We went for a late lunch on Saturday and there were a number of people there, along with a couple of fur babies as they're dog friendly (they haven't met our dog)! I ordered the Tulsa Two Step as I like tequila-based drinks and my wife got the Rise and Shine. Both were excellent, as well as unique. She was worried that it might be too sweet, but said it was perfectly refreshing. We split the nachos with blackened chicken and they were some of the best nachos I've EVER had, and I'm an old-fart native! The combo of their great queso, the house-made chips, and the blackened chicken was P E R F E C T I O N!! I joined some coworkers for happy hour at the pump and this is my first time at the Tulsa location as I've been to the one in Oklahoma City before. I was very impressed with the simplistic menu and options as well as the Christmas decor that just made you feel like you were in a Christmas movie in the 1990s. It was cozy. It was welcoming, and it was warm in a multitude of ways. The coolest part about the experience is that you can just order from the table using a QR code and it just comes right to you without there having to be a lot of back-and-forth on the menu choices and making decision before waiter. Cool retro place around 6th and Lewis.. we went for the Lassalles menu - so that meant a soft shell crab po boy (limited availability) and a muffaletta and red beans and gumbo. We enjoyed our meals - but we were both longtime fans of Lassalles. You either order via QR code at your table or in person at the bar. Ample seating inside at the bar, high tops, tables, plus outside as well. Service was very good, restrooms were clean, and the dining area was well kept. I finally tried to the wings & they're pretty good. Smoked & deep fried and you choose up to 3 sauces. I got the Honey BBQ (reminded me of Head Country aka my all-time favorite BBQ sauce), Garlic Sambal & Hot Honey Ranch. Every single one of those sauces were good. I need a bottle of each to bring home & use it on things I make. I got a side of tots, which I've had before here and like previously, they got the job done. I think it's time for me to get one of the special tots options next. I'm a regular up here at this point. Service was always on point, wait on the food wasn't long at all. Last weekend, on an unusually warm Saturday, my wife and I decided to try the Pump Bar. This place is so cool. A great dog friendly patio, comfortable spots to chill out and day drink. The menu is extensive featuring a great smash burger, some good sandwich options, a mimosa and Bloody Mary bar, tons of beers and signature cocktails and mocktails. Only downside is having to order at the bar or via a QR code and app. They are also featuring Lasalle's Cajun menu. My wife enjoyed the burger and tots and I thought the gumbo was solid with a touch of garlic hot sauce and some crackers. It's fun, affordable and a great food and drink menu. 3 stars from me because this restaurant is "fine". We split a shrimp pi'boy which was a mistake. The shrimp was perfectly cooked, not a lot of it. The bread was VERY tough. I didn't notice when I ordered it doesn't come with a side. I later saw you could order fries for $6-7. I know this may sound petty but I'm sure I've never ordered a po'boy that didn't come with sides. I was in OKC last week and had The Most Perfect shrimp po'boy at Cajun Corner. For that reason, next time we crave this we will drive. read more

This was a spontaneous mid-afternoon stop. I had never noticed The Pump Bar before and I guess that's because it's only been open a couple months. This place is full of Retro eye candy. It's an amalgam of old-time diner mixed with a gas station. I thought it was very cool inside, figuratively not actually. It was actually not that cold inside even though it was a Sweltering hot day on the day I visited. A bar takes up a lot of the space in the middle of the place, and there are lots of old timey swivel chairs for sitting at the bar. In front of a couple large garage doors, which were closed fortunately, a row of high top tables with chairs. On the other side of the room are a few more high top tables with chairs and they've even got a small corner of the room with some video games of some sort. I didn't really check those out. They have a fairly extensive beer list, not too many draft beers on tap though. They do have some really great cocktails our favorite being the Black Betty. There are a variety of food items available, tots seem to be a pretty big thing here. We did not order tots, we ordered a hummus plate which was really good. A pretty generous portion of hummus and next to that a bed of feta cheese topped with olives diced cucumbers and maybe something else alongside a basket of small warmed pitas. We loved it. Lively Grapefruit Radler $8 Hummus Plate $12 Black Betty $10 The place definitely has a cool retro atmosphere. Even though it was mid-afternoon the place was hopping. It should be noted that there is no table service. You need to walk up to the bar and place your food and drink orders and then pick it up at the bar when it's ready. I don't see how this is a sustainable way to run this business however. With the amount of people that were in there, at times there was quite a long line of people waiting to place their orders at the bar. My other gripe was that I ordered canned beer that was not nearly as cold as I would expect especially on an extremely hot day.I can't vouch for the coldness of the draft here since I did not have one. But if you can't serve a super cold beer in a chilled mug on a hot day it's probably not a place that is all that, no matter how cool looking it is inside. I realize the place is relatively new and perhaps they're still working things out. This is the kind of place that I hope survives because it is definitely a cool place. I think they have a little ways to go though before it becomes a regular spot for me. read more

