I found a really good Mexican place, up from the hotel, affordable, cute as can be. And it's delicious. I found it on Yelp. It's within near walking distance from the hotel. The food is top notch. The house specialty salsa was very addicting. I had the Rosarita rolled tacos. I was expecting three, and was surprised when I received 4. The guacamole on the top of the rolled tacos was very tasty. I can't believe how much I ate! All 4 rolled tacos, and almost all the chips. The chips are light colored corn chips, kind of floured, airy. They were complimented totally with the specialty sauce. There is a sauce bar, with several flavors, but I got hooked, and stayed hooked. I like the large, windows on the front,and the surfboards hanging on the ceiling. What a gem! This place is a perfect dinner time getaway from the Midwest! It reminds me of a quaint little Mexican restaurant in Turks & Caicos that my husband and I visited on our honeymoon. The Baja Fish Tacos are a MUST! I could eat them every day. Meals come with a basket of tortilla chips, and you have your choice of different types of delicious salsa at the salsa bar. Service is exceptional, and our food is always quickly prepared. We are bummed that the Jenks location closed because that was closer to us, BUT we are so happy that this location is still open. Man oh man. I decided to try the veggie burrito. I was a bit skeptical at first with the wheat tortilla and just veggies, but it was great. I didn't miss the meat at all. Went to Baja Jack's tonight for some take out. Was less than impressed. I had the 3 street tacos, chicken, pork and steak. The chicken and pork were very dry, the pork to the point I only ate about half of it. Wife had the Ensanada tacos, and was quite satisfied with them. We both had the chicken tortilla soup, and basically got 2 containers of soggy chickeny-rice crap. There was maybe a couple tablespoons of liquid in the container at best. (Pic enclosed). I took one bite and just trashed mine. Wife ate a little bit of hers, but not much. We ordered online, and specified salsas with each order, but got nothing. We wound up using salsa from the fridge. I can't speak to their burritos, as I generally just don't like burritos, but maybe that's the key... order those. Based on this experience I can't say I'd bother to go back. El Fogon in Owasso or Tacos Don Francisco (Tulsa, 11th and Pittsburgh) both have FAR better street tacos at comparable prices. read more

I was next in line to order our meal and my family (wife and three children) were asked to get up from our table to seat another family. The situation was not handled very professionally and we left to go elsewhere. There were multiple tables who were completely finished eating and about to leave. My family left hungry, embarrassed, and frustrated. Spoke with manager and owner on phone. My wife and I used to work in Owasso so we frequented this location fairly often, and I was always very pleased (they messed her order up here and there); however, we visited for the first time in a couple of years the other day, and my burrito was cold, the cheese was still in its square shape, so it never even melted, was hanging out the bottom of the burrito, and you guessed it, the moment I lifted the thing up it unraveled. I didn't request anything bougie like extra meat or out of the norm, they just didn't wrap it properly. They seemed more interested in fulfilling what seems to be a large catering order than assisting their customers. Later, I returned to eat what remained of my leftovers (yeah, I was so unenthused about it that I didn't finish), and I found the jalapeños I had thought they'd forgotten... they were all stuffed at the bottom of the burrito! My wife's order was wrong (as usual) as well. This was at 11:00 in the morning with hardly anyone in there. Also, I went to use their bathroom to wash my hands, and already the counters were soaked with soapy water, wet paper towels in the sink, and water on the floor with no trip hazard sign. It wasn't just one thing that brought me to write this review, and from my history you can see I normally give four or five stars even if there's one or two issues, but this entire visit was terrible, and it makes me sad because it was my favorite place to get a burrito. When I got there, the person said we don't have your order. He checked with the manager. Now they know that Yelp can also place orders. Really really good food. I only give it less that 5 stars because of the logistics of the dining room. I would suggest that they give you your plastic wear at the order station so that during the busy lunch or dinner rush you aren't standing in the drink/salsa line just to get those things. And because there aren't trays, if you have a family, you'll have to go back several times. Not a huge deal, just as a mommy of small kids- it makes it a little more difficult. read more

Ok... here we go. I was introduced to Baja Jack's when i was younger, and it was the most amazing place ever! I had never, ever had a build your own burrito before. The selections were excellent! And the selections are still great. The meat was amazing back then but now it's...not. It doesnt even taste seasoned anymore. I remember it being cooked when they got the order but now it's in a container. Waiting for someone to order it. I understand cutting costs, and I am completely fine with it already made, but it's so bland now. When we got our chips today, they were basically the crumbs. The queso was still thick and not completely melted. Not sure if today was just a bad day or if this is the way it is now. I was incredibly disappointed. I always Judge a Mexican place based on chips and salsa and the food. The quesadillas were 5 star best I have had. The chips where like 1 star, salsa 1 star as well.
