Me and 5 other people came tonight here to enjoy the outside patio, and the live music. I ordered the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich, and was skeptical ordering. I was like, as long as it is as big as Chik Fil A's patty's (which are smaller even still), it should be good. The chicken patty that was on the sandwich had to be 1/8th or 1/16th of an inch thick.... The lettuce on the sandwich, was thicker..... Not only that.....but the chicken was hard, probably from how thin the patty was.... The fries were ok, but they were definitely skimpy on portions for a 15$ plate. My friends and I tried this for the first time and there was only one waitress so the service was a bit slow, but it was still great. The food was wonderful and it was not their fault that they didn't have enough help. They were all decked out for the holidays. It was beautiful a waitress even volunteered to take our photos, which was super sweet. My burger was definitely a little dry and I did not need two patties, but that's how they all come. However, overall everything was good. I definitely wanna try other things on the menu. I appreciate they have daily specials. I tried the two dollar shrimp tacos and the shrimp was really good. This is hands down one of the funnest and yummiest spots to find a meal and/or adult bevy in Broken Arrow. A restaurant concept in an old church is amazing! They completely took over a 2 story area and made it something unique and interesting. There are essentially 2 restaurants in one here. During the day you get a menu from "The Bramble" which is breakfast and brunch type fair and at 3pm it switches to Shaky Jake's, which had more burgers, apps, wings etc. There's also a circle shaped full service bar in the middle of the building and seats all around. It already is a creative way to get folks in the door. The food though, always excellent!! When we arrived we wondered why people elected to eat outside on a hot summer day. - we found out. I want to start off by saying the waitress was perfect! She was the star of the show. The food was a bit above average. I would eat there again if I was with a group who wanted to go there. I don't think I would go back just for the food. The music.... They have live music. Typically this is great. Like someone singing at a softer level where you can still talk and hear others. Nope. The lady singing was incredibly loud. I can't even explain how loud it was. This restaurant is Bramble (for brunch) during the day and Shaky Jake's (for a casual dinner) in the evenings. Brunch was a lot better in my opinion. I do have limited options there (vegetarian) so I was hoping the black bean burger would be good enough for a repeat visit....in case my hubby really loved his burger. The menu has a good selection of items for meat eaters so it was hard for hubby to pick something. Funny enough we had the exact same table that we had when we came for brunch - the service was not as good this time though. We arrived pretty hungry so we ordered some fried pickles as an appetizer; you can choose either dill pickles or sweet pickles, we chose dill. They were great! Thankfully in chips and not spears. I don't remember which burger my husband ordered but I had the "No meat, no problem" burger which was a black bean patty with vegan cheese, pico, lettuce, and guacamole with curly fries. The fries were cold but I love curly fries so that wasn't a big deal. I ordered no pico because, eww. The guacamole was sparse but the black bean patty was the biggest disappointment. For a mostly Tex-Mex sounding burger, the patty tastes like it contained five spice, according to my sous-chef husband. The flavors did not go together at all and the texture was so mushy. I have been a vegetarian for many years so I have had my share of black bean burgers - this was in my bottom 2. If we go back for dinner I don't know what I will get but it will not be the same burger. We will probably stick to brunch. read more

Strong 4 and don't be afraid of the rubble patty they are thin but not super thin. Meat was cooked perfectly and overall pretty good. I'm not a big fan on thick cut bacon but it wasn't too shabby. I couldn't tell about the ranch sauce n the avocado burger but it was still pretty good w fresh topping to boot. I'm noon r ya were fresh and made there and they didn't kill the plate w too many. This is another Bramble by day--another place by night joint. Instead of Holé Molé, it's Shaky Jake's. We've been on a best burger binge and Shaky Jake's was next up. The building is amazing (a repurposed church) and the location is stellar (Rose District). Service was great. (We sat at the bar and they were not busy at all because we were there for an early dinner.) The onion rings were kind of pedestrian and were a small serving for an appetizer. The accompanying sauce was good. We ordered the Big Jake and the Black and Blue burger. The grilled onion, garlic aioli, and pickles were great. The blackened spice wasn't very spicy and the bacon had a weird taste. (I pulled the bacon off.) The Big Jake was better and the lettuce was fresh and leafy. Both burgers came with a hefty serving of fires. No beers on tap but the cocktail I tried was great. I would try it again. I love the outdoor courtyard seating and would love to hang on a sunny afternoon. read more

