Yum! When we saw the "Open" sign, we had to stop and try this new place. And I'm so glad we did! The desire is bright and clean, the people working were friendly and attentive, and the food was really good! We tried street tacos, Mission Street burritos, and a quesadilla. All were very tasty! The burritos are big and hearty, and all the flavors were great. I love that they grill the tortilla after they assemble it. It's an easy step that adds a lot of flavor. The tacos were great and so was the quesadilla. They have a salsa bar with delicious varieties. I'm so pleased to have this place to come back to.

I had seen a yelp review and had to try it myself. Very flavorful carne asada. We ordered the asada fries and the so called burrito! They both were packed with flavor. We will definitely be back for the Big Boy!

I recently visited La Taquiza since it just opened, and I want to start by saying the food has very good flavor. However, I was disappointed with the portion of my torta. The amount of meat was very small, and as shown in the photo, it only had a few pieces of meat and just two small slices of avocado. I believe the food has a lot of potential, but the portions--especially for the price--should be more generous. I'm sharing this feedback respectfully and hope it is taken into consideration, as I would like to return and support a new local business.

This place is pretty new to the area. The food is tasty and I was able to make a healthy bowl with black beans grilled chicken Guac and rice. They have a salsa bar and an inviting happy ambiance. The employee was super friendly.

There's a parking lot in this plaza, and we were seated immediately upon arrival. They offered complementary chips and dips (salsa and queso). We ordered additional guac. The chorizo queso is sooooo good! I ordered the birria taco plate and I'd say this is very authentic compared to food back home (California)! They were generous with the birria and the consome is chefs kiss!!! The staff did a wonderful job in assuring our needs were met and that we were satisfied. I hope this place is just renovating and hopefully will reopen in the foreseeable future. I would love to see this place continue to thrive!

Really good and would order again. Rice and beans were probably above average. My dining partner asked how the chile relleno was prepared. (He doesn't like the eggy batter.) We were literally told that it came premade and frozen and was "just fried." Obviously, he ordered the street tacos instead. We sat at the bar and it took a bit to get waited on but the manager jumped in and gave us water and silverware. I liked my Blackberry-Rosemary Marg but I honestly didn't feel like it had much tequila in it. The regular marg was just OK. Since it is a tequila bar and we sat at the bar, I would have liked to have discussed tequilas but my bad for not asking. Would have loved to have done a tasting. The menu was informative. I would go back when in south Tulsa. Not sure I would make it a destination. (Well, maybe. Those enchiladas were good! It is a cute place.

Advertised as "Authentically Modern Santa Fe Cuisine." Calling it New Mexican food might cause confusion. A diner could infer "New Mexican" as a reference to modern Mexican food or possibly Mexican fusion. Indeed, La Tertulia plates food that is very similar to what I have had in Santa Fe and Taos. The famous Hatch Chilis heavily influences the cuisine. The two hues of the capsicum laced fruits, also create the age-old argument over red vs. green sauce. For me, huevos rancheros, Christmas style (red and green sauce), hold the rice. My wife had the stacked enchiladas with chicken, Christmas style, also hold the rice. Both the green and red sauces were delicious. Filling, tasty plates of food. The green sauce was the spiciest. Check the pictures. The service was excellent. I love their spicy fiery salsa that is served with the chips. I sucked down the small sample in just a few minutes. It was promptly replaced with two more big bowls. Kenzie's name was on the receipt. If you are a fan of any version of spicy Mexican food, served on "don't touch," third degree burn blistering hot plates, you will love this place. A savvy connoisseur of New Mexico fare, would be pleased with the food as well.