Came on. Friday for lunch with a few coworkers. Tracy explained their food and cocktail menu and then told us to order at the bar. I had the Cabin Boys Pump Pilsner and ordered the Brisket Grilled Cheese, which came with either fries or tots. Another guy ordered their weekly taco special, which was beef barbacoa. The food came up in less than 10 minutes. Their presentation looked great. My brisket sandwich was packed with meat and cheese. The brisket was moist and flavorful. The tacos came 4 to a serving and looked great. My friend said they were awesome. Someone else ordered the Trashy Tots which were topped with bacon and cheese and also served with some hot chili oil. The food was great, the ambience was also pretty cool, but it was annoying to have to return to the bar to order another beer..........especially when there appeared to be a couple of waitresses working the floor. Everything about this place exceeded my expectations (except the lack of service). Ordering was weird and complicated. We wanted to get bottle service and couldn't find that digitally so we were yelling from our table back and forth to the bartenders to get certain drinks. Food arrived but at different times so it got cold as to not be rude to the rest of our party. We also had to keep getting up for silverware, water and napkins. Strange. We arrived and decided to sit outside. The music was so loud outside. You couldn't hear each other talk. We bought a Muleta and share it. A half of a sandwich was $16. I thought that was a little bit expensive and I ordered the olive salad on the side because it's too salty for me. My friend ate them a letter and it was good but a muffaletta is not for somebody that can't have salt not just the olive salad, which is really really salty, but the process meats are really really salty so I might go back and try their gumbo with the one at Mother Road the Cajun place there has been hands-down the best Cajun food around. I visited on Sunday, July 14 (2024) and I have mixed feelings! It was around 1:15pm when my friend and I arrived. The bar/restaurant was hosting some type of gardening pop-up with different organic vendors with tents on their patio, some vendors were also inside. I didn't think it was such a big deal, there were plenty of patio seats available, until we went inside. Indoors was way fuller with not as much floor space. People were standing "in line" to order, every seat (the bar stools, high-tops, and booth seats) were occupied and you couldn't tell who, if anyone, was servicing the guests. While we waited "in line," we searched the bar for an open table but there were none clear and clean. I eventually sat at a four-table high-top with leftover food still on it while my friend stayed "in line." After 10mins, my friend eventually made it to the bar to order. Someone eventually cleaned the table we were sitting at so I sat while my friend proceeded to order. She ordered the kids chicken nuggets & the cucumber cocktail and, as I got up to relay my order, someone stole the seat(s) that we were just at! I then ordered the chicken cutlet, tater tots and attempted to order the "Hatorade" but they were out (?) so I ordered the Peach Flamingo. I walked around one more time while we waited for our food then we settled for on an outside table. The food didn't take long but I had to go back inside to retrieve it. There's a station where you get napkins and any additional item (salt & pepper, ketchup, silverware, etc.) which felt very much like a sports stadium self-service instead of a bar/restaurant. The drink was okay: decent appearance, a well-balanced cocktail. The Chicken Cutlet sandwich looked appetizing: it was large, divided in two, had texture, melted cheese, I was excited. After two bites, I was dissatisfied with what I was eating. The sandwich was terribly bland. The chicken breast itself, though the breading had sprinkles of seasoning and the meat was juicy, it lacked any type of flavor. The cheese tasted like empty calories. The best part of the meal was the bread because it was soft (but not buttered) and the tots! My friend's chicken nuggets were satisfying for what they were, very Chik-Fil-A-esque. Otherwise, I was not content with the sandwich, I couldn't even finish the other half of it (which is off because I'm not a picky eater and that was the first time I ate that day). The positives are that the design of the bar is pretty innovative. It mixes a classic Oklahoma diner feel with modern fixtures. The menu and drinks are all interesting enough to spark your curiosity, you'll be tempted to order more than one thing. But unfortunately, there are more cons than pros. The lack of seating during a hot, lunch time. The slow service and attention to the demand. There's not a host or servers on the floor. It's not even an actual place to order you just have to get the attention of one of the 3 bartenders who already have/had a full seated bar. The fact that you get your own food (potentially risking your seating). They don't have honey mustard. Lastly, and most importantly, the food was such a let down. read more

My wife and I went in on Saturday July 20th. I saw a vidoe review on FB and wanted to try it. The atmosphere was great with a great indoor / outdoor theme. The parking lot was full but there where still seats available. The food was pretty good. Defenetly prepared well and the portion size as compared to price was very good. I had the smash burger. I wasn't exactly sure what to expect but it was a good burger. Lots of fries that where cooked crispy, which it the way I like them. My wife had the chicken wings. Nice sized, but with the double fry they were the most crispy wings I have ever had. I would say for us, too crispy. My main isuue here was the ordering process and the service. It is pretty much "self serve" and the only interaction we had with a server was difficult with the language barrier. I don't like ordering from a QR code. There may be a more personal way to order but it wasn't presented. Owners should consider people with vision issues might need another option. Call me old fashion, but when you do everything except bring the food to the table a tip isn't warented. I prefer a more personal service. Food good, atmosphere really good, service is non existant.
