Beans and rice

Disclaimer: we ordered through Grubhub for delivery. Have never dined in, and this is the first time we've had anything from this restaurant. I am a Tejana who learned to cook most of these dishes at my mama's side. There must not be a single person employed there who knows how to cook Tex-Mex, which is essentially what we ordered. Salsa: too much oregano, no bite, not in the slightest piquante. Very disappointing. Salsa from a jar tastes better. Fajitas Texanas beef, chicken, shrimp with green bell peppers and onions : the only thing that tasted good Tortillas: arrived warm, but undercooked Rice: bland and pale but moist Refried beans: okay, but topped with too much cheese for my taste Guacamole: I suspect they added mayonnaise, extremely bland, very disappointing. Glad I did not order a side portion at $8.00 (Grubhub price). Chile Verde dinner: large chunks of fatty pork in bland, canned tomatillo sauce. They didn't even try to doctor up the sauce, and it was just poured over the pork. The pork is supposed to cook simmer in the sauce after it's been browned. This is not even a distant cousin to the real thing which uses real Anaheim or Hatch chiles, onions and is very savory. Luckily, my husband who is from the northern tier where spicy means salt and pepper thinks the pork tastes good. I was going to chuck the whole thing out. Maybe I'll just make my own sauce and add the pork to it.

Always a delicious experience!!! This is classy nice place but has some original home cooked Mexican food!!! The ceviche and aguachiles could be more spicy but they were so yummy! Fajita meat was flavored up nice and good rice not mushy . Charro beans was real good like your grandmas with the little pieces of hotdogs Take a date take a cake , celebrate or go solo for lunch. Full bar and plenty of seating

So good! I got one chicken quesadilla and one steak quesadilla. The steak was my favorite. Service was fantastic! Our waiter was amazing!

Skinny margarita and swirl margarita

Generous portions! Waiter was immediately asked about queso and other appetizers and provided recommendations. Skinny marg was don't perfectly! The restaurant was clean and well taken care of by staff. Will be back!

Fast service, good food and nice clean joint. I really like the ceviche they serve. My fish tacos were tasty, I'm going to try them fried next time.

A good rule of thumb for safely eating Mexican food in Broken Arrow Oklahoma is "DON'T EAT MEXICAN FOOD IN BROKEN ARROW, OKLAHOMA!" If you will look at the current Yelp rated "Top Ten" Mexican restaurants in Broken Arrow you will only find one with a current displayed Yelp health score above 50, most came in, in the 40's. In my opinion any Yelp rating below 60 is unacceptable. So, what about Casa Tequila? As of today, Yelp does not have a health score rating posted. I went to the Tulsa Health Dept. website and pulled up the last inspection report. I am not sure what score rating Yelp would give the restaurant (when they do), but from what I read in the actual inspection I was not real uncomfortable with dining there. I really hope they will do good. Broken Arrow needs a Mexican restaurant with a clean kitchen and a manager that cares about the safety of his customers. Casa Tequila... The restaurant is clean spacious and nicely decorated. We were promptly greeted and seated with good separation from other customers. Our waitress, Jennifer was friendly and very attentive. Meal starts with the typical chips and salsa. Both fresh and good. They do have hotter salsa. We had the Steak and Cheese Burrito and the Enchiladas Verdes. Skipping the boring details of beans and rice... what stood out was the abundance of meat in both meals. The enchiladas were packed with nicely seasoned chicken covered in a delicious salsa verde. The burrito was loaded with steak and cheese and then smothered with cheese. Both meals were very good.

I tried this for the first time and the food was very good. The chips however I cannot eat because they had a spicy seasoning on them and it made them impossible for me to eat. This also was good but I could really enjoy my favorite part of the Mexican restaurant because they put the seasoning on our chips. I feel it's not a good idea to put the seasoning on all chips that you serve some people can't have that. Everyone enjoyed their food it was not outstanding it was not bad but it was good.

We've been wanting to try this new Broken Arrow Mexican restaurant and we were totally shocked at how affordable it was. Lunch was incredibly good. I had steak, shrimp and chicken and my husband had a steak our total bill with tip was under $30. Chips and salsa was good. The staff was fantastic and friendly. Even sent us home with chips and salsa in our to go package. We'll be back many more times. Looks like this will be our go to Mexican food for BA now.

I have to come to bat for this new Mexican restaurant in broken Arrow on Hillside Drive, which is a phenomenal location. The service was absolutely top-notch. Our server, and our host, were on point with drink refills, greetings, and wrapup. The space wide and open. The food was fast and fantastic. Living in El Paso for a few years, it's always hard to find great Mexican food. I ordered the tamale and enchilada, and they were perfect. They are also sending coupons in the broken Arrow local coupon mailing, so take a look at that.

