food - food was the best aspect of the restaurant experience. my mom and i got a zax pack, which she had got for the family before, but which now comes in a specially designed combo box with more slices of toast than before. i usually compare the food from the restaurant to that from canes since the latter was the first drive-thru specialty chicken restaurant i'd tasted. and though i still prefer the food from canes, zaxby does come close in all categories, and has a larger variety of menu items. lastly, i drank a brookshire brand dr. blast soda my mom had at her house for a bev, which was refreshing and fitting given the proximity of zaxby to the nearby reasor grocery store. that said, i'd tasted a lemonade from the zaxby before on a previous experience that was also good. service - my mom had trouble using the zaxby app to order our meal, with the order disappearing when she tried to place it. nonetheless, she told me the worker processing the order, sierra, was friendly and helpful, despite the restaurant getting several orders while she was clarifying the problems from the app. ambiance - while i did not go into the restaurant to pick up the order, my mom said it was clean when she went inside, and though the pick-up counter was rather busy, the seating area did not appear to be. read more

Their funnel cake is everything! it's small and you have to eat it fresh but it's so good. I recommend asking for extra sugar if you like it on each bite but it's really good as is. It comes with caramel sauce but I'm not a huge fan. I prefer to eat it as is. I'm not a huge fan of Zaxby's food but I definitely recommend this funnel cake. I've been wanting to try this place for a bit and finally did. I had never even looked at the menu, I just knew I wanted to try it, but I was so pleasantly surprised to see that they had buffalo chicken!!! I'm always a fan of getting to choose from lots of flavor choices so I was happy to see that they have that here with some of the menu items. I went with the blue salad... I think it's called a "zalad" here? I was pleased with it. Plenty of bleu cheese flavor (I could almost stand for slightly less - but to be fair my dressing of choice was also bleu cheese so...). If bleu cheese isn't your thing or you only kind of like it I probably wouldn't get this. I personally liked it though! The lettuce also seemed good quality and fresh, not just leftover bits and "end" pieces like some other last-minute-thought fast food salads I've had from time to time. Pretty good amount of chicken, and it was good as well. I was a bit disappointed though that even getting the salad with the buffalo chicken option I didn't get to choose a spice/ flavor level for the buffalo chicken - I think that'd be a good little thing to add! It is buffalo chicken after all, and people (me, it's me) love getting to customize what it's tossed in :) The overall portion was also good, but I do still think even all this in consideration the price was a bit high for the type of spot. No, it's not really full-on "fast food", but still mostly in that realm. It's not necessarily expensive per se, but just not comparable in price with other similar style places. We stopped in for lunch today at Zaxby's. It was my first time in, so I wasn't sure what to order. My friend suggested I try the boneless wings, so I did. I also ordered a salad and a drink. Everything was really good and I enjoyed all of it. The salad was really large and it was fresh and wholesome. The wings were outstanding. I had the bbq wings. The restaurant was very clean and the employees were nice and helpful while I was ordering. The place was really busy, but we got our food pretty quickly. I think I will try their chicken fingers next time because that is their specialty. Their prices were very reasonable for the food provided. Also, their is plenty of parking all around the restaurant so you dont have to worry about that. I will definitely go back again to Zaxby's, you should give it a try too. read more

We love this location of Zaxby's. It is pretty standard, but we feel like this one has the friendliest employees! Also- the tea is so yummy. They also host several activities for the family like a luau, meet up with Santa and so many others. The interior is always clean and well taken care of. If I had one complaint it would be that the parking lot and drive-thru is set up a little wonky. read more

The slaw was very cabbagy, needed to be more slaw like, I didn't like it much. Crinckle cut and nicely fried with season salt. Texas toast thick and pretty good. Sauce tasted like French dressing. I had never been to a Zaxby's, as they're somewhat new to my area, but checking out their entry in the sandwich wars seemed like a good excuse. And I'd certainly seen enough buzz online to have high hopes going in. But after trying the Signature Chicken Sandwich, I have to say that as far as Zaxby's is concerned, the Chicken Sandwich Wars are indeed over and they have met their Waterloo. Well, I don't think I'm a Zaxby's convert at all. The filet was good quality and surprisingly not greasy. I didn't feel any need for that "sleep off the heavy meal" nap. The texture of the coating was pretty good - it was less crumbly than Popeye's. But that's about all the love I can give it. First, the thing is DRY. That's the flip side of "not so greasy," I suppose. But it also tasted rather burnt. Between the dryness and the bitter, burnt taste, I wondered if they had left the filets in for too long. The Zaxby's signature sauce barely made an appearance. It's put square in the center of the bun and only provides thin coverage of about 50% of the radius. If you're going to give me dry chicken, Zaxby's, I needs me some sauce. I couldn't tell you the flavor of it, because everything tasted burnt at that point. And I did a little research and figured it out: Salt. Each sandwich has more than an ENTIRE DAY'S recommended sodium. They literally put so much salt in there that the bitterness of the salt makes the sandwich taste burnt. And the pickles... well, it's nice of them to give me 3, but they are overpowering. When I had a bite with pickle, the only flavor I got was pickle. Sadly, that made it the most pleasant part of the sandwich, but still... And at at least $1 more than its competitors, I can't say recommend the sandwich. Popeye's, Chick Fil-A, heck... I enjoyed the McChicken more than this. I just can't see me going back there. I'll stick to Raising Cane's for chicken fingers and other chains for my fried chicken sammies. However, the online ordering process was trouble-free and the people working the drive-thru window for pickup were fast and friendly, so each gets a star from me. But when the actual product is that bad, that's all I can do. read more

