The competitors selected are as follows: Slim Chickens, Chick-fil A, Waldo's, Zaxby's, Red Light Chicken, Chicken and the Wolf, and Charlies Chicken. Zaxby's is a no service fast food place. There was a warm body at the counter to take our order. They made an impression. Not good. Zaxby's save some money, cut staff. A touch screen kiosk for the customer interface would be an improvement. So, order your food. Pick up your food and get your own drink. Not that big of a deal. Just like McDonalds. The salad. Bagged salad mix (a little stale). Most fast-food joints use the premade salad mix; not unusual. A good-sized bowl of mixed greens. A small amount of chicken. A mediocre salad. Not recommended. This is the second time that I have tried a Zaxby's. The one on Yale in Tulsa a few years ago was just average. I have never been back to a Zaxby's until now. I gave them this one more last try. Zaxby's is the weakest player in the chicken business. Yelp rates all the stores in the Tulsa/Owasso area at 3.1 stars. I think that is spot on. Not a stelar rating. Zaxby's has a "may be going out of business soon" vibe to them. I just had possibly the VERY WORST salad that I've EVER had. It was a Cobb salad that I picked up and took home to eat. Disgustingly, the green in the salad had black spots on many of the pieces. Additionally, there was liquid/water covering the entire bottom of the container! It seemed to be somewhat murky looking. This salad was the nastiest thing I've seen in a loooong time. Summary: Chicken fast food. A grandson's "chicky" wishes led us to Zaxby's--a less familiar chicken chain to me because it's not in my neck of the woods. Our group enjoyed ample salads and sandwich meals that included crispy French fries lightly covered in seasoned salt. If you don't want chicken, this isn't the place for you: Chicken combos, wings, fingers, nuggets and salads make up the menu. The best I could tell, the only menu items without chicken were desserts, some sides, and soft drinks. I've eaten at Zaxby's a number of times so I can honestly say I don't think I've had a bad piece of chicken here.  The fries are usually hot and the Texas toast, with all those carbs covered in glorious butter, just YUM!  They occasionally have themed kids events with face painting and games.  Sometimes with guest appearances from pirates, princesses or even Santa!  My kids love attending these! read more

So this is a food chain... and when you are in the mood for chicken they can definitely fill up your belly. If you love teriyaki sauce, i highly suggest asking for it on the side b/c you can get a bit more than they usually put on... This will also allow you to test the chicken out too.. Which it is really good. The fries are the crinkle cut, and i really wish they would come up with some season salt that would take this place up a notch. It's a fast food chicken joint, I get it. I don't expect fine dining. I do expect not to be served cold, greasy chicken that cost over $30 for two people. The place was a ghost town at dinner which should have been a red flag. There was one other couple there. We placed our order which was surprisingly expensive for an order of mushrooms, chicken strips for two and two drinks. the mushrooms were tiny, soggy & greasy & cold, just like the chicken. If I could rate it less I would. Please know, I love Zaxby's food. However. I went through the drive through and ordered. I was asked to move up to a partying spot as they made fresh chicken. That's not unusual for food places. 23 minutes later I got my food. Only after calling inside, giving them my receipt number and suggesting I'm still waiting. This was a regular stop for the family. But after this last time...I don't think I'll be back. I think it's the no shits given attitude of the employees. I used the mobile ordering. I sent my kid in to pick up the order a few minutes after the pickup time. 15 minutes later and seeing about 10 cars order and pick up their food from the drive through I went in to find my kid still waiting. I tried to talk to 2 employees. But they all ignored me. Then I was asked if I was ready to order. The manager walked up 10 minutes later and asked if I had been helped. I explained and he said they were under staffed and how it's not there fault for the delay. So after about 30 minutes after my pick up time the food is ready. Worst part about is I never even got my drink that I even payed to upsize and the kicken chicken sando was dry... almost no sauce at all. read more

The grounds outside is clean as well inside the facility including the ladies restroom is clean. The facility is practicing social distancing and provides hand sanitizer. We ordered chicken fingers and fries. We drank sweet tea and another drink. The drink serving machine appeared clean but many of the Dasani flavored selections were out of product. The food was hot. The chicken fingers were a bit overcooked. We found the fingers were pretty thin as compared to other chicken places but this may be due to overcooking. We do not use much salt and we found the Texas toast, chicken fingers, and fries so intensely salted we had a difficult time eating the food. Somebody that likes a lot of salt would be happy with the food. The dipping sauce was not something we cared for but this is personal preference. Most likely when eating out in the future we will go to another place as Owasso has several choices as to where diners spend their dollars. read more

Oddly for me, I've been to Zaxby's twice in less than a week. I seldom if EVER hit ANYWHERE that frequently. First trip was lunch during my daughter's Special Olympics meet across the street at the Owasso High School. We (the Olympians and parents) mobbed the place during lunch. To their credit, the staff didn't bat an eye at the influx of rowdy kids. They adroitly delivered orders amidst chaos and confusion without a hitch. I already had a previous lunch scheduled (Boom A Rang Diner's AYCE Catfish down the road), so I sort of chummed off of my wife and daughter's plates. Fries were standard crinkle-cut, but well cooked and seasoned. Chicken tender was crispy, perfectly cooked, juicy and flavorful. Another reviewer compared it unfavorably to Cane's, and I must respectfully disagree. I've had Cane's on a few occasions, and always under duress. I would eat Zaxby's again. So cut to today at lunch. I set out in search of a salad, thinking of hitting up Boom A Rang (they have a pretty good grilled chicken salad), and as I was nearing the intersection with Zaxby's, I recalled how good their salads looked last week. I pulled in, ordered their Cobb Salad and had lunch. First off, it's not a Cobb Salad. It's a mixed salad. It's still good, but it doesn't have all the fixings that a real Cobb has. That said, the chicken was grilled very nicely with good flavor. The greens were all fresh, with no limp pieces. I won't go into all the ingredients, you can look that up for yourself. With the exception of the diced cucumbers (which I don't like, as a rule), I cleaned house on that salad. In short, I will go back, for sure for the salads. The calorie count on the chicken finger dinners is pretty darn high for me, but the salads.... yeah, they're good. read more

Blue Salad was flavorful with tender blackened chicken. The place is clean. Even with being full the dining area was not that loud. Good portion sizes for kids meals. They need a better server system like McAllister's. read more

Just went there tonight for their Easter family night, by far great service and food. Was very quick as well. The manager was there meeting families and greeted everyone, I have had many great experiences at this location. read more
