food at a counter, then wait standing for a number to be called out for another 10 minutes, is charged $6 for a "service tip" on a $30 bill. I would never tip this business for their service when all that was done was cooking the food and charging me for it. What the heck? The best way to induce vomiting on a Friday night is to stop here while en route to your flight. Located by gate C50 (Southwest Airlines gate area) on Concourse C, Smashburger is among the last chances you'll get for a hot meal prior to your flight. For an airport location, this Smashburger franchise is unbelievably slow. Slow, slow, SLOW! 7 minutes to even get acknowledged (and I sat close to the kitchen area), and another 7 minutes to get a check. What is interesting is that I ordered an Avocado & bacon club sandwich, just to find that it was on top of a burger (club sandwiches usually are turkey, tomato, etc). I reluctantly agreed to eat it, given that I had to eat something before flying back to Dallas. Burger was slightly undercooked, yet I hardly had time to get another one. The saving grace may have been the rosemary fries with olive oil, and local IPA brew from Fort Collins for $8. Altogether, I'm out $22 for the night. This location could've been better. It HAS to get better. If I wanted garbage the next time I'm in Denver, I'll tip the men's bathroom trashcan over into my mouth rather than eat here again. read more
