Definitely one of my favorite burgers in Tulsa. Make sure to add a fried egg on your burger!

Traveling through Tulsa and found this burger joint. Decided due to the ratings and the fact that it had a drive-through that this is the stop for us today. We decided to eat in the parking lot as it's much safer than driving and eating. However, with the option of people watching that also was a deciding factor on why we should park and eat. There is a nice view of the city, skyline and interesting lights and various different people in the area. Would recommend the chicken sandwich combo, however, would probably recommend to request the mayonnaise on the side as it definitely was seeping out the bottom of the sandwich and the napkin was much needed. Disappointed they did not have french fries so we were not able to try them, but they substituted onion rings and the tater tots which both were good. Tater tots could've probably use some seasoning or salt however they were cooked perfect. The staff was polite and helpful. We can definitely see ourselves stopping here again. read more

Oklahoma seems to have a certain pride when it comes to burger joints that keep it simple. Tulsa has many chains, local restaurants and pop-ups that are familiar and filling. Encroaching on a seemingly crowded market can be tough but somehow Howdy feels like an already-established diner. While many newer burger places attempt to overwhelm the consumer, Howdy Burger's approach seems to be keeping things simple and delivering what the people want while staying true to the "burger joint" identity. I've had Howdy Burger 2 or 3 times through the years. My first visit was likely in/at Mother Road Market but a more recent visit was on October 29th (2025). In the midst of an economic stall (the federal government was shut down for 4 weeks at that point), eating out seemed like a luxury. I visited around 2pm for lunch. The weather was chilly and the staff was readily available. I was greeted and I browsed the menu for about 2mins before ordering. I ended up getting a single burger & rodeo fries. Afterwards, me & the lady cashier had a brief conversation about the state of the world as business was slower than usual. The restaurant isn't huge but it was well maintained. I sat near the West windows and the food came out shortly after. The highlight of the food was easily the burger itself. It was a decent size, the bread was soft, and the patty was just thick enough. Each bite was equally satisfying as they didn't hold back on the toppings. I will say that the fries are pretty standard, even with the extra toppings. I don't think the Rodeo Fries are worth wild but it didn't hurt to try. Lastly, I LOVE the variety of sauces they offer and the staff are happy to add them directly onto the sandwich or place them on the side. I've since returned to have the Fried Chicken Sandwich and it was just as good, if not better, than most famed chicken sandwich spots. I wasn't familiar with Howdy for a while and, as mentioned, there are many other places to get a cheeseburger, sandwich and/or fries. But what I like about Howdy is that they don't try too hard, they know what sells and they offer great service. Considering the price, consistency in their products and good people behind the counter, Howdy Burger is good enough to replace your favorite burger chain and/or fast food spot. read more

Gluten free review: This place has celiac safe fryer for french fries. They are knowledgeable about celiac allergy. They have both a gluten-free bun or a lettuce wrapped burger. The gluten free bun is Udis I believe, but they warm them with the burger so it taste fresh. I would recommend a double or triple Howdy burger add egg or bacon. We are here early/late at around 5:00 p.m. it's our first time. We told our cashier Isaac that and he was very accommodating. He told us all about the menu and all of our options. He let me try the lemonade before buying. Which by the way is very good. It's very bright inside. Yellow tables and black chairs white walls but absolutely no decorations on the walls. Zero. Rock and roll music on the radio much better than Christian music. Omg! This burger. It might be the best one I've ever had. Definitely the best one in Tulsa so far. If you like the burgers here and you ever make it to New Orleans you have to try turkey and the wolf. This place is great. They even have tater tots at Patty's. They're okay. Stopped in this classic burger joint for lunch while attending the 100th anniversary of Rt 66. Was greeted quickly and friendly by Tristan. Was given a recommendation for the double patty cheeseburger with the Rodeo sauce with side of fries. Made fresh & delivered to our table with a smile. We had a coupon which we've been meaning to use for a long time. We finally did it today. The burgers are good. Their signature is Rodeo sauce, which is ketchup, mayonnaise, and pickle juice. I'm not a big fan of ketchup and mayo on burgers, so I asked for mustard. Dan tried the rodeo sauce. I had a bite of his burger and it tasted ok. The fries were fresh and crispy. What I liked best was the bun. The bun is an underrated part of a hamburger. In my opinion the bread can make or break a burger. It's a small fast food restaurant, decorated with bright yellow tables. The service was excellent. We got 20% off our next trip just for checking in with Yelp, so we will be back. read more

I was excited to try Howdy Burger at the Mother Road Market especially since they source their grass-fed beef locally from Prairie Creek Farms in Kellyville. I was disappointed that the beef was so dry; either it was over cooked or not enough fat in the beef blend. Considering the venue I was pleased with low prices of their food. Service was fast considering how crowded it was at the market on Saturday. I would try it again but request that the beef not be cooked beyond well done. read more

