When it comes to food, one of the top things that makes me happy is when a food truck transitions into an official physical location. Ruth's Chicken accomplished that recently & with the highly anticipated physical location (while being a highly sought after food truck), I finally got to check them out without it having to be their food truck. The Pearl District is growing with retail & restaurants and don't seem to be slowing down any time soon. I went with their two tenders combo. The combo included fries & a drink while the tenders originally come with sauce & bread. Just like their food truck, the food still comes through with the goodness. You can choose your spice levels, I went with spicy. The thing the tenders & fries have in common (outside of being good) is that they're well seasoned. Another thing they have in common, I can enjoy both without the sauce. The sauce doesn't hurt though, don't let it go unnoticed, I cleared it out with my tenders. There can be a wait at the food truck (which I don't mind ever), there wasn't much of a wait here. I also got there at the right time as people started coming in, causing a mini rush for the staff. I'm happy Ruth's Chicken is here. Black owned. Family operated. Prime location.

The service…read morewas fast, my order was accurate, the chicken seasoning and the sauce tasted good, and I love that there's vegan options. I ordered the vegan sandwich with vegan lemon dill sauce and spicy fries. I went with mild, but had a difficult time deciding between mild and medium. Mild had spice and heat, but it was was less spicy than the spicy fries (which were quite spicy, in my opinion) and I'd like to try medium but I'm hesitant because from photos and videos I've seen, it looks like there's a huge jump between mild and medium. My only complaint is that I found it confusing to decide which heat level to get and what the sauce situation is. If you order a side of fries, I believe it comes with a sauce. But if you order a sandwich that comes with a side and sauce, it is one sauce total (not the sauce that's part of the side plus a separate sauce). The sauce gets placed on the sandwich (a little bit on the top bun and on the bottom bun) and it kind of blends into the flavor of the sandwich. Next time, I'll know to pay extra for an extra side of sauce so that I'll be able to have some to dip the fries into. They had packets of ketchup available on the counter and I used that this time. In my photo, the "chicken" looks small, but I assure you it was large enough and filled the bun, it just got shifted during assembly and I didn't think to straighten it out before taking the photo.

We went for a late lunch on Saturday and there were a number of people there, along with a couple of fur babies as they're dog friendly (they haven't met our dog)! I ordered the Tulsa Two Step as I like tequila-based drinks and my wife got the Rise and Shine. Both were excellent, as well as unique. She was worried that it might be too sweet, but said it was perfectly refreshing. We split the nachos with blackened chicken and they were some of the best nachos I've EVER had, and I'm an old-fart native! The combo of their great queso, the house-made chips, and the blackened chicken was P E R F E C T I O N!! We WILL return, and once again, I'll TRY to remember to take pics beyond the cocktails....

I was very impressed with the simplistic menu and options as well as the Christmas decor that just made you feel like you were in a Christmas movie in the 1990s. It was cozy. It was welcoming, and it was warm in a multitude of ways. The coolest part about the experience is that you can just order from the table using a QR code and it just comes right to you without there having to be a lot of back-and-forth on the menu choices and making decision before waiter. Would recommend this place to anybody

I wasn't able to find many photos of the place and wasn't sure what to expect. We walked in and discovered they serve "buffet" style similar to Nelson's. She ordered the smothered chicken, and I had the smothered pork chops. They had quite a selection of sides, yet somehow we both got mac n cheese and broccoli rice casserole. This never happens as we usually coordinate and order different items just to try more things. Our meats tasted great and were super tender. The mac was flavorful, and the casserole was good, but a little too mushy for my taste. Let me know if you've been and what you thought of it. And if you haven't, go give them a try and support a real local restaurant.

I went on a Sunday after church so, of course, it was packed, I saw cakes, banana pudding, and deserts galore in the fridge. The menu was decked out in a nice font on the right side of the wall and the sides were in front of you and continuously being refreshed. The staff was amazing and handled the huge crowd in the restaurant with grace and smiles, even making recommendations on items to order. I ended up with the catfish, mac and cheese, and collards. I got my order to go and it was still hot after the 20-minute ride to my hotel. The seasoning on the fish was A1 and it had just the amount of crunch needed if you are in the city GO TO THIS PLACE.

Oklahoma seems to have a certain pride when it comes to burger joints that keep it simple. Tulsa…read morehas many chains, local restaurants and pop-ups that are familiar and filling. Encroaching on a seemingly crowded market can be tough but somehow Howdy feels like an already-established diner. While many newer burger places attempt to overwhelm the consumer, Howdy Burger's approach seems to be keeping things simple and delivering what the people want while staying true to the "burger joint" identity. I've had Howdy Burger 2 or 3 times through the years. My first visit was likely in/at Mother Road Market but a more recent visit was on October 29th (2025). In the midst of an economic stall (the federal government was shut down for 4 weeks at that point), eating out seemed like a luxury. I visited around 2pm for lunch. The weather was chilly and the staff was readily available. I was greeted and I browsed the menu for about 2mins before ordering. I ended up getting a single burger & rodeo fries. Afterwards, me & the lady cashier had a brief conversation about the state of the world as business was slower than usual. The restaurant isn't huge but it was well maintained. I sat near the West windows and the food came out shortly after. The highlight of the food was easily the burger itself. It was a decent size, the bread was soft, and the patty was just thick enough. Each bite was equally satisfying as they didn't hold back on the toppings. I will say that the fries are pretty standard, even with the extra toppings. I don't think the Rodeo Fries are worth wild but it didn't hurt to try. Lastly, I LOVE the variety of sauces they offer and the staff are happy to add them directly onto the sandwich or place them on the side. I've since returned to have the Fried Chicken Sandwich and it was just as good, if not better, than most famed chicken sandwich spots. I wasn't familiar with Howdy for a while and, as mentioned, there are many other places to get a cheeseburger, sandwich and/or fries. But what I like about Howdy is that they don't try too hard, they know what sells and they offer great service. Considering the price, consistency in their products and good people behind the counter, Howdy Burger is good enough to replace your favorite burger chain and/or fast food spot.
