I've driven past this restaurant hundreds of times but never stopped in until last Sunday evening. Unfortunately, I did not take pictures, but my husband's shrimp dish was excellent. He ate all of it. My chiles rellenos were very good. I couldn't finish and took it home. It was still great the next day warmed up. The salsa was too tomatoy for my taste but improved with the addition of some habanero sauce that was on the table. I had a small guacamole which was tasty but seemed to have a lot of mayo or some kind of sauce that thinned it out. It was guac. We ate all of it. All in all, a good meal. They have these beautiful chairs that they purchased in Mexico. Def a family owned and run place. read more

The service was really good but the food was very bland sadly:( it wasn't to busy which was nice and it was very quiet! They are right next to a dispensary so you can smell it though the wall which I didn't really like ! read more

Amazing food for an even better price and the service is unmatched I would highly recommend and will definitely be adding to the list of must have every week. read more

OMG, a 4.4 rating?! This was the worst experience, so bad that we HAD to laugh. Salsa was blah, blah, blah. Asked for their green chili; it was nasty. Asked for the hotter red sauce...ditto! The good news: we didn't add calories from chips. Ordered a frozen margarita, was served on the rocks. Chili relleno meal was VERY sub-par; won't go into details. Young waitress never once issued an apology, but looked quite annoyed when we had our problems, never had the guts to ask how our food was. BTW, I'm in my 80's, grew up in So. Calif., so do know my Mexican food. You have been warned!! read more

Great food! Great service! Great people working! We order carry-out often and order is always correct and delicious!

Not impressed with the food at all too bland not up to a Mexican restaurant standards at all. The service was good but if you do not like the food service doesn't matter read more

I was so impressed with Chavas! Everything on the menu sounded great. I went with the chori pollo, and it was fantastic. The portions were huge. My husband had the burrito Broken Arrow and he loved it. The salsa was great too. We both ordered margaritas, which were almost too strong haha. Next time I'll stick to beer. Definitely give Chavas a try! The service was excellent. read more

Better than I was expecting. Food was good but was cold. Service was good. Drinking glass was dirty and fork was dirty.

Best Mexican food!!! I haven't had anything bad. This place is a staple for my wife and I. The Norma Special Margaritas...amazing!!!

This may be our new favorite Mexican restaurant in Broken Arrow. Salsa is definitely made fresh. Margaritas were great, especially for the price. Shrimp cocktail is on point! This Taco Tuesday is a great bang for your buck. We got great service tonight. Glad we came. read more

Norma and her brother run this little restaurant. They are related to folks that run the Chava's and Vallarta's restaurants scattered across NE OK. This particular restaurant has been open a couple of years and it is conveniently located just a few doors down from the Indian Springs Tag agency on south Elm Place. So, you can drop by and have a couple of margaritas both before and after visiting the tag agency. The salsa was good. They have mild and the essential hot. We tried the Chilaquiles and the Pollo Encebollado. The Chilaquiles were average, not bad, but nothing to brag about. It was a huge serving! The Pollo Encebollado was very good. It is basically a version of what some restaurants call "pollo loco." A thin chicken breast grilled on the flat top with queso AND this version has grilled onions on top. A nice add. It was tasty! Both plates came with good beans and rice. The Pollo Encebollado also had a generous dollop of fresh guac and pico de gallo. The service was quick. Norma is a friendly young lady to visit with. Drop by and give Chava's a try. We will be back! read more

Food here was awesome! I got chori pollo and it was a quality meal that was filling! my wife got pollo con queso which i feel is hard to mess up. Thankfully they didn't and it also is good! Margaritas are good here. Unlucky for my wife they were out of Pina mix, but her pineapple coconut mimosa was good. Chips and salsa were fine. The lady who took care of us humored me. She was attentive and ensured we got what we needed and how much we needed. I will cut some slack since we came in during the last hour of business in that getting a menu did take a little longer than anticipated, but nothing greater than 5 or so minutes and after our drink orders had been taken and chips had already been provided. The chairs in here are really cool and unique and the music is standard! There also were a lot of nice hand painted canvases that are good vibes read more

1st time to visit Chavas since their opening a few months ago. We arrived around 7:30 on Friday night and they were pretty busy. We were greeted by Bubba who seated us. Our waitress was quick to arrive with chips & salsa and took our drink orders. I ordered the #81 Enchiladas Seafood and she had the #55 Steak Feliz. My enchiladas were pretty good with a shrimp, a crab and a cheese enchilada. She wasn't fully satisfied with her dish as the menu says cooked to your taste and she thought it was a little charred. I tasted it and thought the flavor was good, but it is hard to cook a thin steak to a medium rare. Overall I thought the service was friendly and efficient, the food was served hot and fresh, but is nothing extraordinary. If your in the area and in the mood for Mexican it's as good as most in the area. read more

