We were looking for a place that met our level of expectations for a Mexican restaurant and this certainly did. They make their tortillas from scratch, you can literally see them make it as you walk through the doors. Service was fast and responsive, our server was very nice and gave us as much time as we needed. This is the biggest Mexican restaurant we have been to, the ceilings are high and feels open. Honestly, we were hesitant to go because of all the previously failed restaurants in this location. However, after seeing some positive reviews, we decided to give it a try. I would totally recommend this place. The staff worked hard and were friendly. We went on a night with live music, which was a total delight. The performer was actually really good! The food was good, and the portions were large. The chips and salsa were above the normal standard fare. We returned on Taco Tuesday and definitely recommend the El Pastor. The beef was good; the chicken was a bit dry but still of good quality. There's outside patio seating and plenty of indoor and bar seating as well. Come support this place! read more

We love the La Huerta in Fort Smith so we came in to give them a try. We started with the cheese dip with meat. It was delicious. Then I had the Baja bowl which was good. My husband and oldest daughter shared the large Steven special. They reported it was amazing. I tried the top shelf margarita. It was great and I loved the prices on the margaritas. Service was amazing. Food arrived quick and our waitress was very attentive. She didn't let chips or drinks run empty. I liked the ambience. It is chill and is good for a variety of people. They have a large space for groups. They are kid friendly. Also they have outdoor seating for those who love a patio, like myself. We will be back again soon. read more

Went on a taco Tuesday and will not be returning. First off, all the tacos I ordered came out cold, and the reason we were given was because of the cilantro and onion?! I've had lots of tacos with onion and they were never cold. Sent them back, and cold again. Third time out...lukewarm at best and bland. Other people in my party were underwhelmed as well, with one noting that the rice was flavorless. The restaurant is big and comfortable with space for large groups, but based on the service we had, which was far from attentive, we wouldn't recommend it. To add insult to injury, we were told that the food that came out cold would be comp'd. It wasn't, and to top it off we were charged an extra $1.50 for "crunchy" tacos that were randomly on some of our plates. No one ever requested crunchy, the just came that way. My first visit to La Huerta was great! Our large party was seated quickly and served well. The menu was extensive giving you choices for any craving. I chose the enchilada de crema with chicken filling and cream sauce. My friends had the taco salad with a delicious chicken filling served in a unique taco shell! Another ordered the Baja bowl. She raved about the flavor of the grilled chicken served on rice, black beans and corn. I will try this next time!! The chips and salsa were a tasty appetizer as we awaited our main course! We might like this place, we showed up at 7:45 p Sunday evening.. said they couldn't wait on our party of 5. As they were closing. Stated hours were until 9p. One bean at a time......... La Huerta is a large Mexican restaurant cartel based in Arkansas, with many restaurants scattered across the northeastern part of that state. There is one in Poteau, OK. Now they are in Broken Arrow to get a piece of the already overloaded Mexican restaurant market. They are a good solid Mexican restaurant but don't expect to be blown away. Most all of their restaurants are rated 4.0 - 4.3 on Google. I have dined at several and found that to be a reasonable assessment of the food and service. Most Yelp reviews of La Huerta's locations are not as generous with the stars. The new restaurant in Broken Arrow is in that ballpark of Google's 4 star rating. The interior of the restaurant is pretty much as it was when Casa Grande operated in the building. It is a nice roomy modern dining facility with a bar. A great building, large parking lot and a perfect high exposure accessible location for most any type of restaurant. The food.. Ask for salsa picante. It had a fresh taste (peppers, cilantro, garlic, etc.) with a nice level of heat. The mild salsa is tomato and garlic. My wife had a "pick two" combo from the lunch special: a relleno and a tamale w/beans and rice. The relleno was very good. I had the Enchiladas La Huerta: 3 chicken enchiladas with a habanero cream sauce. This was a light flavorful plate of well-seasoned chicken, rolled in corn tortillas and covered with bright orange mild habanero sauce. It came with a small bowl of charro beans and rice. The service was disappointing, but adequate. The waitress took our order. Our food was served by someone from the kitchen. My bowl of beans came without a spoon. Our waitress had vanished after taking our order. In the meantime, I found a long-handled iced tea spoon in the tableware packet. Not the ideal tool to eat the bean soup with. When the waitress did finally show up to deliver the check, I was done. I had eaten the bowl of beans with the small, long-handled tea spoon...pretty much....one bean at a time. Not my top choice for Mexican food in Broken Arrow, but it might be yours. Be sure to ask for a spoon before the waitress disappears. read more