Those are guacamole, birria tacos and street tacos. When we received the chips and salsa, I noticed the salsa lacked some cilantro, but had a unique flavor, different from our other favorite Mexican food establishments. My wife was really fond of it, but said it was ok. I really liked it, even if it lacked cilantro. The guacamole came out and it looked like my guac that make at home. It was very good, didn't need any additional salt and was not overpowering in lime. I'd give it 10/10. My wife ordered the chicken street tacos. She said they were the best out of all the places we go. The chicken was flavorful and the tortillas didn't fall apart. It came with a tomatillo crema that was infused with jalapeños and was too spicy for her. I got the Birria tacos and they were especially good with the crema. The birria consumé was excellent. The rice was fluffy and tender and the refried beans were on point. They serve Coke products which includes Coke Zero and they were quick with the refills. We will definitely put this place as #2 on our list of go-to Mexican cuisine establishments. They are located in the Rose District, so the prices will be slightly higher, but it's still worth the visit.

There's a parking lot in this plaza, and we were seated immediately upon arrival. They offered complementary chips and dips (salsa and queso). We ordered additional guac. The chorizo queso is sooooo good! I ordered the birria taco plate and I'd say this is very authentic compared to food back home (California)! They were generous with the birria and the consome is chefs kiss!!! The staff did a wonderful job in assuring our needs were met and that we were satisfied. I hope this place is just renovating and hopefully will reopen in the foreseeable future. I would love to see this place continue to thrive!

Really good and would order again. Rice and beans were probably above average. My dining partner asked how the chile relleno was prepared. (He doesn't like the eggy batter.) We were literally told that it came premade and frozen and was "just fried." Obviously, he ordered the street tacos instead. We sat at the bar and it took a bit to get waited on but the manager jumped in and gave us water and silverware. I liked my Blackberry-Rosemary Marg but I honestly didn't feel like it had much tequila in it. The regular marg was just OK. Since it is a tequila bar and we sat at the bar, I would have liked to have discussed tequilas but my bad for not asking. Would have loved to have done a tasting. The menu was informative. I would go back when in south Tulsa. Not sure I would make it a destination. (Well, maybe. Those enchiladas were good! It is a cute place.

We arrived around 6:45pm for the 7pm bingo, only to find out it wasn't being held on the patio as advertised. That was fine--it was hot out anyway. We were shown to a small indoor section and luckily grabbed the last high-top table. Service was very slow. We waited a while before anyone came by, and it took 40 minutes to get my margarita. Our food actually came out before our drinks. I ordered a skinny margarita but got something syrupy and full of sweet & sour mix instead. Tried to switch to wine, but surprise--they don't serve wine. At a full bar. Odd. The food was just okay at best. * "Cilantro lime" rice had corn and no trace of cilantro or lime. Not good. * Black beans with pico--bland. * Cheese enchilada--fine, but forgettable. * Queso tasted like El Chico (nostalgic, but not in a good way). * Salsa had zero spice. Our server was rarely around, and when we were ready to pay, we actually had to get up and ask the manager at the host stand to bring us our check. Not a great ending to the meal. Bingo was... fine. It moved fast but had long breaks in between rounds. We played five games and didn't win. Prizes were $10 gift cards--not bad, but not enough to bring us back.

As a young lady walked by our table, I asked for the hot stuff. She quickly returned with a generous bowl and a warning about its effectiveness. My wife chimed in with "don't worry, he can handle it." The friendly young lady was Christina the owner. I talked with her before we left the restaurant. I was curious about the restaurant's history. It used to be out on Highway 51 towards Coweta, then several years ago, they relocated to Tiger Plaza on Kenosha. Her and her husband bought the restaurant recently. She explained that even though they retained the name and menu they are in no way related to the other Los Mariachis Mexican Restaurant operating in Jenks. She emphasized that. The restaurant has a burrito they call the Burrito El Bravo. It is filled with grilled beef, homemade chorizo, refried beans, shredded cheese, and pico de gallo. The pico de gallo was made with fresh chopped jalapenos, lots of jalapenos. The overstuffed burrito was then covered with queso. Fresh cut crunchy potato chips came with the meal. The house made zesty chorizo stood out to make the burrito the most flavorful, spicy, meat filled tortilla I have had. A stimulating savory combination, but not so hot that it was difficult to eat. It didn't need any additional salsa though. You want some delicious meaty, spicy Mexican food, order this burrito! My wife had the "Build Your Own Lunch." Her selection was a ground beef taco and enchilada. The enchilada was covered with green sauce, beans and rice on the side. She enjoyed great meal.
