If you're looking for some good down home fried chicken, this is the place. We've patronized this establishment quite a bit and have never had a bad meal. Their chunk dinners are filling, tasty, and priced right. The chunks are breaded white meat, the mashed potatoes are pretty good. Their coleslaw, although a little runny, is damn good. It's chunky coleslaw with a bit of sweetness added. Their rolls are almost the best part of the meal. I was in Coweta to pick strawberries. Afterward, I stopped by Roy's Fried Chicken for a bite due to high recommendations. Apparently, this chicken place is popular around that area. One good thing about Roy's Fried Chicken is the quantity of their dinner entrees. The dinner box came with 3 pieces of fried chicken, 2 sides, and 2 dinner rolls, a lot of food. The mashed potato and gravy and cold slaw were great. I would like the dinner rolls to be warmer as they were cold. And the fried chicken? They were okay. To call them the best fried chicken would just be plain wrong. They were not even close to being the best fried chicken. The batter was just too thick. I felt like I was eating the batter from fried chicken bought at a supermarket, a little hard and thick. Roy's Fried Chicken is fast food, similar to Church's and Popeyes. Service is quick and the place operates like a fast food fried chicken franchise. I went for lunch and I was pleased. I love fried chicken and I like to try find great places locally. Service: fast, friendly Atmosphere: very clean with plenty of seating. Food: I had 3 pieces of dark. It was very good. I prefer a spicy chicken but this was not spicy at all. It was still very good. I had green beans and potatoes and gravy. Both very good. Roy's is located where the Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant was in Owasso when I moved here in 1984. When they moved to 76th St Larry's went in there. I've been to Roy's twice in the last month and I'm here to tell you that the 3-pc dinner is well worth the price. They don't have any where to sit inside so it's a drive thru facility. When you pull up to the 1st window they take your order, then you pull around to the 2nd window to pay and pick up your order, and they don't waste any time getting you fixed up. My previous experiences here have been okay. Today, however I was greeted by a very rude lady at the window. Worse yet the full box of chicken she gave me was hard and dry. I'm very disappointed in not only my experience today, but the quality of food. Maybe instead of serving dry food for full price you should throw the old dry pieces in here and there for free. Update: tonight I tried the chicken fried steak at the Jenks location. It was not flavorful. Pretty bland. I can't put my finger on it but there is just something missing. Drove through and picked up two of the 8 piece chickens. It was great and quick. We had dinner that evening with 4 of us, and still have had leftover chicken for three more neals Saw they have (when available) cold chicken. We will check this out later for sure. I lived in Coweta and have always loved their chicken. Tonight I drive over from out of town because my husband wanted chicken livers. I call in my order so we wouldn't have to wait. I pull up in line then have to repeat my order to the girl outside who apparently did not hear the order for a pint of livers. So, I drive all the way home and what do you know, the one thing I went there for was not in our bag! I call and ask about the livers and I'm told "we'll you weren't charged for them". Really, that makes it better!? Then I go to pick up the container of baked beans and the container is so flimsy it just dump the beans into the floor. Been coming here since I moved we got the 9 piece chunk with a side of mash Potatoes and Mac and cheese. The chicken is always good and the potatoes but don't order the Mac and cheese it's fake cheese and rubbery other than that was all delicious. Bathrooms were nice and warm which I didn't expect coming in from the cold, it was so nice because I was freezing so thank you to those employees today they're decoration is quite cute throughout the restaurant with a lot of barn tables to eat at besides booths. read more

Best fried chicken I've found in years! Hot, crispy and very juicy. Unlike KFC or Walmart's rotisserie chickens, these aren't teeny tiny chickens either. The chicken skin appeared to have a good crust, but I think they hold the chicken in a steam warmer as the crust was flabby and doughy. The other scenario is that they poach the chicken before breading it and frying in the deep fryer. Boo. Disposable cups/plates and dinnerware. The plastic fork is very flimsy--forget about tackling that chicken with a fork! It's a no go. The restaurant is spacious, clean and inviting. Their drive through service is fast even though there always seems to be a long line. We were there at 2PM, and there were 8 cars in front of us. The line moved quickly. We took home a couple of tasty three piece dinners and some extra sides. The ladies working the drive through window are super nice. The food is made fresh, which is a huge plus for me. The food is very good, but if I'm being honest I was not blown away. It is very good, but it's still just chicken. Ok, so like they need to open up this place all over oklahoma! Pure legit chicken , awesome mashed potatoes, and the best coleslaw in town! The cobbler is hands down just amazing! Throw some bbq sauce or ranch on those chunks.. oh my... The 4 chunk is just what you need for lunch, but if you are hungry the 9 will work just right.. or split it with a friend..
