    Fiesta Lunch (added a egg)

So the food tasted really good for me. But the service was awful. Our server was not attentive to us at all and we saw him like twice through this lunch and even had to ask another server for a pen to sign our check. We should've known the service was gonna be bad because we were seated by another server when we sat down and saw him more than our actual server. We went on cinco de mayo and there were no specials whatsoever.

The atmosphere is always nice. However the food was not good. Rice was overcooked and mushy without flavor and I didn't even get to tast my entrée due to there being g hair in it. The manager comped my meal but was adamant that he was NOT going to do anything else. My friends and I were appalled at how rude and short he was with us. I think his name was Ramon. Anyway he just lost my business.

This place does a fine job with their Mexican dishes. The place is away near as a pin. The service is always great. Salsa: It is good...not the best ever...but solid enough. I like their hotter version better. Fajitas: they had a good taste; I'd like a bit better grade of steak used. Had a few pieces that were really chewy...and not able to swallow. Tacos: Good tacos; basic; but good. Rice & Beans: Either was a very good side addition. I've been to this place a few different times. It's always a good place to dine.

Idk how these folks stay in biz with the amount of food they give you! The service is also impeccable. Love the ambiance as it is quite cozy in here - however the real star and the reason we keep coming back is the fajitas for two! Just check out that mountain of food on that sizzling skillet (I don't know if it does sizzle as I almost always blackout upon thee foods arrival) insert drool emoji. And what is even more crazy is we always have left overs. My only complaint is the guac was small and wasn't worth the almost 10 dollars but other than that this will be a weekly staple for us.

With the rising cost of living, it is difficult to find a restaurant for lunch under $10 and be full. It is almost impossible to find a restaurant where both lunch and dinner cost less than $10. But through Casa Tequila, everything is possible. The lunch entrees at Casa Tequila come in huge portion that I would end up eating it for both lunch and dinner. This is what I did for the chimichanga lunch, the tequila bowl lunch, Pollo El Queso lunch. All these lunch entrees are delicious, with the Tequila bowl lunch being my favorite because it has rice, black beans, and grilled chicken. Lunch entrees also come with chips and salsa that to go order comes in a big paper bag. They really give you so much food that it's impossible for one person to finish it all in one sitting, making it of the most valued restaurants.

Dan and I got steak lunch fajitas. The tortillas were the best part, and possibly the only good part of the meal. They appeared to be homemade and were extremely good. An inadequate serving of fajita meat came on a huge plate of onions, green and orange bell pepper, and tomatoes. The steak lacked flavor and the vegetables tasted like stewed vegetables. I think that's because the tomato added liquid. The guacamole and sour cream were served on a large bed of lettuce. The inadequate portions of guacamole and sour cream were served on a large plate of shredded lettuce. Both the guac and sour cream had a very thin consistency and sank into the lettuce. The servers worked very hard, especially the runners, who did literally run much of the time. I don't know how they keep going at that pace. It was entertaining watching the runners carry multiple plates lined up on their arms from wrist to shoulder. I don't know how they do it without dropping dishes. They are quite skilled. We had trouble getting what we needed because of their division of labor. The runner forgot the tortillas and plates and we had trouble getting someone's attention. As soon as we were able to get attention, they brought our plates and tortillas quickly. The restaurant is elaborately decorated. I would describe the ambiance as busy rather than relaxing. That's because of the runners having to hurry so fast. I tend to prefer a relaxing atmosphere when I dine. Casa Tequila charges for credit cards. I understand that restaurants are charged by the credit card companies and they have to pass the cost on to their customers, but we've become accustomed to restaurants rolling that expense into their prices. It's inconvenient to pay cash at restaurants. We seldom carry cash, any more, and it's more difficult to leave the exact amount we want to tip. Obviously, it's difficult for the restaurant to make correct change, too. The server just rounded our change to the dollar and didn't give us our coin change. It wasn't enough for it to be worth our time asking for the coins. We could pay the credit card fee. The fee was actually less than what it cost us having to leave a higher tip because we didn't have the right change and not getting all our change back. We could pay the fee, but we tend to just avoid restaurants that charge credit card fees.