This is my second visit but first review: first would have been meh burger, second I'm kind of angry. First burger was meh, so this time I went for the spicy chicken sandwich and was definitely unhappy. Just look at this thing, putting two 1/4" fried chicken patties on a sandwich does NOT make a 1/2" chicken patty. I love Red Light Chicken, so I expected it to be more like their chicken. Dang! This place is how-dee-lightful! After a long drive from Kansas City to Tulsa, my cousin and I pulled into this majestic house of meat, only to be greeted by the kind voice of Isaac through the drive-thru's loudspeaker. We were there Thursday Oct 16, 2025 at approximately 2 pm. We were greeted warmly by the young man taking orders. My nephew ordered, then I said I was Gluten Free. The young man began to explain all the precautions they take to avoid cross contamination- like changing gloves, frying the fries in a separate fryer, a GF bun. When our order came it was perfect! I have been very reluctant to try Howdy Burger, not sure why. Maybe it is the weird contrived name "Howdy Burger!" What does that mean. The nice lady taking our order disclosed the secret formula. Mayonnaise, Mustard, Ketchup and Pickle Juice. A concoction that needs my approval before contaminating a good burger. It wasn't bad. I thought it was better as a dip for the fries than on the burger. The two-meat patty burger originated on the grill as hand rolled balls. Then squished to form thin authentic ragged edge home style looking patties. Grilled to a slightly crisp finish and topped with cheese. The cheese dominated the thin burger patties. It is very cheesy. Add lettuce tomato and onion. So, what happened to the pickles that were in the pickle juice? A good tasting basket of burger and fries. I like it! Pretty dang good. In short, that was my review to my husband about this new burger spot. The loaded fries were really tasty! The sauce on them was a perfect pairing with the bacon and cheese. While I prefer bigger cut fries, the thinner slices still had a nice chew and good flavor. The burger was solid. Like really good. Thinner patties with cheese, onion, and added jalapeños as well as their rodeo sauce. While this was really great, I'll be trying their Wag-Gouda burger next to see if it's worth the extra $6! From Mother Road to their 11th Street location, I've made the drive thru my new go-to. It doesn't hurt that it's closer & up the street. With prices as if you were going to a commercial franchise, it made it easier for me to come here more. I've tried all of the burgers on the menu (sad + true in the short time) & they all did their job. I'm going to have to run back the Wag-Gouda Burger, outside of that, the All Hat was my most memorable. I've been leaning toward the vegetarian + plant based side heavy the past couple of years, I look forward to those options on the menu & it was really good (I also added jalapeños). Burgers range from $7-13, add $3 to it & you have a combo (which is a deal... once I ordered a burger & fries and the person taking my order said it'll come out the same adding a drink). A nice range of drinks to choose from, including their own Lemonade + Strawberry Lemonade. Very distinctive taste, seems as if they squeeze the lemons right then & there before putting it in their Howdy Burger cup that you can keep + collect & use over & over (I have 3-4). All burgers come with Rodeo sauce. Outside of jalapeños, you can add extra cheese & bacon for options. Outside of burgers, they have chicken sandwiches (which I just realized I've also tried), salads (might as well try) & Rodeo Fries (cheese, Rodeo sauce & bacon). The kiddos can choose between a burger or chicken nuggets. Waiting times at the window for my food were usually under 10 mins. All-around good experience during every single visit. read more

I leave a 3 because we love this howdy burger and normally have a good experience. First off, the employee at the counter was standoffish/borderline rude (2018 Billie eillish hair, green/black). Mind you- my standards are low. I'm happy if someone can just ring me up. They were condescending and unwelcoming- from a 30 y/o gay person. After that, the chicken sandwich I ordered was burnt. After the less than pleasant interaction with that employee, I was not willing to bring this to their attention. I should've asked for a refund but didn't want to interact with the staff again. If you like Sonic Ice Don't go here because their ice makes Sonic Ice looks like that awkward cousin you speak to twice a year even though you see him every weekend. Howdy Burger in Tulsa Oklahoma first visit. Located on 11th St. between Peoria and Utica. Arriving in the parking lot you see a complete wall mural which was tastefully done and the appearance was well-maintained and clean. After you arrive in the parking lot, you do not go in the door that faces the parking lot, you walk around to the front of the building that faces 11th St. The young man working the front counter was friendly and knowledgeable, not only did he take your order, but he also delivered it to the table, Nice touch. The menu is small which is absolutely perfect In my opinion. It offers a few good burger add-ons, a gourmet Wagyu burger, a chicken sandwich and even a vegetarian burger option. I ordered the Howdy burger and made it a combo which included either fries or onion rings, and a drink. The burger arrived at the table, neatly wrapped, and still hot. The burger comes with double meat double cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, and rodeo sauce. Their signature sauce. On to the burger review. The bun held together well, was soft and fluffy, it appeared to be a potato bun and had a nice flavor. The meat and cheese portion were a perfect size however, the meat lacks seasoning, that being said, it could be because they use their signature sauce which tastes lightly seasoned. I would have liked some seasoning on the patties but that's my preference. The lettuce, tomato and onion were all wonderfully fresh and full of flavor, reminding me of my grandfather's garden vegetables. The onion rings had a wonderful batter that stayed intact throughout the meal, the onions were medium thickness, but perfectly cooked and seasoned, the french fries to me where outstanding, as good a flavor as the golden arches and even better in texture, these fries are legitimate. The howdy sauce was just ok it needs something to kick it up a notch. The restaurant was very clean, tables included. Our price for 2 burgers, 2 sides, 2 drinks with tax $23.33.
