I was in the area with my hungry child. I used to loathe drive-throughs, but now carrying an enormous 1 year old around I loooooove them! It was Sunday around 4pm and it didn't look to busy inside and the drive-through line was quick. I decided to not order the 'kids' meal because I knew mister baby wouldn't eat everything so I opted for a chicken tenders meal we could split ;) For just under $10 we got several fresh chicken strips which weren't too fried, lightly breaded pickles, toast and a couple of choices of dipping sauces. We ended up having to pull up and wait for an extra 10 minutes or so for our one meal. It's OK. Mister baby was happy but I wondered if I should have just flexed my biceps and gone in with him. Kids eat free on Sundays! We went after grocery shopping. It was fast and fresh. I had a salad and the kids had a kids meal. My two year old loved the mac n cheese. It's good for a chicken joint. Slim Chickens has decided to throw its hat into the Kenosha Chicken Wars. They have a long way to go to try and separate themselves from the competition. Unfortunately today they didn't really do anything to distinguish themselves in my mind. In a 1/2 mile radius you've got Chick-Fil-A, KFC, Popeyes and Raising Cains, obviously plenty of other choices and outside of Slim Chickens having gravy, salad and a wrap option there's not much worth writing home about. Once the novelty of this being the new chicken joint to try out wears off they might now have many loyal customers given the stiff competition. However, it is worth trying at least once, then you too can pick a battle flag in the Kenosha Chicken Wars. read more

Great chicken tenders and sides! The wings are good too. Numerous dipping sauces to choose from. We liked the fried pickles and fried mushrooms. It was all hot and fresh tasting. They have waffles with chicken tenders on top. Grilled tenders are also available. Glad to have a Slim Chicken in the local area. We always go to the location in Fayetteville AR when we are at Bikes, Blues and Barbecue. Hope they add a Tulsa store. read more

Our food was so yummy and I was surprised to find I got a dessert jar free in the app for my birthday-So good!! I'm glad we came back, because last time we had a grumpy manager service us and it was bad. I have to say I just had the best customer service I've ever experienced in my 26 years of living. They got my order wrong and I went back around the drive through to get the right thing, not only were they apologetic but they throw in 2 extra wings. they weren't irritated they were genuinely nice about the situation. This place is very close to my house and I walked there today with my husband and 13 month old. We ordered a slim plate, chicks plate, and a kids plate. The dipping sauces we tried were honey mustard, spicy bbq, and gravy. Loved the honey mustard and spicy bbq and gravy is a little bland so that one was just ok. The chicken strips were juicy. The kids plate came with french fries which I wish I would have known I could switch out for apple slices. Customer service was awesome as we came in at a busy time and one of the young ladies saw us struggling with a stroller and a baby so she quickly cleaned off a table for us which was very sweet of her. Only negative were the French fries which I found quite salty and the fact that I wasn't told the was an option to switch out fries for apple slices on the kids meal. I will however be coming back more than likely. read more

Food is pretty good. The chicken sandwich is bomb and the waffle chicken is also very good. I never had chicken and waffles before and I thought it would taste strange but it works great. This place is a waste of time and money. First, the chicken was not fresh, crispy chicken. You can tell it had been setting around awhile. The chicken did taste alright though. The portions were small for what we paid for it, and the sides were mediocre at most. I, and a lot more people might agree that anyone serious enough about paying 10 bucks for 5 chicken strips and a few sides would probably not mind waiting for it to be cooked to order. It takes about 5 to 7 minutes. Even then, the portions are still to small. Moral of my story is that this food isn't worth the value. Go to Chick Filet or Cane's. All in all not bad, but not fantastic. It's fast food chicken, just like every other flavor in town. I did like the option of having more than one sauce and NOT being charged. Coca-Cola products will put this restaurant on my okay to eat at list. Had the 5-piece with honey-bbq and buffalo sauces. Again, not knocking it, but the sauces tasted just like any other chicken place I have dined at. Ambiance... overhead fans were blowing to hard, making it colder than it should have been, truly not enough seating. The line to order was constantly packed (good sign there), the order/number tents they give you are about the size of a bookshelf, could be smaller, aka Whataburger size, would be acceptable. Bright on the inside, tough to turn left when leaving the parking lot, too close to an intersection makes it difficult to go that way. There is ample parking for this location, just poor entrance/exit to the lot. Staff hustled, seemed to have good customer service. I will go back, and will consider it again when I am thinking of where to eat for lunch. So I give it a 4 star rating since the pros and cons are pretty much equal, though the pros, i.e., not charging for the sauces and coke products push my rating up one notch. read more

Hands down Slim Chickens tenders have much more flavor than Raising Cane's. Where they are lacking is the quality of their dipping sauces. While there are plenty of choices they all are either watered down or over sugary with a high fructose corn syrup taste. High marks for the chicken. read more

I visited this location 2 weeks ago and did not get what I ordered. Not only did I not get what I ordered but my food was soggy. This is about the 4th time I got an incorrect order. I didn't realize any of this until I reached work (I only work like 2 minutes away so not enough time for the food to go soggy.) I sent an email to their "customer service" expecting at least an email back with a sorry but after a week I never got one. I then sent yet another email saying it was my second email and still no "I'm very sorry that happened. I will speak with the store manager to address this issue with the staff." So now comes the review. Not only can they not take an other correctly but they will give you food (fries, fried pickles etc) that's soggy from sitting out too long and not even hot at that but their customer service is a joke and can't even apologize. For the price of their food it's not worth it. My husband likes their chicken tossed in honey BBQ that's the only reason I've given them so many chances. It will not be happening again. read more

Slim Chickens is very good. The chicken is better the competition. The fried Okra is cooked when you order it. I love that they have Coke Zero too. It might be a little more expensive than some of the chicken places close by but it is worth the extra few bucks. The service is good and the place is clean. read more

FANTASTIC!!!! Ok, this has been open maybe a couple of months at this point and it seems like the lot is ALWAYS busy and for good reason. I enjoyed a salad and the tenders now and I have to say... Haven't been disappointed. Alright, so to start off the wait isn't super bad even when they are busy. So we placed our order and the crew seemed really nice. The choices of sauce are awesome. The time I ordered the buffalo salad I got the cayenne ranch.... To die for. When I got the tenders I got that and the spicy BBQ... And again just the perfect selection. The chicken was insanely tender and lightly breaded. The fried were hot and amazing. Their coleslaw was rich and creamy and still had a great crunch. Then... I tried the Mac an cheese. My first and last visit. The couple across from us had a huge dog that was seated in the bench and eating directly from the table. It was not on a leash nor did it have on a service vest. It was free to move about when it's owner did. The counter assistance says it was a service dog, yet it showed no evidence of this nor did it follow any appropriate guidance. When we asked for a manager we were put in permanent ignore. I love dogs, think service animals provide invaluable roles but they need to be well marked and under no circumstances eating from the table. When the dog left, the table was cleaned like all the others. This can not meet the appropriate health codes. All customers deserve care. read more