The man who took my To-go order was very friendly and the staff that passed by me as I was waiting were very attentive, each asking if I had been helped. I ordered the chimichanga and substituted fajita steak instead of chicken or beef. I received a tortilla filled with fajita steak(thinly sliced steak for tacos, is how I would describe the meat) that was deep fried. I believe they could stand to add something inside this Chimichanga besides just meat, maybe some cheese, Pico, or beans, just something to hold it together a little more. There was hardly a noticeable amount of queso sauce on the chimichanga (pretty sure it all soaked into the top on the way home) so over all this made it quite a dry experience. The beans and rice were good. The chips were thicker chips and crispy. I eat some pretty spicy stuff so I am probably not a real good judge at the spice level of the salsa so use your own judgement here, I did not find it spicy at all but rather a little salty. I plan on stopping back by and trying other items and dining in but overall, it was your average texmex style restaurant food you find in Oklahoma. read more

Their food is an American version of Mexican. I had a hard shell American taco and two soft shell Mexican tacos and my shell taco tasted like it was fried In peanut oil and the Mexican tacos. They put them on flour tortillas. no taste to the American taco no seasoning at all. Salsa was good. Your margaritas had no alcohol in them. That's why they're $1.99 I guess. Service was good fast and friendly. if we ever go back, I will try something different but there's too many really good. Mexican restaurants in Tulsa so probably won't waste my time. My first visit was April 14th, shortly after they opened their first NE Oklahoma location. We visit a minimum of 2 times a month. I have kicked up La Huerta's rating to 5 stars because they meet my criteria for an excellent dining experience, Quality, Service, Price and Consistency. If your food is great quality, you usually will come back. If the service sometimes falls short, most people will give them another chance. and lastly if the price is a great value, and they are consistent they become a favorite. Today many restaurants are struggling due to the fact their price has far exceeded the value. I have spoken to the management of La Huerta, and I assure you they are constantly aware of pricing their brand with value and quality in mind. Their consistency is excellent. Stay tuned for some unbelievable specials coming up in 2025. I do not work for LA Huerta but after a lifetime career in foodservice sales, I have seen many chain and independent restaurants close up because they make the mistake of thinking their customers don't know the difference between great food and mediocre. If you haven't visited La Huerta because of the failure of the two previous businesses at that location, don't deprive yourself any longer of this delicious Mexican dining. Went to La Huerta Grill , yesterday for the first time, for dinner in response to heavy advertising for "Taco Tuesday" with low priced Margaritas and street tacos. We were seated soon after entering lobby and seated in the bar. We chose a pub table because the booth we were given had a rocking table. It was corrected quickly but we liked the pub table since we were established. Rigo and Ramon both took care of us through dinner. I have a severe allergic reaction to Cilantro; and in many restaurants were it is usually in lots of food items and limits my choices, Rigo and Ramon made sure my order did not have any. They brought me queso while my wife had their salsa that she said was very good. They even had fresh guacamole made for me without Cilantro and it was some of the best I've had! We really liked the food. My Camarones a la Diabla, with 3 tortillas, was very spicy as expected, and my ala carte al Pastor street taco was excellent. Service was very good [the right hand did know what the left hand was doing] and other staff was attentive too. The young girl at the counter at the entrance made fresh tortillas, cleaned used menus and seated new arrivals too--impressive attention to details all around. Mauricio Sanchez, singing at the fireplace, started right after 6 PM and had a nice voice and was pleasant to hear while there. We will be back. read more