    Filete De Pescado

My boyfriend and I have been here several times over the last 3-4 months. The hosts, servers, and food runners are always very polite. The margaritas are STRONG! Most recently we came Saturday November 10, 2024. He ordered the Filete De Pescado and I had the Super Nachos with the meat to the side. The nachos first came out with meat on them. So we had to send it back. When it came out the second time they gave me the wrong meat. I asked for chicken instead of steak. But it didn't matter really. I wasn't going to eat it but give it to my boyfriend's dogs. They don't take money off for not having meat in a dish so that's why I got it to the side. The nachos were good. Very basic but it's what I wanted. My boyfriend enjoyed his Filete De Pescado and let me have some of his fish. It was delicious! I'm not a scallop fan or else I would have ordered what he got, I think next time I'll just order the Filete De Pescado and not eat the scallops that come with it. Everything was delicious and came out hot. Again, the staff were very friendly and I have no complaints. The atmosphere was calm and they didn't have the music blaring which I can find a little abrasive something in Mexican restaurants but the keep it a good level here. We Will definitely eat here again!

Hot hot hot I don't think the AC is working, they had fans but with the miserable heat outside then hot and stuffy inside, order to go for now!!! The appetizer was mix of ceviche and aguachiles, pretty good but needed more flavor - marinate a lil longer. Mango ceviche was my fav!!!! Mmmmm good! Steak burrito was massive and beans and rice. The queso pollo was big plate and looked yummy. Chips and salsa fresh never stale! Server was good although had to ask for drink refill, there were some annoying flies too gggrrr. Parking is always tight here so good luck finding a spot. Most likely order to go next time!

Everything was so good!! I'd definitely go back!!! The chimichanga is amazing!! I was too full to try the sopapillas but based on how amazing the tortilla on the chimichanga was I just know it's worth another trip SOON!! Chips are nice and thick with just the right kick on the salsa. 10/10 recommend The drinks weren't as smooth as I'd like but they were good and as you can see they are a great size. The margarita menu is huge so have fun with it! I'll try frozen next.

There's a parking lot in this plaza, and we were seated immediately upon arrival. They offered complementary chips and dips (salsa and queso). We ordered additional guac. The chorizo queso is sooooo good! I ordered the birria taco plate and I'd say this is very authentic compared to food back home (California)! They were generous with the birria and the consome is chefs kiss!!! The staff did a wonderful job in assuring our needs were met and that we were satisfied. I hope this place is just renovating and hopefully will reopen in the foreseeable future. I would love to see this place continue to thrive!

Really good and would order again. Rice and beans were probably above average. My dining partner asked how the chile relleno was prepared. (He doesn't like the eggy batter.) We were literally told that it came premade and frozen and was "just fried." Obviously, he ordered the street tacos instead. We sat at the bar and it took a bit to get waited on but the manager jumped in and gave us water and silverware. I liked my Blackberry-Rosemary Marg but I honestly didn't feel like it had much tequila in it. The regular marg was just OK. Since it is a tequila bar and we sat at the bar, I would have liked to have discussed tequilas but my bad for not asking. Would have loved to have done a tasting. The menu was informative. I would go back when in south Tulsa. Not sure I would make it a destination. (Well, maybe. Those enchiladas were good! It is a cute place.

As what was stated over the phone, the moment we walked in, we were seated. The place is very intimate in space, I'd recommend for dates. I went with the Enchiladas, something I've been craving for a couple of months & La Tertulia helped that fix. There were a few meats to choose from & I went with chorizo. The wait on the food wasn't long (people were starting to fill in as well & it didn't stop the servers from being on point) & the food was really good. Coming in with 3 enchiladas, stuffed with the chorizo & the fixins, I was left full after I finished. The spanish rice & pinto beans were good as well, paired good with the enchiladas. The chorizo looked more like breakfast sausage more than the chorizo that's more on the dark brown + reddish tint I'm used too. The enchiladas also come with chiles (I picked green) & plenty of cheese. Side Note: Chips & salsa were also super good, my favorite type of salsa. Kinda like a Taquera/Molcajete style. I was so hungry that the chips & salsa didn't slow me down from running through my main entree.

It's well-worn but clean. Staff is quick and friendly. The prices are very reasonable. You'll leave full, but not bloated. I've been a fan of El Rio Verde for many years and always look forward to eating here. It's not a large place and only has perhaps four or five booths and a half-dozen tables, and it fills up fast at lunch. They're known for their "Wet Burrito," but the enchiladas and burritos are also outstanding. The refried beans are fresh and made in-house. The salsa is freshly made too and very good, but not memorable like the food. You'll see people from all walks of life eating here - couples, single moms with children, police officers, business people, blue collar workers, and everyone in-between. However, as of this review, be aware that Utica Avenue, just east of the restaurant, has been blocked to north-bound traffic only for water main replacement, so getting into the neighborhood is easier than leaving.
