The first floor came with a free first month. So, after agreeing to the lease and signing for it. We walked over to look at it and it was considerably smaller. I used a tape measure and measured it at 4'X5'. Way different size. The rep from Smart Stop said, "well sizes are approximate." So, I asked to see the other one on the second floor and it did measure 5'X7'. I changed to the one on the second floor since I really need 35 square feet. By trying to rent a 20 sq ft unit as a 35 sq ft unit, you are cheating the customer by 43%. Not honest and not a good way to conduct business. Be careful and walk the unit to make sure you are getting the correct size.

I understand that all self-storage places entice you with a low rate and then immediately start raising the rent. However, this place has been the most egregious. They raised the rent twice in 10 months for a total of 22%. Also, they don't have hand carts that you can easily use. You have to go and get some silly coin from the office and deposit it in some machine and then you can unlatch the cart. I will never do business with these people ever again.

If I have packages they already have them out for me to collect by the time I enter. Package notifications are sent via email, which makes it very convenient. No more stolen items!