Appetizers, best recently since Tucson are the Jalapeno poppers. They are getting the hang of it, the cream cheese mixture are tangy . The jalapenos could be larger but nonetheless there are delicious. But they must work on getting the bacon crispy, there is nothing worse tasting than flaccid , not crispy tasting bacon. We tried Tasty Jake's while visiting Tulsa and I'm so glad we did. I ordered the Mac Attack and it was delicious--rich, flavorful, and definitely something I'd get again. For drinks I had a Shaky Tiki and the Rita flight, and both were great choices. I really liked having the flight so I could try different margaritas, and the passion fruit margarita ended up being my favorite of the night. The service was good, we were seated quickly but most of come after a rush because there were lots of dirty tables. We got our food quickly and it was just. OMG just YES! First off - such a fun casual atmosphere. You can sit inside which definitely has a sports bar vibe, or they have outdoor seating which is fun and crazily enough-a little more intimate. For those interested, the other 2 will be Hole Mole operating during the evening time at the Pearl District Bramble and Hot Chicks at the Jenks Riverwalk Bramble. Each of these 3 Sirens Restaurant Group will offer breakfast and lunch daily from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and their respective specialties from late afternoon to night. The same group also own Bird & Bottle. The specialties at Shaky Jakes are supposedly burgers, franks, and wings. Shaky Jakes also has a bar that offers booze-infused milkshakes and ice cream floats and with other alcoholic drinks. Booze-infused milkshakes? That's new. I got the Bananas Over You which has banana cream moonshine, chocolate and caramel syrup, vanilla ice cream, milk, whipped cream, peanuts and cherry. It looks absolutely delicious and tastes good. You couldn't taste any alcohol at all because the sweetness just overpower anything else really. Coming at a price point of $14 each is a little steep. For burgers, the Big Jakes Original is a popular pick at this location. The burger comes with 2 patties, bacon, yellow cheddar, lettuce, and shaky sauce. Each entree comes with curly fries or salad. The burger is mostly meat and fats that it's just too much for me to handle. I could not finish it even though I haven't eaten anything since the night before. Keep in mind I came in at 7 PM after working an 11-12 hours shift. The bacon is really thick and mostly fat. Basically, you have meat, fat, cheese, fatty sauce, and one thin piece of lettuce between 2 buns. The restaurant is nice and the patio area is great. The facility might have been a church or something similar previously because of the decorative glass windows. I think this is a restaurant that you either like or dislike. Funny enough, this is sort of like Bird and Bottle. If you are into "fatty" burgers and you hate greens or would never order a salad at a restaurant, then this restaurant is for you. For anyone else who prefers lots of lettuce, tomatoes, onions in their burgers, this is the wrong restaurant. read more

We met some friends at Shaky Jake's for dinner and music one evening. It was so enjoyable and so glad we went! Food was delicious and they had some great drink offers. We moved outside to listen to the band. They were fabulous! It wasn't spicy. For entrees, we got 8 pieces of buffalo wings, 12 pieces split of mango habanero and whiskey peach wings, brisket Mac and cheese, and a smoke show burger. The buffalo wings were not that spicy. It still had a good buffalo flavor. The mango habanero wings tasted more mango than habanero, which wasn't bad but not what I was hoping. The whiskey peach wings were different. Our server said it was a popular flavor so I thought I'd give it a try. It was too sweet for my liking. The side salad I received with my wings were nothing special. It was just a normal garden salad. The brisket Mac and cheese was delicious. It could use more sauce. The smoke show burger was delicious as well. My husband devoured it. My husband and I also shared mango habanero margarita shaker. It was $12. It came out to about 4 drinks overall. Shaky Jakes in Broken Arrow hit a home run again! Just look at these nachos. $6 bucks for all this on Fri between 3 and 6pm. They have deals just about every day. I couldn't eat all of it, which means I'll get soggy nachos tomorrow after they sit in my refrigerator. And I LOVE soggy leftover nachos. I also ordered brisket mac & cheese. Amazing! Bramble transforms during late lunch/dinner hours to SHAKEY Jakes Burgers and Dogs. We've been wanting to try so we have it a shot. One adult (40), a young adult (19) and two kids (10,13) went for dinner. We called before going to be sure they had the patio open because we wanted to bring the pup along. Patio was open with some shaded tables and a decent breeze for the warm night. It really wasn't too unbearable to sit outside. Onto the food... One order of the Loaded Chorizo Chili Fries (normally an appetizer), a Mac Attack Dog, An Big Jake's Original Burger modified, and a Surf Dog. Momma even had a Pink Starburst specialty cocktail. Loaded Chorizo Chili Fries we delicious the first time around. The portion size was enough for everyone to snack on the plate and still take some home. I say the first time because they don't reheat very well. The Mac Attack was the 13 year olds. She picked the macaroni and cheese off and didn't eat much of the Frank. She said she didn't like it, the Frank that is. She ordered her dog with fries. The Big Jake's Original Burger was two Pattie's with lettuce, tomato, cheese, bacon and shakey sauce. The 10 year old ordered it with only mayonnaise, bacon and cheese. That's not how we got it. The burger was served with lettuce, bacon, cheese and shakey sauce. We had to peel the lettuce off and add a whole lot of Mayo to get rid of the shakey sauce for him. He also ordered with fries. We brought half a burger home. Not sure how that one reheated. And finally the Surf Dog. A Frank with diced avocado, mango and pineapple with cilantro and pickled onions. I though it was a great concept, BUT needs to be executed a bit better in order to truly get the flavor in a bite that they were looking for. I ate it with a knife and fork. The onions probably should have been pickled longer and needed more uniform slicing (ie mandolin slicer would have done the pickled onions wonders). I ordered my dinner with sweet potato fries. They were ok. Maybe fried a bit too long. How about a cocktail? I skimmed the menu and decided on the Pink Starbust. This was a bit disappointing to me. The presentation was lacking with a skewered strawberry slice and a pink starburst. The flavor resembled nothing of a pink starburst. This drink is not something I would recommend or order again. Overall, this was just an ok experience for me. Nothing that I have to go back to try and the food or drink was not enough to make me return. I am not saying don't try it, but don't go in with high expectations. read more

I'm convinced this is the hidden gem of the rose district and I almost didn't want to write this review because I don't want others to know how good it is! We went to district burger the night before and they give them a run for their money any day of the week! So avoid the wait and prices at district and come here, the burgers are HUGE, the fries are crunchy and hot and the Mac and cheese is cheesy messy goodness in a pan! My husband and I have eaten at Bramble a few times and have always loved the food and the service is top notch. So yesterday we decided to try Shaky Jakes. It's the same location as Bramble (same owners) but with a different menu. My husband had the Bramble Burger, which was two beef patties, ham, egg, hash browns, gravy, and mustard. He added bacon as well. He said it was phenomenal.
