I never in a million years thought I would be writing a passionate review about a storage unit but here I am, ready to rave about this place! We are almost one month in to our four month rental of a large unit to essentially store the contents of our entire home as we are in between moves. Some words that come to mind when I think about our experience using this storage facility thus far are: professionalism, immaculately clean, friendly service, exceptional security, accommodating staff, ease of use, beautiful campus, welcoming and clean front office, super clean restrooms.....I could go on and on! I was very nervous about having to put our whole life in storage since I'd never used a storage unit before and was so overwhelmed. Everyone here made the transition so seamless and easy and I feel so comfortable coming and going, knowing our belongings are in loving hands and I will always be safe (and clean!) when I visit. The storage and location is nice and clean. Staff and pricing is unbeatable, especially they give military rate. The only reason I give it one stars, because I had to move everything out of the house to the storage by myself with a toddler at time. They recommend a mover named Norm (I couldn't recall his last name) and his assistant to help moving. I hired him and discovered he stole a lot of my things. I was really busy with my toddler and couldn't keep on watching him move my stuff, so he took advantage of me and being dishonest. I then reported to the management, they gave him a call saying he denied it. Of course, he's going to say no. However, ended up they do nothing about it, not even offer to look at the camera. I got no time to deal with it since my husband was deployed, so I let it go. Just beware not to hire the guy named Norm. read more

The staff went out of their way to assist me in preparing for my move as I needed to do a "live load" of a shipping container. When I ran into a little problem with the shipping company, the staff of San Clemente Self Storage was there to save the day. I have bee here for over 10 years. It was the best hands down. All the employees are top notch. What has happened lately is the silent partners have come in and are turning this place into a Corporate America type of business. They have ruined the family atmosphere. 10 years of my loyalty are going to disappear because of your implementation of new policy. SC self storage used to be special but now, no different than any other storage place. I'll go somewhere else now. Whoever offers me the best deal wins. The word is getting around town and will continue. I will encourage locals to pull out while you sit here and make bank on Marines and their families. The silent partners have ruined it for many. They are not so silent anymore. Before these people came in, I would have rated it 10 stars if possible. The staff is incredible! The people taking over are greedy housewives that have wealthy husbands and have nothing better to do than pretend they know how to run a business. Stay Away! read more

San Clemente Self Storage is one of the greatest businesses I have dealt with in the forty years I have lived in San Clemente. The facilities are clean and well maintained. I moved after 36 years in my house and dreaded getting a storage unit but as soon as I worked with Stephanie Thom (who works in their front office) I knew it would be a seamless and actually pleasant experience. Their prices are very reasonable and you can even leave a key in their office in case you lose yours! Stephanie helped me decide which size unit I needed and assisted with every step of the way including agreeing to meet the truck/driver that was moving my items so I would not have to be there when they delivered. You really can't beat that kind of service. Their website gives excellent tips on packing, moving and storing items as well.