Nice little hole in the wall Mexican Restaurant. Started off with some tasty tortilla chips. They were warm and crispy, but half the basket was filled with broken chips about the size of my thumbnail. The salsa had a zesty taste which left me wanting more... once the waitress bought us more chips (which were again half whole chips and half broken.) We ordered a side of guacamole which was very good and consumed quickly. I had the Fajita Broken Arrow which had steak, shrimp, chicken, chorizo, carne asada, grilled peppers and onions. The steak was a skirt steak seasoned to perfection. All of the other meats were grilled just right and not over done. The meal came with a side of shredded lettuce, rice, retried beans, and sour cream, and three warm flour tortillas. I asked for corn tortillas, but received flour. After informing the waitress, she quickly brought the corn tortillas. The fajitas could easily fill four or five tortillas, so you may want to request a couple more. All and all, it was a good meal, but not great, for everyone. We will try it again though as these new local restaurants are much better than the chains, and I'm hoping they are busy getting the "kinks" out being a new restaurant. read more

Great service! The food was good & the margaritas were delicious! Great staff!! Great for taco Tuesday, specials on tacos!!

Love this place!! Best Mexican food in broken arrow! The salsa along with everything else is amazing. Great margaritas too!

Honestly I'm from California and I'm a hard judgement. The chilaquiles we're good. The beans were not the best but they were good for being in the Tulsa area I'm going to give this 5 stars for having great customers service and pretty decent food. For a drink and a plate of chilaquiles, rice, and beans my total was $13. It's a nice little hole in the wall place and as authentic as I've seen here. Also it was really quick! The cleanliness is not 5 stars probably but about a 3 but not terrible. read more

Food is average. Service the 3 out of 4 times we have tried it was pretty lousy. The servers (at least in the evening hours) tend to congregate at a back table and chat and eat and forget there are customers there. I'm done trying. read more

Moved to the area April this year. We have been searching for authentic Mexican food trying many restaurants around the area. We tried this place hoping we could hit gold with a place we could frequent. The owner Norma recommended #18. Simply wonderful plate of yummyness. My wife had the best cheese quesadilla yet. Fresh, fresh fresh! Norma, you and your brother make this place a gem and one I'm certainly happy I found. read more

I have to say I'm glad I didnt write a review the first time I tried this restaurant. With that being said, the food was sooo much better this time around under the new management. I gave them the benefit of the doubt today and went for the Tuesday Taco special. I played it safe, ordered 5 crispy beef tacos, 1 campechano street taco and a side of charro beans. The ground beefbwas much more flavorful this round. The salsa also had flavor instead of just tomato sauce flavor and the little street taco, I tried the campechano(steak and chorizo) it's not my style, I leave it that, but thats my taste. I think if I would've ordered the steak by itself it would have been just fine. I just don't think I personally care for chorizo in general but the had advertised this as new so I gave it a shot. Like I said, I just don't think I like chorizo in general, so don't let that deter you if you do! I also ordered charros beans ala carte, the beans were tastier than refried, had slices of flattop grilled hot dog, pieces of pork(and possibly bacon) some onion and spice. The beans were delicious as well. After my first trip of having flavorless salsa I requested a side of their hot salsa. It was very good as well and I ended up putting both on my tacos for heat and flavor. I can say my second trip here far surpassed the 1st vist just a few months after opening. read more

Very cute little restaurant in southern Broken Arrow. Very quant with lovely decor!!! The salsa and chips are good! I ordered off the vegetarian menu, #74! Food was very tasty, loved the white sauce and the portion size ended up being two meals for me!! My husband ordered #80 and LOVED IT!! Our waiter, Justin, was knowledgeable and recommended our Margi's! I would recommend giving it a try!! read more

One of the best soft tacos I've had in a long time, good priced margaritas. You just seat yourself, 10/10 definitely try it out.

Fast and friendly service. Cost effective way to feed our family quickly. Might have it tonight now that I'm thinking about it...

The food is delicious and service is great! It's a family owned business and they go out of their way to make you feel welcome!

Went here for the first time recently with my family. To be honest we just googled what was in the area since we moved here recently. When we drove up, it didn't seem like much. However, I know that you can't judge a book by its cover. That saying rings true with this place. The restaurant is very clean, open and well decorated with more seating than I expected. Norma and her son Anthony were our servers. We absolutely adored them!! Norma treated us like old friends and gave us the best service. Our food and drinks were all delicious! We had the sopes, chile verde (pork), steak fajitas and seafood enchiladas. We left clean plates needless to say. I highly recommend as we have found our new place that we're going to be regulars at. read more

We love this place. But everytime we order Togo they mess it up. The manager doesn't care whatsoever. She basically called me a liar when she left my kids entire meal out!!! Saddens me to leave a review like this but I'm done giving them chances! BEWARE IF ORDERING TOGO!!! read more

This was quite a distance from home but was worth the trip. I really liked everything food wise... salsa wasn't too hot, just right... refried beans good, rice average, but the chili relleno is very good, as are the tamales... the chicken in the enchiladas was nice and juicy ( not dried out)... they were out of most desserts, it was a Sunday afternoon when we were there. The restaurant is fixed up cute inside but the walls need a new paint touch up. The waitress was as nice as could be. read more
