Good food, reliable and consistent. I have yet to be disappointed with anything we've gotten at Charlie's. My only comment, and it's one shared by The Wife is the ordering. For some reason I have yet to ascertain, ordering takeout at Charlie's is like trying to lasso an octopus for me. I can't explain it, but getting through the process of ordering just wears me out. I think part of it, at least for ordering indoors is that there are so many people behind the line taking the order, I get worried one of them will either double up (or worse, not get it at all) on an item, and it just seems chaotic. That aside, I love the chicken, and I absolutely love the potato wedges and gravy. I've been known to make a meal just out of those.... much to my waistline's regret. I don't know why all the low ratings. We've eaten at Charlie's Chicken for over a decade at several locations (Owasso, Pryor, and Claremore) and never had a bad experience. The service is always great, I'm usually ordering a pretty big takeout order these days (40-60 chunk meals) and they always help me carry it out to the car. Never had a single person be rude or anything either. The chicken has always been great, it's pretty much the best fast food chicken I can think of. I do agree that the mac and cheese is pretty mushy but I don't eat that, my kids do and they seem to love it so I don't really care. I love that they still have fried okra which is hard to find these days and their broccoli salad is really good too. This is not michelin star dining, and you should know that going into it. For fast food this is the best quality, taste and service you're going to find. The leftovers reheat well too. read more

We have loved Charlie's Chicken for years but on Sunday, August 1st we were very dissatisfied! The broccoli grape salad was very dry, almost no dressing and the chicken breast and chicken chunks were dry and chewy! This has never happened! We love their food normally! Very disappointed with the food we got today to go after church. We ordered a liver dinner and the livers were dry and one of them was actually burnt that it had a charcoal taste to it it was very nasty. Additionally the roles were practically burnt they were very dark brown and not like I remember from a year ago when we ate there last, most likely it'll be another year before we eat there again. read more

My family of 13 was celebrating my uncles 82nd Birthday on 12-11-21, They only had 2 drumsticks available so I was quite upset that there wouldn't be enough for everyone who wanted drumsticks, the staff cared enough to make sure everyone left with a positive experience, so they cooked several more birds & brought some more drumsticks out to us, so everyone ended up getting exactly what they wanted, the food was delicious, the best chicken I have had anywhere & I noticed the staff was very conscientious about cleanliness, one of the staff even offered to take a group picture so everyone could be in the picture, well played charlies chicken, myself & my family very much appreciate the staff taking good care of us & we definitely will be back again ! read more

Charlie's rocks. Sitting in line to order with two cars behind me and the store closed and lights went out after I was greeted and waiting to place my order . I noticed it was a young staff. When I got to the window they ere still taking the orders. I was pleased because I noticed the car ahead of me had a huge order and the young man at the window confirmed it. My husband picked up Charlie's Chicken last night for dinner. I got a 3-piece chunk dinner with fried okra and mac and cheese. There was hardly any mac and cheese in the container and while it tasted OK it was very mushy. The three pieces of chicken were the smallest chunks I've ever seen.
