Was nearby working and decided to give Baja Jacks a try. I got the La Posta Burrito. The size was enough for two. The spicy beef was tasty but the spice level was low. The jalapeños and peppers were fresh and crisp. The pepper jack cheese was a nice change for a burrito. The chips that came with it were unsalted and stale but I didn't stop for the chips I came for the burrito. The staff was friendly and the food came out quickly. If I'm in town again I would give Baja Jacks a go again. read more

I started eating here when I lived in Owasso back in 2009! It warmed my heart to come back and visit tonight with my wife and discover your mango salsa is still as fresh and incredible as it was back then. Amazing service, delicious FRESH food and a fun chill atmosphere. You can build your own burritos or order off the menu. We ate our burritos up before I could snap pics. Employees are nice and helpful, the layout of the building is a hair odd on how you go to order and sit with the partial to go/ catering area is where you have to walk by to get seated, refills, salsa bar and the trash. I usually love this place! But tonight I was disappointed to find dark brown guacamole on my food. I know that usually just means it's set out too long, but why would you put that on someone's food! I had read good things about ordering gluten free food here. The employees were friendly and knowledgeable about GF. I ordered the GF relleno with chips and queso. Good News: They have good gluten free chips that are cooked in a dedicated fryer, the queso has a great flavor and there is GF salsa. (I worried about the salsa only because it's at the salsa bar - buffet style - and that's always a concern with cross contamination. It was fine though.) Not so good news: I took a bite of the relleno and tasted a burned flavor. I pulled it out from under the mountain of rice and it was burned. While Owasso doesn't have a Chipotle or Qdoba, it does have a local treasure named Baja Jacks. A casual burrito and taco shack, this spot offers build-your-own options as well as set menu items. The white queso is hard to beat. I would take a trip down the road just to get that and a bag of chips. Their guacamole is also nice, but could use a little extra lime. It works wonderfully on top of tacos or quesadillas though. Their all-you-can-grab salsa bar is also a fun and delicious treat to stop at before you go home or sit at a table. Another highlight is their corn tortillas. I plan to order a dozen of them to have at home for breakfast tacos in a few weeks! Overall, a really quick, affordable lunch. read more

Tonight we stopped in to try Baja Jack's for the first time. After reading the reviews I was excited to try their food. When you walk in you'll see the menu on a few screen to the left. There are also cards you can fill out to build your own burrito. We placed our order with the cashier and found a place to sit. The area was very clean and bright! Since it was our first time we didn't know we needed to grab some chips, but one of the waitstaff came over and walked us through the routine. She was very kind and pleasant! We started out with the white cheese queso, that was a perfect sauce! Very creamy with a tiny bit of heat, not too much. I had the taco salad, it comes with shredded chicken and a wonderful creamy lime sauce. It was all fresh and tasted amazing. My husband got the street tacos, spicy beef, he really enjoyed trying the variety of salads available by the soda machine. They have a guide so you'll know which are really hot and which are not. We ordered the mini churros also, they were very crispy on the outside but soft in the middle- perfect! We will be back to enjoy this place again. This is not your typical Mexican restaurant with the blob of beans and rice. We ate for under $30, great place for a date or if you're in the area and are hungry. read more

Baja Jack's has been a favorite of mine and my church community for over a decade. The BYOB (build your own burrito) has always been a winner. Food has never failed to reach the table in less than 10 minutes and the whole staff is incredibly nice. While the BYOB is their special, I like many of the menu items, such as the pork verde burrito, the Cali-Okie burrito, and the rolled tacos. The queso is always on point. I have to say that I was shocked at the lack of cleanliness in your restaurant, and it's not something that happened over the course of one day. The floors were disgusting, as was the wall next to the window behind where my my granddaughter sat. The salsa bar was not being wiped down either. It really is a shame. Every once in awhile, I just love a good Chorizo and Egg Burrito. This takes me to Baja Jacks. The Owasso location was always better then the now closed, Tulsa locations. I used to hit this one frequently when they had a location in south Tulsa..;. Now I only go to it once every couple of weeks as it is about 45 minutes away. But it is worth the drive. Best option is always the BYOB where you get to choose exactly what you want and unlike Chipotle where they are stingy with meat and cheese and try to load you down with cheap filler, this place gives you decent amounts of whatever is on your burrito. Only thing that is a bit annoying is the size of the salsa cups. But you can get as much as you want so it just means you have to get more than one. read more

Always comes with chips & you can get as many cups as you want from the (many) salsas that they have. Now that I think about it, it's tough between them & Chipotle on who's better. Came here for breakfast - all items are $5. I ordered the Breakfast Quesadilla, which comes with eggs and cheese with a choice of bacon, ham, or chorizo. I am a non pork eater, so I asked if I could substitute potatoes for the meat and they happily obliged. Food came out fast and tasted so fresh. They have a salsa bar with different types of toppings you can add, which is always a plus. The potatoes in my quesadilla were sliced thin and cooked just right, and the cheese was so delicious! I was very impressed! The management came around and asked how everything was - customer service earned them that coveted 5th star. This place is awesome! I wish we had one closer to home. The ordering system is very customized. You can build your own anything the way you want it, or just order off the menu. They have a delightful salsa bar that you can try out. There are several types of salsa and some pico de gallo and peppers. You also get a complimentary basket of chips, but go ahead and spring for some white queso. It's only $2.50, and you will thank me. I found a really good Mexican place, up from the hotel, affordable, cute as can be. And it's delicious. I found it on Yelp. It's within near walking distance from the hotel. The food is top notch. The house specialty salsa was very addicting. I had the Rosarita rolled tacos. I was expecting three, and was surprised when I received 4. The guacamole on the top of the rolled tacos was very tasty. I can't believe how much I ate! All 4 rolled tacos, and almost all the chips. The chips are light colored corn chips, kind of floured, airy. They were complimented totally with the specialty sauce. There is a sauce bar, with several flavors, but I got hooked, and stayed hooked. I like the large, windows on the front,and the surfboards hanging on the ceiling.
