Yes, There are better Mexican places out there but this place is not bad. The service was excellent and the ambiance was typical of any Tex mex joint. Did it blow my socks off? No...but I would eat there again if the opportunity came up. I walked out stuffed to the brim and had leftovers. The most impressive thing, the dessert plate of sopapillas was only a few bucks. I do want to try some of the various appetizer queso dips.

Great meal. Everything you could ask for on the very first try. The shrimp were plump, seasoned, and charred perfectly on one side with the caramelized onions, peppers, and tomatoes. I received four corn tortillas which was the perfect amount. The salsa was fresh and the pico had just the right amount of jalapeño. Loved the guacamole. Nice place, nice waitstaff. Plenty of lighted parking right out front. Great family restaurant.

It was a beautiful day in June and we found ourselves hungry for Mexican. Do we try a place we love and cherish? Do we try a new place? We landed here. We came one night weeks ago when they were about to close so we couldn't come in. Worth the wait!! Sooo good. Daisy will take excellent care of you! We also had a small queso with grilled jalapeños on the side by special request. The ice cream on the cake was the Churro.

Health Score 57? Odd that the last inspection had 0 Violations yet the health score was 57? How does that work? Maybe it is an average of all their previous inspections? This is our second visit to Mexico Lindo. The last time (pre-covid-19) we dined inside and really enjoyed the food and service. We were getting desperate for restaurant Mexican food so, because of the health score rating of over 50, I thought it was time for another try. For today's to go order we had the Enchiladas Verdes (Three chicken enchiladas with a green salsa, rice and beans) and Pollo Escondido (Grilled chicken with spinach and white cheese, topped with shrimp, rice & beans.) The Enchiladas Verdes were very good and hit the spot for an urgently need Mexican food fix. I really didn't care for the taste of the Pollo Escondido and the 20 minute ride home was not kind to it. The water in the spinach diluted the cheese sauce to a watery soup. Not the restaurant's fault, but I would not recommend getting this meal to go. Beans, rice and guac , all good! The restaurant was VERY generous with the chips and we ordered a side of queso. They make excellent hot and mild salsas. I had to go into the restaurant to pick up the order. I was disappointed that the lady at the cash register was wearing her mask around her chin. I didn't stay in the restaurant long enough to see what the rest of the staff was doing. Now back to the health score. I am still puzzled as to why their health score is 57 with 0 violations on the last inspection. But, in general the health scores of restaurants in the Tulsa area are pathetic! There are only 4 Mexican restaurants that I can find, that can make a score of better than 60. If they can't even pass the minimal county health inspection, how well do you think they are doing in meeting CDC guidelines to protect you and their staff from the virus? So, Yelp reviewers I challenge you to start your review with the health score of the restaurant. It's time to start the wall of shame! Our health and safety is on the line here. No more passes for dirty restaurants! Previous Reviewed May 9, 2019 Great for Lunch! They have a big menu, including lunch specials. The service was very good and fast! The Pollo Mexico and the Enchilada Lunch special were great. Both meals come covered with a delicious cheese sauce, and rice and beans. The chips were warm and crisp. They have a hot salsa that you can get upon request! Be sure to order a chili toreado to go with your meal!

The cheese! The cheese! Go for the queso! Mexico Lindo did not disappoint! Good eats! The salsa, however, needs a revamp, it tastes like marinara. Hmmmph.

Since this was our first visit here, we had to order our comparison dishes. Those are guacamole, birria tacos and street tacos. When we received the chips and salsa, I noticed the salsa lacked some cilantro, but had a unique flavor, different from our other favorite Mexican food establishments. My wife was really fond of it, but said it was ok. I really liked it, even if it lacked cilantro. The guacamole came out and it looked like my guac that make at home. It was very good, didn't need any additional salt and was not overpowering in lime. I'd give it 10/10. My wife ordered the chicken street tacos. She said they were the best out of all the places we go. The chicken was flavorful and the tortillas didn't fall apart. It came with a tomatillo crema that was infused with jalapeños and was too spicy for her. I got the Birria tacos and they were especially good with the crema. The birria consumé was excellent. The rice was fluffy and tender and the refried beans were on point. They serve Coke products which includes Coke Zero and they were quick with the refills. We will definitely put this place as #2 on our list of go-to Mexican cuisine establishments. They are located in the Rose District, so the prices will be slightly higher, but it's still worth the visit.

There's a parking lot in this plaza, and we were seated immediately upon arrival. They offered complementary chips and dips (salsa and queso). We ordered additional guac. They were generous with the birria and the consome is chefs kiss!!! The staff did a wonderful job in assuring our needs were met and that we were satisfied. Really good and would order again. Rice and beans were probably above average. My dining partner asked how the chile relleno was prepared. (He doesn't like the eggy batter.) We were literally told that it came premade and frozen and was "just fried." Obviously, he ordered the street tacos instead. We sat at the bar and it took a bit to get waited on but the manager jumped in and gave us water and silverware. I liked my Blackberry-Rosemary Marg but I honestly didn't feel like it had much tequila in it. The regular marg was just OK. Since it is a tequila bar and we sat at the bar, I would have liked to have discussed tequilas but my bad for not asking. Would have loved to have done a tasting. The menu was informative. I would go back when in south Tulsa. Not sure I would make it a destination. (Well, maybe. Those enchiladas were good! It is a cute place.

We arrived around 6:45pm for the 7pm bingo, only to find out it wasn't being held on the patio as advertised. That was fine--it was hot out anyway. We were shown to a small indoor section and luckily grabbed the last high-top table. Service was very slow. We waited a while before anyone came by, and it took 40 minutes to get my margarita. Our food actually came out before our drinks. I ordered a skinny margarita but got something syrupy and full of sweet & sour mix instead. Tried to switch to wine, but surprise--they don't serve wine. At a full bar. Odd. The food was just okay at best. * "Cilantro lime" rice had corn and no trace of cilantro or lime. Not good. * Black beans with pico--bland. * Cheese enchilada--fine, but forgettable. * Queso tasted like El Chico (nostalgic, but not in a good way). * Salsa had zero spice. Our server was rarely around, and when we were ready to pay, we actually had to get up and ask the manager at the host stand to bring us our check. Not a great ending to the meal. Bingo was... fine. It moved fast but had long breaks in between rounds. We played five games and didn't win. Prizes were $10 gift cards--not bad, but not enough to bring us back.