I would take a picture of my lunch if I still had it. This place is absolutely amazing! Great food and friendly staff. Talk about fast service. Of course I went after the lunch rush. If you have the opportunity to try their amazing chicken and french fries. The seasoning is outstanding and the signature sauce is equally as amazing! The drive through staff was clean polite and looked happy to be there. As for pricing. Very reasonable. I got 3 fingers with fries, toast and drink under $7. Note to the Manager: The young man working the drive through represents your restaurant very well. It obvious that you're doing a great job at placing people in the right position. My husband and I tried Zaxby's today and it was amazing! It definitely surpassed Raising Caines when it comes to a Chicken Fingers house! When you go in there are so many choices, it's easy to feel overwhelmed. I chose the Zax Snack Pack which is three chicken fingers with fries and toast for only 5.99!! I noticed that there were many other choices on the menu here such as salad, grilled chicken, and sandwiches. My husband chose the six fingerz platter which comes with fries, slaw, and toast. Our meals both came with drinks. There was a soda machine where you could customize your own drink. I chose Dr Pepper. He chose cherry vanilla Dr Pepper. I will say that this place gets packed quickly and the service can get a bit slow, but for such a new place; that's to be expected. Can we talk about the chicken? The best chicken ever!!!!! It's flavorful and crunchy from start to finish! The fries were well seasoned and crispy. Everything was excellent! The service was fantastic and we both enjoyed a great lunch. We will back for years to come and anyone who hasn't tried the wonder that is Zaxby's, please go yourself a favor and try it. You'll be glad you did. read more

This was my first time here. I'm not a big fan of places like this and Raising Canes (just personal preference, nothing serious) but it's what my kids wanted and it was on the way home. I ordered the cheese bites and I was pleasantly surprised that they were as good as they were (didn't have high expectations though either). I meant to order ranch instead of the customery marinara they give you, but I'm glad I didn't because I liked their sauce. I wanted to try a bite of one of the kids chicken sandwiche but they literally inhaled their food... Wow. What a disappointment! We stopped while out Christmas shopping.... and should have turned around when the place was empty in the middle of lunch time. I spent over $12 for boneless chicken wings and onion rings....not even a drink. When my food came (and yes, we waited) the chicken was soggy and barely warm and the onion rings looked beautiful, but were stone cold. We fancy ourselves as total connoisseurs of chicken fingers, and we try to stay up on who in Tulsa has THE best ones, and it seems everyone always tries to steer us towards Cane's which we've had numerous times (and the are pretty damn good), but after we totally killed a 4 pc. dinner from Zaxby's (complete with Texas toast, cole slaw, fries, and Zax sauce), all that comes to mind is.... i went to the first location a year or so ago & wasn't as impressed. what first came to mind is the comparison between them & cane's. i went on to give them another chance & that's when i came to this location. this time around, it was a tad bit better, it's just not up to par. i had the chicken fingers & had them tossed in hot honey mustard. it was really good, i'd pick that over having them regular & just dipping them in the zax sauce. as for the fries, it wasn't anything to be excited about. they're big crinkle fries (bigger than cane's at that) & that's all there is to them. i use the zax sauce for that, i also use the zax sauce on the bread (don't sleep on that). all in all, it's hard to keep away from comparisons. if i had to choose, it would be cane's over zaxby's. that's not saying zaxby's isn't good, it's not at cane's level. read more

0 stars on today's visit. I was charged a fee for zaxbys sauce which I never even got. You know if you're gonna steal money from your customers and put it on the receipt at least don't make it so obvious so that you'll get caught so easily. Anyways, hope someone from corporate sees this and investigates this instance. If it happened to me, fair to assume it's happened to others as well. This place had good food but the customer service was pure garbage. The girl in the drive thru needs some real customer service lessons.

Food is alright but staff is awful. Took over 30 minutes just to take my food order when there was only one person in front of me. She just stood and talked. Every now and then she would look at me and notice my frustration. I go to a fast food chain I expect my food to be somewhat fast. After I ordered and my food was ready she called my number and slammed my food so hard on the table my Togo box was cracked and smashed. Dined at Zaxby's for the first time. The chicken was amazing hot, the fries salted and hot, and the Freestyle coke machine is awesome. The sauce the three distinct flavors on my tasting. It was a sweet, another flavor then a Smokey flavor. Of Cane's and Chick-Fil-A Zaxby's was my least favorite sauce. So, finally tried Zaxby's today. We fans of Raising Cane's Chicken but, we thought we would give this place a try today. I don't have much to say other than I like their coleslaw. The chicken tenders were very salty and unremarkable. The breading was not crispy at all and tasted like it ha been fried in old cooking oil. I went here for lunch right before the home and garden show. The staff were very friendly and nice. There are many choices for sauces and drink options. The food was hot and well cooked and the salads are fresh. The food was brought to us shortly and in a nice manner. I got the 5 piece boneless wing meal in tongue torch sauce. It is definitely worth the $5.99 you pay. I would go here again, especially with some friends. I give this place an absolute 10/10 overall. I always come here at least once a week for the salads and the Big Zak Snack. My friends and I sometimes go here to talk and chill and it's one of the best spots. The environment is always friendly and the lobby is usually quiet and peaceful. The customer service is great, i've never had an issue. The staff is very kind and does their best to make sure the customers are welcomed. I can say this is in my top three go to places if i'm ever going to eat out. My favorite meal would have to be either the Zak Snack or the House Salad. But the meal that blends so well with the Kickin chicken has to be the Zak Sauce. Probably the best sauce I've tasted from a fast food restaurant. But one can never go wrong with their wings or anything on the menu at all for that matter. To top it off the food is literally never cold and always as fresh as can be.
